Besides Loki, that wasn't part of the MCU originally. It's being adopted into it now. So I wouldn't count that as MCU because it produced separately and had zero connections to the MCU.
@@KidKomical Actually, it’s technically canon seeing that he’s in the same universe/timeline as The Avengers. In the Netflix MARVEL shows, they’ve referenced the Avengers a number of times. That’s why it was so easy for Daredevil to make random cameos in Spider-Man and She-Hulk. The same could be done with the Punisher. He could possibly show up in Daredevil’s new show seeing that they’ve already met in the Netflix shows.

Definitely need Jon back as Punisher. I know he doesn't have powers but I feel like he'd fit in with Logan, Deadpool, & Blade personality wise. May be an odd combo but I'd love to see them interact
Werewolf by Night is the building block of how Marvel should handle the dark tone
I definitely want a Punisher movie with Jon Bernthal where he just punishes, and maybe even a little bit of the War Machine Punisher.
Marvel and Disney should realize by now that the adults are the ones who willing to pay more money to see an adult themed MCU movie.
Many of their fans from 08-2012 when they set up avengers 1, were kids in which they worked because most of us were still kids. We’re at an age where we’re mostly all adults now and want to see more diverse content specifically for R rated content in the mcu

Oh they know, that's part of why they have don't some more r rated stuff. But I think they have to release some pg13 stuff. Because they are trying to milk this for as long as they can, they need to keep bringing in new fans (younger crowd) and cater to the adults too.

I’m sure Harrison ford will be great as thunderbolt Ross but William hurt really was a perfect casting!
I would also like to point out that audiences that were kids during phase 1 are now adults, so making R-rated media isn't throwing away their audience, rather following the ones since day one.
It was my impression that the red fluid in the opening titles to "Daredevil" was red wax, not blood. I believe this is a nod to Matt Murdock's Catholic faith, as a red candle in a Catholic sanctuary is a symbol that Christ is present.
I kinda think it was red wine, which is one of the Catholic communions meant to represent the blood of Jesus and his sacrifice.
I've honestly never given it any thought. I just thought it was supposed look cool.

It is what it should have been.
Crucifying Gods, forcing them into slave labor to build a bomb across time, & using their blood to fuel a time pool. It just doesn’t compare to the badass comic God Butcher saga (it was my first comic series & recently got me into reading them).
I still think Gorr was the better part of Love & Thunder, but man he seriously got nerfed & wasn’t given enough time. He only killed one god on-screen. It’s like he & Scarlet Witch had opposite issues. Her turn felt ruthless & sudden, Gorr wasn’t ruthless enough.
Dude should’ve at least invaded Omnipotence City & massacred all the gods. Korg’s death should’ve been permanent & that’s when the movie should’ve shifted to dark tone with Thor abandoning Zeus to be butchered, giving Hercules more reason to come after Thor.
This is a long shot but what if the Blade cameo from eternals is actually the ending/ credit scene for his film. Not sure what way they’re taking blade but he’s very old so it’s likely the story is somewhat in the past (even if only slightly). So ending with the same scene but shot from Ali’s perspective could bring his story forward and connect it to the larger world, hopefully leading into the midnight sons

I think that it is really smart for Disney to embrace these R-rated movies and shows. Something like Disney Plus after Dark or the Darker side of Disney Plus sounds great!
There is definitely a lot of potential here. I can’t wait to see what comes next for the MCU.
Personally, I'd love to get an R rated Ronin series. Let's see Clint absolutely murder the shit out of people and dealing with his emotional trauma. It'd even give us an insight as to how he linked up with Kingpin and did a job for him
What would be his arch though? It couldn't just be him murdering people with no story.
Marvel notoriously made a horrible mistake by not giving Black Widow the movie she deserved WHEN she deserved it. It needed to come out after Civil War. Clint, on the other hand, would be perfect to have a "previously during the Snap" movie. I agree, Raul, I'd love to see an R-rated Ronin series or movie. Let us see WHY he went crazy and started murdering people, then show how Kingpin got involved. 👍🏾👍🏾

I feel like certain ppl still don’t grasp how much maturity ratings can really make a difference, even years after movies like Deadpool and Logan. Just like how art styles make certain characters stand out in comics, different maturity levels make characters stand out in live-action. It’s one of the reasons the Daredevil show was able to stand out from the rest of the superhero shows we had been getting at that point. DD as a character doesn’t necessarily need to be TV-MA but it allowed the creators to dive deep into the mature aspects of him and his world without being weighed down by the burden of trying to keep things “light” for younger audiences.
People would go and say "but the batman was PG 13 and it was dark " yeah but then again it dark in term of style and tone but in terms of metrial,the boys for example is very very dark show, because of the story,you seen those characters get into very not very nice situations or moment, and the show don't hold back from his Punches for dive into the subject matter like white supremacy or addiction or even rape,the MCU could tell those stories that doesn't have any interest to pulled back and really dive those places the street level characters and the supernatural are the ones that definitely make sense to going with the rating because they are the places that much more go to very hardcore route and the much more grounded places in the MCU compere to the cosmic multiverse stuff
Punisher/ Deadpool / Wolverine crossover would be awesome
I would love to see Marvel bring back Hulk as a savage character and introduce Wolverine into a Hulk Vs movie similar to Wolverine's comic origin in a Hulk comic. Making a Hulk vs Wolverine movie rater R would be seriously cool and graphic, just as it should be with those characters.

My favorites for R movies/series are Blade, Punisher, Daredevil and Moon Knight. Love those character's and their actors so much.
The fact that Marvel still hasn't used Ghost Rider in the MCU (Agents doesn't really count because the movies ignore it) is really annoying.
Mephisto is coming next year so Ghost Rider can’t be far behind

Marvel should develop their own “black label” film universe with characters like Ghost Rider, Punisher, and other supernatural characters. Could make it it’s own thing
Marvel had that with their Marvel Knights film division.
Doom is one of the most complex and powerful characters in marvel. someone that can add complexity to the whole MCU

I have heard nothing about Daredevil being watered down. I've heard the opposite that they could make it the 1st live action show MA. Charlie Cox has said his show will be dark. He did a lighter character for She Hulk but that was only for that show not his. We can only hope for the MA version.

While I am not happy that James Gunn is undoing the current DC casting, especially only a few weeks after we got Henry Cavill back as Superman, I am confident his DCU will be very good. But the fact that he has such a good relationship with Kevin Feige makes me wonder if his hiring makes a Marvel/DC crossover film more likely (i.e. possible). It could be a co-production of Disney and WB with expenses and profits shared 50/50. I think that such a film would do Avengers Endgame type box office. I can't wait for them to take my money.

A great breakdown. I would love to see Marvel take a "phase" and tell us about the New Universe. The world is insane and ends in a world war fought by people with powers. Definitely an R rated finale. Think suicide squad meets band of brothers.
Daredevil deserves to be R rated too
No it should be tv-14 to introduce the character to new audiences. I was like 8 when the og was around and never got the chance, so I hope new generations can enjoy this character just as much as they enjoy Shang chi right now.

@@ZenithAngel according to my dad, some of the best scenes in daredevil didn’t have blood, they had plot. Daredevil doesn’t have to get his hands red too much if they just have a good plot. They can still go all in like they did with that falcon and the winter soldier scene. Just tone it down a bit from what the original was and people will be happy. I’ll be happy.

Punisher, Ghost rider, Deadpool and Blade have to be R. The Blade rewrite is giving me hope. I was disappointed at first but now I'm seeing it as an absolute win, really can't have a pg Blade.
One Marvel story I've always been fascinated by was Marvel Ruins as its such a depressing and bleak story about an alternative Marvel Universe where the idea of superheroes collapsed before it could begin.
I doubt Marvel Studio's would ever adapt such a story but I do wonder what it could look like?

this is a concept,Disney will not allow Marvel to explore it since its not part of their "business strategy".
But it could change, maybe.
So basically, what "the multiverse" offers is the artistic license to bypass the continuity demands of traditional sequels, prequels, and even reboots. Just pick a cast of name-brand characters, refurbish them into whatever variant flavors suit the script, and leave as much or little of the plot resolved at the end of each film to suit your marketing plans. No more need to worry about sequels, character arcs, or world-shattering events, as you can always ret-con ad infinitum.

One of the reasons why studios are taking less risks with movies whether it be due to the rating system or it being a niche story is mainly due to streaming taking over the DVD market. Matt Damon did a great job explaining this issue on the his episode of Hot Ones from the youtube channel First We Feast.

Nextwave is PRIME for an animated series that could lean mature, but wouldn't need to be explicitly R rated, especially since some of the great dark comedy uses creative censorship for cheap laughs.
Perfect example? Captain @#!$. Which swear is canonically inserted there? I think Ellis specifically pulled some misdirection so that there isn't a real answer. Having part of a character's name fully censored so that the fandom fights over which swear his name actually is, is comedic on a few levels, while not explicitly saying said word keeps the rating down.

I am curious as to why Marvel has not even hinted at Stephen Strange's older brother Victor yet? Victor Strange became a Vampire while in suspended animation, at the hands of the then occult student Dr. Stephen Strange. In the comics he was a Midnight Son against Lilith the mother of Demons. He also played a major part of the story during the Vampiric verses run of Doctor Strange. 2 story lines already hinted at in the MCU.

Characters like Daredevil, The Punisher, Wolverine, Blade etc. Needs more mature, graphic, gritty stories. And make thunderbolts r rated where punisher is in it along with electra, deadpool, agent venom, widow, etc.
I personally, want most of the Marvel movies to not exceed PG-13 so my kids can watch them with me but I'm not opposed to R-rated Marvel films so long as such films fit the tone of their characters.
Wesley Snipes is Blade. Nobody else should be currently, other than Snipes. Yes, he’s older now, but still in great shape and could easily fill the role for a bit.

This might be a bit niche, but I've really digged the marvel's wastelanders series. Its a dystopian future where a lot of the heroes fell during a coordinated attack from villians like Magneto, Dr.Doom, Red Skull etc. We have to see these heroes grieve following a depressing time where they aren't seen as heroes no more. Idk I think it would be a really good live adaptation.
I would be amazed if they brought back Helstrom, but they should, that was good world building, I really liked that one season!
Question ? What about the Savage Avengers? That might be a great comic team up for a movie or streaming TV featuring Wolverine, Vemon, Elekrea, Conan ,the Barbarian and I forget the other member, but and time shift, timeline is involved bringing past heroes into the present and multi-versions of other anti-heroes appearaning because of a crisis effecting time, reality, and the multi-verse.
First R film in the MCU? Has to be a Wolverine film. I am 48 years old, and I still remember discovering Wolverine in the third grade. Well, maybe Deadpool will best this to the punch, but I would argue that a R rated Wolverine film will set a positive tone for our beloved comic book movies, maybe even win over haters like Scorsese and Tarantino, and keep this genre going for decades. I even believe it should be titled "Wolverine 001", and have a titled card in the theme of a comic book numbering system.

I'd definitely love to see a movie or series adaptation of Marvels and Marvel Ruins. Ruins especially would make a wild R rated/TV-MA movie/show.
I would love to see anything from the Marvel MAX imprint introduced it was pretty much strictly for adults they had some awesome stories.

I would absolutely LOVE a well done ghost rider and you can't do one well without it being rated r. I think ghost rider has the most potential out of any other characters.
I love the Deadpool movies, I own them. I recently seen the first two Blade movies, I prefer the original. Maybe Moon Knight will get his own movie or another miniseries.
