I love the Reverend Al Green. It was my first concert. at Cleveland convention center. I must’ve been about 16 years old. My mother allowed me to go to the concert by myself. My brother took me there and pick me up .I followed Al Green from that day to this one. May God continue to bless you Al on your continued journey and know that you’re loved by many. And I am one.
PS you autograph a $10 bill with your signature and I have held that $10 bill . Throughout the years and
still got it. Thanks for your autograph. Hope to see you in Huntsville at the camp. Safe travels. Love you always AJ. 😊

So happy to see Mr Green, still out there touring. Love him so, He’s a legend. His music is timeless, brings back so many memories. I would love to see him if he ever comes to DC. Hope he takes care of himself.
I love Al Green...They need someone to help back him out when he forgets words or is too tired like Brian Wilson had help in his concerts. Doesn't make him any less of an entertainer but helps with dignity....He's 77y/o Hope when I'm 77 I can do what he's doing. I love Al Green!!

Sho ya right BUT I think it's time for him to hang it up..my opinion tho.
@@TurboMan51been touring on his life and I heard that he had like a little cancer scare at one point he blew up and weight
Also keep in mind the musicians and the background singers have something to do with the performance and it's just like any other day that you you go to work some days you just perform better than others
@@christhedemocrat..True dat. 👍🏼

Form is temporary, class is permanent 👏
Bless up Icon
Merci pour ce magnifique partage ❤
Reverend AL Green is definitely an iconic legend vocally. At 77, one can surmise that he seems to be struggling vocally. I think Green should had a better microphone 🎤 and perhaps sat in a seat to sing. Good to see and hear the Reverend AL Green. He has gain significant weight, and I conjecture he has health challenges. However- the background singers and instrumentalists are phenomenal!
Yes he's really struggling and you're right BUT the sound man is doing a bad job mixing the instruments mikes included
Oh yeah! "I'm Still in Love With You" LOVE THAT SONG
Love AL!!!
YES!!!!
Finally Got Mr. Al Green A Chair. Love You Mr. Al Green!!! May GOD Continue To Bless You And Your Health...Amen!!!
THANKS FOR SHARING THIS... IT'S MADE MY NIGHT!!!
✝️🙏🏾💜😘💚

I love all of Al Green Songs a True Legend God Has His Hands On Rev Al Green all his Songs Are About Love Thank You Al Green losing my sister Rosalie your songs helped me Survived
77 Yr. Old That a Blessing 😊🙏🏿👋🏿💋❤️🥰
Truly is love and a blessing. I'm happy 😊 l came across this con ert.
That right Rev Al Green all your songs are about Love Jesus Is Love
This is great! Mr. Green doing it at 77! I wish he did the song he had out a couple of years ago. "Before The Next Teardrop Falls"
Wow would have loved to have been there!
I feel like the songs are sped up too much he sounds damn good though
A lot of singers speed up the tempo of their "old" songs to breathe new life into the songs. Recording a song when you're young, is different singing it when you're in your 70's....but he still has his classic voice!
@@donaldallen1768 I prefer for everything to be exactly like the original when I go to a live show but I get your point.
@@ohheybih I do also, I want it to sound just just like the recording on the 8track, Cassette and CD.
They're on a timer. It's sped up to fit in more songs as possible. Sounds absolutely weird, but that's why it's done.
Amen Rev Al
All right now keep up the good work off God is good all the time ❤Teretha Detroit 😊
I lived in a small town growing up and when my second oldest brother came home from Technical school he had this radio that am/fm music. At night he’d tune it WOKJ AM out of Jackson, Mississippi and one night I heard the song ‘ Back up this train, turn it right around, I got to see my baby. At the end of the song Deejay said that’s Al Green and then he say, Thats’s a WOKJ instants replay and play it again. And then when in high school my friend bought the cassette Let’s stay together ‘ man that was a hit. A lot times a group of walk around we’d go by the Ole 666 Club and hear the music from the juke box all the hits .. and some of the ole jute joints where they gamble, played pool, and sold bootleg whiskey. On the box was some Al Green, Bobby blue Bland, and BB King and many more.. and then I just hear MY Girl ‘ wow! We gonna let you go but ya’ll know a place like that in your town where black folks dressed up on the weekend after a hard week at work. The gentleman wore their suits and the ladies in their hats and fine wear.. what a time back there when folks got to together .. LB September 1, 2023 🤼Boomer Sooner 12:33am
How lucky you are ❤❤❤
This is so emotional for me as a male. I remember clearly like yesterday when i left England and went to Jamaica as a little boy to be raised by my grandparents and it was Al Green who dominated the jukebox. 10 Jamaican cents in the 70s for four music selection and all four were often Al Green. Brother can sing. Still has it. He knows how to tease and flirt with the audience using his vocals. Those were the days. Legend.
AL GREEN .............

Al Green is the best his vocal cords are great he must take care of himself living for the Lord I wish he would come to NJ or near
I love Al Green, but I’m going to agree with some on this platform that it is time for him and Frankie to give the reign to the young and creative and take a rest from the their illustrious careers. Their songs will always have a place in my heart. They are cemented their by time, by love and now have been passed down to my four children. Their music never dies.
If I WOULD HAVE SEEN HIM IN CHURCH I WOULDN'T HAVE KNOWN HIM ..WEIGHT GAIN .AND OLD AGE GETS US ALL AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER.IT HAPPENED TO ME TO ..BUT I LOST WEIGHT..BUT TIME GOES ON..AMEN
My Granddaughter Favorite Singer SHE.s 29 I'm 69
I'm surprised He didn't come with those Red Hotpants n Pouch he wore on Soul Train!🤔💯💖🎊🎉
Cincinnati Was Too Laid Back. Didn't Show Mr. Al Green Enough L-O-V-E.
😘💚
Rev. Green, was holding church!
He's still the best
At his age,he can still do it.their will never be another Al green.but it time for us to get a youngful soul singer to come and take the reign to give Al green and Frankie Beverly a break. They have been this a long time.
Al Green..Frankie Beverly and Ron Isley need to drop da mikes..retirement is long overdue.👍🏼💯😎
Deixem ele fazer o que ele gosta cantar para o povo. Cuidem para na idade dele vocês estarem assim!!
Not Many great artist left Thank you AI Keep it going! Great band of musicians
😅😮❤
no respect didn't help him take off his jacket and didn't even pick it up rude people.
These people have no respect for icons, everyone’s in they’re own space, smh.Whoever the stage help is should be fired.
😢
He still sounds good at 77, but age is catching up with him; looks like at times he had a hard time standing up? Someone should have been there to help him with his jacket etc.
…. and seating too. He is a living icon and should be treated as such.
I Was Thinking The Same. He'd Hope Someone Would Help Him...But, Most Folks Just Want To Get Paid -Eh. I've Loved Al Green Since I Was 15 Y.O. I Always Had A Mature Soul. May GOD Continue To Bless Mr. Al Green And His Health...Amen!!! Love Me Some Al Green...YESSIRREE!!!
THANKS SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS!!! YOU'VE MADE MY NIGHT!!!
✝️🙏🏾💜😘💚
Is Linda Jones still Al's backup singer?
Wow!!! Why didn't the stage hand help the man with his jacket,no respect specially cause he's an legend. And this goes to show you the stage hand has no respect for performer's.They better be glad that had the experience to see and hear Al live....God bless him and he still sounds great..

Background singers a no no. Al Green is to great a singer to have them. I believe that is why he kept looking at them. He was not satisfied.
Seventeen years ago, Reverend Al Green performed in Cincinnati in front of a rain-soaked audience. Nevertheless, the show went on. His background singers were on point. I believe that at the time, he had a couple of his daughters singing with him.
Incredible band, and thank god Al got it together towards the end of concert, but first time I've ever seen the band more in control than al. A little sad.
Thanks for posting this. I still get chills like when I first heard his songs in the 70s for the first time even though I've listened to his songs thousands of times over the years. Such a gifted singer!
charged that Green beat her and shoved her through a glass door in his Memphis office after a dispute about how much back pay she was entitled to for her duties.[46] The civil suit was dropped because of "conflicting testimony", but in 1975 they settled a $100,000 lawsuit for assault and battery charges.[36][47]
In 1977, Green and his former organ player Larry Robinson were arrested for assault on Memorial Day in Irving, Texas. According to Robinson, Green and his bodyguards jumped him when he confronted Green about owed money from previous gigs. They both posted bond on a misdemeanor charge.[48]
In 1978, Green was charged with assault and battery for allegedly beating Lovie Smith unconscious with a tree limb. The charges were dismissed after Smith, who had moved, did not receive a subpoena and therefore missed the court date.[49]
Having fun. Not the place for your BS
