I had a leak at the safety valve so I tightened it one turn and the male part broke off inside the T joint. Can I remove the T joint from the steam boiler or is it glued in? I tried starting to remove it and it seemed very hard. Thanks for the videos, very helpful!
For me - faulty AV valve did not provide enough power for steam wand and also when I closed steam wand operating valve, you could hear/see hissing sounds from wand for ~20+ seconds. For safety valve - I don't fully understand, but machine was very loud when water hit boiling temperature (100C+) and higher. After changing it, it's very quiet again. 🙂 We have Elizabeth V3
I have problem, the anti vacuum valve broke off when the former owner tried to screw it out. So, the bottom half of the valve is still screwed in the boiler. Also, it looks like glue was used to seal it. How do I get the rest of the screw out? Or should I cut a new thread?
@lelitinsider2977 yeah, I guess I'd have to cut a new thread but I don't have the tools for that and I've never done that before. So, I'll give it to a professional repair shop. But it's still fun to analyze the problem :) Thanks alot for your help
Thank you very much for this video . It's just what I needed . The safety valve in my PL92T is showing corrosion and I wanted to replace it
Same for me. Thanks for video and support help Lelit folks! ;-)

Why do you have to change this safety valve and anti vacuum valve? what was the problem?
some customers have had to change the safety valve and the anti-vacuum valve

I am changing my antivac valve but I only have a normal teflon tape at home, PTFE Thread Seal Tape. Will this be suitable for this purpose and temp?
If steam is leaking back into water tank is it the safety valve?
Hi, did you solve the problem? I'm asking because I have thesame situation
That would be steam from the safety valve, as the anti vacuum valve tube goes to the drip tray.
