Thanks for answering, how did it handle in the end, I am planning on doing the same thing, but tought it would be better to make the bracket so that both holes where pointing the same «way» like this: 0-0 and not turned 90 degrees like this 0--( hard to explain)
It feels and handles great! But you have to take notice of the fact that I am running different wheels, good tyres and a 48mm FJR frontfork plus R1 rearshock... That all helps aswell... ;) My previous project ran way less.
Kenneth San Juan That's why I go to the workshop and not my own garage... One of the topics I mention a lot: 'make choices in what tools and machines to invest in and what to outsource...'
Yes, we will make a heatshield when I can ride it. When alle the covers, tank etc is on I can put it in the workshop and decide how this should look and where it should be positioned. But for sure there will be a shield. Thanks!
Paul Mcclune From the scrapyard. Random out of a box with these latch things... I think it's from a racer. They always have the hump which you can switch from Seat to plastic cover.
Did you have to do any modification to get the R1 rear shock to go in? or did it just bolt in? I just pickedup an XV750, and looking to swap out my rear shock.
i need a help with a similar model if you cand i have some electrical issues and the carbs are broken if you can give me a link with more details .thanx
Hi Chief Pep! Amazing work! You mention that you use 1inch pipe. I am wondering, do you mean in fact 1inch tube? The reason is that 1inch pipe is actually around 33mm OD whereas 1inch tube is 25mm OD. I am interested to know because I like the size of your frame and would like to follow for my own upcoming one! Cheers.
Yes offcourse! But please use the link and adress I gave in description. I understood the shipping costs kind could ruin the price though... But it depends. Try it! Info@rvsrezelman.nl for all the info.
I Can see that you also came up with the idea of making the Seat Quick release with no visible bolts :) Here is how mine came out. Used a Suzuki gsxr pillion Seat lock mechanism, . That idea came from my gsxr street bike, so i borrow the mechanism and fabricated the frame mount for it Check the vid ruclips.net/video/xCpNCorgRPw/видео.html
I See, yes! We still have to mount this mechanism. Can't remember where this lock came from. I got this from the scrapyard. And it will have bolts I think. Think we will mount it this week. Your solution looks great!
really dislike that subframe top mount- llooks goo but the way the bolt goes in just doesnt sit rght with me! much prefer one at each side firmlly anchoring the subframe to the top rails!
It's all really sturdy, tight and strong. Don't worry. Sorry you don't like it or it doesn't feel right... I think it's a matter of taste and if you were there during the process you'll probably find out it's all good.
Kaspar I was waiting for a comment like thi! You are probably right. Strange thing is, in Europe our rules are not so strict as for instance America. And welding like this doesn’t really hurt but to say it's safe, no not really. Thanks for the comment!
thanks for the videos! i´m from brazil and have a virago 750, your serie was very helpful!
Amazing job

Love to build my own. But I need those kinds of machines.
Kenneth San Juan That's why I go to the workshop and not my own garage... One of the topics I mention a lot: 'make choices in what tools and machines to invest in and what to outsource...'
Chiefpep also I notice bout the design of your exhaust pipe design. Aren't you afraid of gettin burn on your right leg?
Yes, we will make a heatshield when I can ride it. When alle the covers, tank etc is on I can put it in the workshop and decide how this should look and where it should be positioned. But for sure there will be a shield. Thanks!
Where can I buy those subframe connection points, the ones you made at 7:00 of the video????
You can send Rezelman an E-mail. See the adres in the description.
I hope to have a shop like this after i win the lotto 💪🦵
Beautifull work !!, can you please tell me what metal you used? is it aluminum?
No steel
Stainless steel to be precise
if youre welding a seat pan to the subframe aswell, why not mount it underneath to allow space for wiring etc?
I am not welding a seatpan to the subframe? And we used maximum space for all the wires etc. See my later wiring video's
hello pep, please tell me which is the distance between the rear wheel and the tail, the height in cm. thanks
Sorry, what do you mean? From tyre to the tail?
Could I order that connection piece that you made at 4:52? It would be great to reuse the bolt I already have.
These pieces can be ordered straight at Rezelman. See the contactdetails in the description!
nice work,.. ben benieuwt naar het eind resultaat,.. subt ya,..
Super
@cheifpep what height are you? Just wondering if that’s not to cramping for your legs? Thanks.
1,87 meters
@@chiefpepdesign perfect. same as me..
Hi, what fuel tank did you use on this build?
I kind of forgot... I believe it was a XS 750 or 850
@@chiefpepdesign thanks. What ever happened to the virago do you still have it?
Hey buddy where did you get the seat the remote seat latch from?
Paul Mcclune From the scrapyard. Random out of a box with these latch things... I think it's from a racer. They always have the hump which you can switch from Seat to plastic cover.
Hi
Did you have to change regulator or something else to use a antigravity battery on the Virago?Nice bike👌Are you still ride it?
No the normal R/R will work. Yes I rode it the other day. But most of the time it's just a museum piece ;)
Did you have to do any modification to get the R1 rear shock to go in? or did it just bolt in? I just pickedup an XV750, and looking to swap out my rear shock.
Vlad Shapochnikov Hi Vlad. A question I get a lot. O will mention this topic in my next video. Will be the Q&A video. Coming this Sunday! Ok?
i need a help with a similar model if you cand i have some electrical issues and the carbs are broken
if you can give me a link with more details .thanx
Stefan Vladulescu of both topics I have detailed video's. Just scroll through my video library.
Chiefpep yes i Find the wiring after i write the question. Thanx MAN. Tomorow i make wiring. 😎🤟🏻
How much did it cost? And where can I find a workshop like this ?
That's in the description below the video...

Tim Robinson Hi Tim. Yeah sorry I mean only the outside diameter.
What size are those rear tire?
Hi Tibur. It's 150/70 R17
I'm surprised to see so much cut work being done with an angle grinder as apposed to a band-saw.
Jeff Chartier we use both. Just what comes.
i know im 3 years late. do you sell this subframe ?
Yes offcourse! But please use the link and adress I gave in description. I understood the shipping costs kind could ruin the price though... But it depends. Try it! Info@rvsrezelman.nl for all the info.
Where are you from
He's from the Netherlands.
👏👏👏👏
Hey im saif from pakistan im also a bike bilder i want work with you in your countrey is it posible
Hafsa Qaiser Hi. I don't have a business in bike building... This is just a hobby. Good luck!
Ok thank you
Is any kind of job is like this in your countrey ?
Hafsa Qaiser You would have to search real close... I think in the USA you have more chance.
@@chiefpepdesign ok
will that actually be road legal ? :-/
I don't know... But it's more of a show model which will see the boulevard ones in a while...
