This is a song about Mother Earth, and how sooner or later, sick of the way we humans treat her, she will go into self protection mode and extinct (take back) the human race like was done in the Atlantean days

If you listen closely From 3 min. 12 sec. to around 3 min. 25 sec the nursery rhyme "Ring a Ring o' Roses" the ladies sing.

How poignant this song is from 1994 and the state of our earth now 30 years later. Saw them twice on this tour ❤
I feel like little to no recognition has been given to the masterminds behind the light show of this tour. This is hands down the best light show that ever blessed a concert stage. Syd Barrett would be proud of it.

I am so thankful that I grew up and lived in the era where real musicians played their instruments, created amazing music, and put on spectacular stage shows. There will never be another Pink Floyd, Rush, Yes, Genesis, ELP, and many others. Kids these days are truly being cheated, being sold rubbish while being told it’s art, but those who’ve been there know the difference.

I can’t help it! Pink Floyd is like a fine wine that just keeps getting better with age. I mean in 1994 they’d been a band for almost 30yrs and put out Division Bell which was another amazing album.
I saw that tour....30 years ago at RFK Stadium. Had never experienced anything like it, and I never will again. Not in this lifetime, anyway.
The intro and breakdown on this record is just sublime.
Right? I can’t get over it, I have to come back from time to time just to see that intro.

Just saw Floyd Nation yesterday Oct 22, 2023 and omg best Pink Floyd tribute band I've ever seen and they played this song.
I seen this show in Aims Iowa.1994 This was a living, Marvil. There were 3 stages touring the states simultaneously. 3 days to set up for each stage. 49 simis of equipment for each stage. Gilmour wanted to take the Hollywood Bowl on tour. SO HE DID. There will never be anything close to this light show and this setup. Gilmour is a self-taught guitar player Genous PINK FLOYD IS THE BEST BAND EVER Hands Down.

When I was kid, one of my cousin’s I looked up to was a huge Floyd fan. To this day, she and Floyd are still timeless. Even to the point where they both still leave me speechless from time to time. Thank you HD for the flashback, again.

I first saw this back in 95 when the BBC screened it, I hadn't heard the album but when I saw the light show for " take it back" followed by "coming back to life" one of my Gilmore favourites I was blown away!!!
I first saw a clip of "take it back" at a Bang & Olufsen store in Mexico City in '96 (I was 13), but it was muted. It took me months to found out it was the Pulse concert; I then bought the VHS which I could watch over and over. I've been to lots of concerts, but none of them have been at the level of Pulse. I wish I was older and had the chance to experience this concert live.

Worked in Top 40 radio at the time Division Bell was released and did my best to promote this and other singles from the album. Got to see them in New Orleans for this tour. An utterly amazing experience and have the LaserDisc to enjoy but really wish they would remaster it in either BluRay or 4K - name your price! :)
