Turk is the Netflix Marvel meme
BobbyG17 so true
Haha yeah classic Turk
In the comics he's always getting punched and snitching
I bet this baby will not jam remember from Daredevil
true! 😹😂 but i'm callung him the gun seller in all NEYFLIX'S MARVEL series. 😂😁
Kinda disappointed with the lack of damage on Billy's face
To be honest this was my favourite of the Netflix series followed closely by daredevil
I still think that Jessica Jones has been the best so far.
Hope Kane eh, not really
Agreed, I was addicted to the Punisher from start to finish. It was awesome.
Yeah it was fantastic. Second fave closely behind Daredevil for me.
monzx3
I pray that's a joke.. lol
Wow, Stan Lee actually had a cameo, I thought why would he not appear...
In The Defenders shows Stan cameos as a cop but here he's a marine.
Was I the only one who realized billy Russo is a member of the goddamn assassin brotherhood
Not A Mimic he has an Assassin Wrist Blade type thingy from Assassins creed
Thank god I thought I was the only one that nerded out when I seen that
Zaber Ansary * a hidden blade lmao
I thought that the whole way through.
he went rogue, deflected to the templars.
I didnt notice when Billy was reading Dorian Gray, but it´s the first thing I though when Punisher forced him to watch himself in the broken mirror. It was like Dorian Gray portrait.
Revujo Or maybe because Ben Barnes played Dorian Gray
Llewen Garcia
I was not aware of that before this video. I knew him from WestWorld
I didn't even know Stan Lee was even shown in the Punisher
Was he?
I LOVED WATCHING PUISHER. It was probably my favorite out of the all the Marvel Netflix Series
I loved the puisher too
Who’s puisher? PUNISHER
Me too!! Jon did an amazing job portraying Frank ✨✨
So if Billy Russo made a reference to Full Metal Jacket... Doesn't that mean Private Pyle is actually Wilson Fisk?
Yes! :D
Lmao
I rest my case...!
I'd love to hear Fisks weird speech patterns and autistic yelling of the line, "I AM IN A WORLD OF SHIT"
ooh shit....
Other comic book reference missed:
When Frank and Micro steal the guns from the NSA and Frank scares off two NSA agents with a flamethrower, shooting out the back of the truck/van that the guns were in, that's a recreation of a scene in the graphic novel Welcome Back Frank where Frank toasts a bunch of mobster wiseguys...with a flamethrower standing in the back of a van.
Aaron David Kapner recreation or just a tested highly effective combat strategy?
Nobody ever talks about Billy’s assasins creed hidden blade disappointment
Jules.C how disappointing
Jules.C I thought I was the only one who notice that
Yea wtf was that
Cause it wasn't an Easter egg. Those weapons do exist outside of that bloody game.
J-Roc yeah, but the games solidified the weapon as a pop culture icon
Punisher's Beard was a Reference to the War Zone Comics.
Seriously who else thought punisher was the best marvel series
An easter egg i remember is when one of the workers in episode one mentions that frank likes his hammer, which is the same line tony said about thor after cap asked him to put it down
"Hope we get a 2nd season..." With those ratings it's pretty much guaranteed!
Stefanie Vickers nah, I want another the defernders with the punisher and spiderman in it
Tell that to the Firefly fans...
Erwin Smith spiderman will probably never be in any of the shows. The best we can hope for is a daredevil cameo in a spiderman movie, and even that's super unlikely
2nd season confirmed by Netflix
Speaking of ratings, what's up with rotten tomatoes and metacritic giving very low ratings for the punisher!?
IMO punisher season 1 was as good as Daredevil if not better (as is accurately reflected in the IMDb ratings)
But does the media have a hidden agenda? I read a LOT of articles that feel like hit pieces against punisher going so far as to say Jon's acting was very 'unidirectional' and that they are glorifying gun violence. Don't they get that it is fiction!? Also Jon's acting is amazing IMO.
MSM, what's up!!?
A Luke Cage Reference missed : when Frank is talking to Micro’s son, his son has on a Wu Tang shirt which is the group that was heavily used during Luke Cage season 1
Suprim Allah oh I thought it was from luke cage season 2...
Donné Visser. Luke Cage only has one season.
unique caleb he was being a smartass
hows that a easter egg or reference
*luke
Who would pay money just to watch Punisher vs Red Hood or Winter Soldier?
Gamer-ish [TMT] $500.00
+shannon skits I would if they were able to work out the rights.
How many rounds would floyd go with Conor in MMA?
We waiting on screw attack to do it...
Be my guest:

The Bullet Mustang was a green 68 fastback. The Mustangs in Punisher were a blue 69 Coupe/notch back and a red 2015-2017 S550. Not quite the same.
Fordman7575 its a 1970 fastback in punisher
either way not the same
I personally feel that the ending tied punisher’s story up too well. The punisher seemed too satisfied, he has no continuing motivation, or so it seems.
Nate Dawes
I think that's because Russo will return as jigsaw.
I think it works since it sets up an opposite for punisher, Frank who always wants revenge has found peace at the cost of Russo who'll likely want revenge thus making him a parallel to punisher
I know this is a 4 year old comment but I have just finished s1 lmao. So whatI wnated to say is that I think that they made it so it could just end there and the story is done, but if it did well they could make a s2 with billy as jigsaw
0:24 the best pun I've ever heard in my life
double whammy
Turk is Hydra Bob of the MCU
Reference to 2004 Thomas Jane Punisher in Finale episode: "Was the body bag necessary?" Micro says this to Madani echoing the opening scene in the movie where Frank fakes being shot.
Frank was actually shot in that movie.
One of my favourite series on Netflix loved it!
Tied with DDS1 for the best series so far.
I would have to say daredevil season 2 is my favorite than punisher.
Stan Lee was also on the bus stop advertising in an episode can't remember which one
Definitely Punisher.. I remember calling it out when I saw it.
Hey Mando
I loved the punisher
Been waiting for this 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Line that Crossbones says to Captain America in Captain America: Civil War
Whenever I heard someone say, "Agent Orange", I thought of Larfleeze. Yes, I know Larfleeze is a DC character. I just never heard of the Agent Orange from Marvel before watching this video.
This guy is definitely my favourite Narrator on this channel! wish he did more vids!! I love the other guys too, just love this guy a bit more some how haha great content as always
I loved the book picks for Frank and Billy, thanks for pointing them out. Perfect choices for those characters.
I loved it!!
The fight scene with C. Thomas Howell is almost the same choreographing, beat for beat, as the death of The Comedian in The Watchmen.
pony boy aged like cheese
It the first episode hammer fight scene there is a song called "hell broke luce" by tom waits playing. This song is about a marine who killed himself due to allegations of war crimes.
I kind of remember seeing the words Kitchen Irish in the first or second episode, which was the name of one of the Punisher Max storylines
Micro looks like Kenny Omega
Bang!
I’m glad someone else noticed.
Also a Stardust crossover with Russo and Murdock's characters playing respectively the younger and older versions of the same character (and then there's in movie Janet van Dyne playing the antagonist in that, MCU actors all play opposite each other at one point or another).
Been waiting for this video
Micro says a line “Was the body bag really necessary!?” When he faked his death in front of his family.
I’m almost certain that Thomas Janes’ punisher has that same line when Frank fakes his own death infront of the Mafia. He comes out of the body bag and says “was the body bag really necessary?”
Madoni drives a 1970 Mustang GT, not a 1968 Bullitt like Steve McQueen... very different cars.
Chris Mohr Actually it's a 1969, not a 1970. There are 4 headlights instead of 2.
There's no such thing as a 70 gt grande mustang. That car had a trunk with no fastback it's a Grande the absolute cheapest mustang of that body style
Yesss been waiting for this!!! The series really was great
When Russo is trying to contact Frank over the radio, he uses Frank's callsign "Raven". That's John Rambo's callsign in First Blood. Then Frank goes up into the woods to meet with his friend who shoots him with the bow and the two take on an armed team in the woods using improvised traps and tactics like in "First Blood".
I wish we would've seen what happened to the minigun at the end of daredevil season2
Why are you the best channel on RUclips? Like seriously your channel is amazing!
BEEN WAITING FOR THIS VID
Very good video! Keep doing this MCU stuff!
SAM!! Good to see ya!
Been waiting for this
Donné Visser I see that with the icon
Love your enthusiasm
SAMMMM!!!! Great review!!
Great details :)
I’m thinking there were nods to Dolph’s take on Punisher, but I’d have to go back and compare.
The knife play could go into that and the Thomas Jane one, depending on the exact methods. Sounds more like DD S2 when he survives the boat explosion with Marine - ninja skill.
I think Punisher's violence was toned down for the series, because if he was the comic version (or even the movie ones) he would definitely had killed that Latino boy in the first episode instead of saving him, he was a criminal anyway.
Turk is the one above all
The actor who plays Louis dad is in Ironman 1 and 2
I just rewatched the punisher season 1, now that Disney owns it. It's still sooo good. It's actually better, the second time.
A Marvel Series without a Stan Lee cameo is like an Oscar without Jack Nicholson and his thick black shades.
"Pun" isher?! I love it.
Damn, that was one sneaky Stan Lee cameo. Also, I noticed that Black Widow VHS tape and Dorian Gray book on my first viewing, it was so awesome to notice those.
I am so glad they confirmed season 2. Can't wait.
It's been bugging me because i've seen no one talking about it but doesn't Micro look sooooo much like Gene Wilder!??
Sable (1990), Death Wish 1-5, Cliffhangers (1976-77 TV series), Hero & The Terror, The Brave One, The Razors Edge, Taxi Driver, Rolling Thunder, & The Zero Boys (1987) are even closer at hand of one against the storm.
There was an epic fight scene as there always is on the 3rd episode of every Marvel Netflix series
Just now watching episode 06 of the first season I found a waning moon drawn in the lower right corner of the scene at 20:58. Is there any relationship with Moon Knight? :O
Battle vans are awesome
Omfg how have I not watched this yet?!?!?!
6:44 Wait what? Accidentally ... nice one ;)
Rambo talk on the radio to get Franks attention was cool.
ily sam
I think u missed when frank comes out of the van with a flamethrower, this is also from welcome back frank
Very cool, very cool.
I need another season !!!
I'm from future and I've watched punisher season 2 ........and that was great
One episode when madani is talking to Billy she asks about his scars and how he has none on his face, foreshadowing?
Can’t wait for the season 3
Corridor figth -tribute to few other marvel shows starting from Daredevil seazon one
awesome job Sam!
Here is one. When Billy promises not to kill Curtis "now" and then tells him that his words mean something. My guess is that he will kill him later.
I thought it's cool to have Lewis' last name as Wilson, Deadpool's last name Wade Wilson. Wilson and Castle, Deadpool vs. The Punisher.
YAY ITS SAM
That Micro mystery was solved and I couldn't be happier with the answer.
1:26 Castiglione is an Italian and Jewish Surname deriving from Lation "Small Castle". In Italian, Castle is Castello (similar)
It was fantastic
i just wish every episode was like episode 10.
Petrino episode 11, 12 and 13 were amazing too
The Stan Lee cameo is also on a Marine Corps recruitment poster, the same branch Frank served in.
They mention dirty laundry towards the end of the season, a reference to Thomas jane
Just finished s1🔥🔥
@1:18 glad to know the punisher has italian blood!
Have you guys not done season 2?!
I thought Micro getting "shot" by Homeland Security and waking up in a body bag could be a reference to the 2005 Punisher when Frank gets "shot" by the FBI and wakes up in a body bag
DO MARVEL RUNAWAYS PLEASE!!!
No shitting on Iron Fist for no reason! We're getting better again.
For real now: great video, guys.
Do season 2!
can you guys do agents of shield
Did not know sam was here, now im here
Can someone explain that "Anne Margaret" joke? I've never seen FMJ in its entirety..
Thnx!
I thought the one about lewis and taxi driver was going to be timothy mcveigh instead bickle
“Accidentally”
Just finished it and boy oh boy BILLY’S FACE GOT FUCKED UP.
There's also the reference to Assassin's Creed. Billy Russo has a hidden blade, just like the one in the game
It always bothers me that no one ever mentions the huge parallels between Frank Castle: The Punisher, and Mack Bolan: The Executioner. Mack Bolan first appeared in War Against the Mafia in 1969. It is a HUGE series of books that are really good. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mack_Bolan
