- Kentucky would face Baylor to earn the right for a second consecutive trip to the Final Four. Kentucky led by 20 points at the half and never looked back. After this win they would go to National Semi-finals in New Orleans where they would face their instate rivals the Louisville Cardinals for the second time this season.
When we won this, i felt joy for the team, but i felt more joy for Miller. He went through all the Gillispie nonsense, lost in the final four, and finally got his championship :)
This about made me seasick
Nah, Baylor was pretty good, they matched up with Kentucky very well when it comes to Physicality. But in the end, it was the coach's superstition about their uniforms and their lack of confidence against us that killed them.
You get to face us again this coming season. How do you think it will go?
I remember at one point they came back from a commercial break during this game and one of the announcers said "And now back to Kentucky STOMPING Baylor," and I just lmfao. It was hilarious XD
It was truly a pleasure to play Baylor, as they are a very classy team from what I saw of them. Too excited for their invitation to Rupp Arena this coming 12'-13' College Basketball season!
Kentucky won the chip through DEFENSE. The Kentucky teams by cal aren't that defensive minded as this team

Although dominant, it was the offense that won it. Our offense was more efficient than our defense.

no i beg to differ he pushed bumped him and knocked him out of bounds and that is what the refs saw and called it that way.

the 2012 team was good Jody doubt but the 96 UK team was soooooo deep. they had like 9-10 McDonald AA on the team and lost twice to UMass and Miss State, both was final four teams that year. 96 has the edge. I think a 10 game serious would go 96 winning 6.

I give this team the edge as well. When I say that most fans act like I am crazy but I think the 12 team would win. That 96 team was great. But this UK team could beat you in every way possible. They could go slow and grind you or out run you and I think if the 96 team pressed that this UK team would eat them up. Then if we slowed down there offense, with our amazing defense, we could DEF win. It would be a great game do doubt.

More so than Indiana in the Sweet Sixteen, more so than Louisville in the Final Four, and more so than Kansas in the National Title game, I feared Kentucky having to play Baylor here in the Elite Eight because I felt like they were the one team in the tournament that could potentially give Kentucky problems athletically speaking. It sort of surprised me the manner in which Kentucky ended up dismantling and disheartening Baylor in this game, because the final score was much closer than the game ever was at any point throughout.
@GreenDay1981 Honestly I think well do a lot better with perry jones off the team. Everyone thinks Scott drew is the problem and he sucks at coaching, but our 2010 team was outstanding. I don't know if we will win, especially since it is their, but I think we will give contend with y'all at least.

Everbody was saying that baylor was going to beat kentucky but baylor wasn't even that good. the only good team they beat was kansas once but they lost to them in the regular season twice. MOOSE

not at all, he still would have made 2 free throws, and kentucky would probably still beat baylor same way

If you watch Quincy Miller you will see why he might not go the first round in the draft. LAZY DEFENSE; stands around and can't stay in front of his man.
There was a reason Cal backed off of miller despite miller being a consensus top 5 talent and huge Kentucky lean for a long time. It wasn’t just because we signed Davis either. Miller had some issues between the ears.
