Nothing is going to happen.. you will probably affect the longevity of the components if you run them like that for a long time, but they will not instantly break... CPU and GPU will throttle down in a struggle to decrease the temperature, if they can't and the temp keeps increasing, when it hits the temp threshold the PC will just crash, that's it... no fire burst, no meltdowns... nothing. Modern PC components have thermal protection built in.
I wonder how a laptop would handle no cooling, my rtx 4060 laptop which has a zen 4 ryzen 5 cpu hits around 88 degrees on the 4060 in furmark while drawing 130 watts and my cpu can go upto 100 degrees in a stress test with the fans at max speed so I don't want to know what no cooling would be like on it 😂
