Since coming to Kentucky John Calipari is 6-1 against Rick Pitino. Only loss was at Louisville and 2 of the 6 wins was in the NCAA tournament. I am so glad I was born a Kentucky Wildcat fan!!!!!!!!!!!!
This loss to Coach Cal had to have stung like a bitch for Pitino because nearly all of the "so-called experts" were picking U of L to beat Kentucky in this game. Many of them were picking U of L to win comfortably. Well done Cats!!
I honestly can't pick my favorite UK game of that tournament. Wich St, UofL, Michigan, Wisconsin games were breathtaking but with UofL being the bitter rival, I guess I have to go with this one.
It still angers me that this team didn't get the championship. Thy were better than UConn neither team played great in the championship, UConn just got all the breaks with severe help from the refs. But looking back at this win can make me happy.
UK played lie crap in the title game. I don't believe in blaming the refs, and as a UK fan, I use that belief for us as well. UK still could have won the 2014 title even if the refs were biased. They got the game down to a single point at one time late in the 2nd half. That tells me that even if the refs were biased against Uk, we still had our chances. It just wasn't our year man. Don't blame it on the refs. It makes you look salty.
+Arther Palmer All the breaks? UConn wasn't even in the bonus until the final minute. And the better team sure missed a lot of free throws, wouldn't you say?
Taylor Holmstrom Yeah, free throws have made Kentucky lose several tournament games. This game is kind of old, I don't remember specific calls, but if I posted this I know they were there.
Arther Palmer Explain Kentucky's 13-24 free throw shooting versus UConn's 10-10, then. And are you actually insisting other UK tourney losses throughout the years have been because of rigged officiating? Let me guess, that's why Duke won in '92, ain't it?
+Taylor Holmstrom I support your argument. Totally agree with you about the 2014 title game. But using the 92 Duke-UK game is about the worst possible game you could pick to say that..... The guy that hit the winning shot absolutely should have been ejected... Would it have changed the outdone, idk. Maybe the ejection energizes Hill and Co. and they go on this huge run and put the game away. Who knows, but THAT game was about the worst possible pick of litter..
+Derrick Heron Uh no... Technically, they're not even with you.. 48,49,58,78,96,98,2012 isn't when Jesus was born... An isn't that the entire point of sports, be as good as you can for as long as you can. History is never irrelevant in sports....
+Derrick Heron By your logic Wisconsin should have 3 by now if it wasn't for Kentucky and Duke..... Louisville should have 4 and 5 now if it wasn't for Kentucky and MSU... See how pointless that is? Such a stupid comment.. Any team that's ever made the tournament has at least 1 loss..... 😂

Man...what a good team Kentucky...hats off!
Excellent job editing these highlights. Loved it!
Great Highlights. You should do it for every game during this tourney!

Best part about this video was Russ Smith trying to drive one last time and totally failing on a dunk attempt at the buzzer to end his career hahaha
Well I was thinking that anyone who read this would assume I meant his COLLEGE career. No need for name calling my friend.
One of the best wins ever against Loserville
1:45 poythress tells chris jones to get the fuck off
Ahh, most satisfying win all year.
Ahron Darnell um lame how? Loserville is our rival and we sent them home if thats lame then.... Then fuck u
Ahron Darnell jk but that win is not lame
If you stuck around Lex long enough you'd love it too Ahron, even Joel is a fan now. Quit stirring pots
He's been all busy with family life type stuff. I think it overwhelmed him more than most. I'll ask him whats up..
Rick Pitino, "I got this one." John Calipari, "Think I'll stamp that notion DENIED"!!
I miss Coach Cal everyday now.. 😢

The whit st game was more of a war I feel like
If only we won this game. I truly believed this team was going to win a championship. Unfortunately Cal was Rick's cryptonight.
That game is UK miracle
Jeez, Louisville was flopping in this game too.
What a dunk by Dakari Jonson

uoflcardskd
Statement not directed at Russ personally.
It's for blind UofL fans.
mack potter Ha, yeah Russ was actually a pretty likable guy.

Jim Marcum dont hate cuz julia randle got crammed on by russdunkulous twice
Man this years team could have used dakari Johnson
+Jim Marcum Yeah, but he was what we lacked on the inside; toughness
UConn then Wisconsin......poor kitties
Daniel they got titles when Jesus was born technically their even wit us wit 1

+UKLove524 1951 too
+UKLove524 look u shudda had 10 titles now if it wasn't 4 UConn & Wisconsin

Louisville should’ve won this game I was so pissed
loserville haha
We weren't "loserville"2 UConn oops!
cause you never made it that far..
+Brandon Hitcoln u didn't win it all
@@brandonhitcoln2814they probably would’ve beaten UConn if they made it there. They already had beaten UConn 3 times that year
