My go-to Lawn Fertilizer | Scotts Green Max with 5% Iron.
this fertilizer has iron in it which helps green up the lawn but will also stain concrete. It’s important to make sure all of it is off the pavement.
FYI, the new formula does not stain :)
Taught my daughter at a young age how to care for and respect a nice lawn. Now, whenever she visits she always comments on the condition the lawns in.
Great lawn. Would you recommend this fertilizer over miloganite?
Sure. And Milo stinks!
Looks at that sprinkler coverage, nice! Was that a neighbor chatting it up while you were working?😄
Thanks Koven, lol.. yup neighbor and a good friend.
I could have done without the annoying music
Looks great! I'm a sucker for green!
Thanks 👍🏼
Lol looks to me like a certain little girl wanted to get her daddy wet! Beautiful lawn!! And that's one clever irrigation system, hats off to you sir 👍🥇😀
Thanks Rob. Yup she got me but wasn’t caught on film 😁 I keep getting comments about the sprinkler system, is it really that bad or good? 🤔😁
@@ShortCutLawn hehe got love kids with a hosepipe in hand lol by what I can see the irrigation system looks brilliant!! Am very envious 👍👍👍👍
Amazing
What is the first piece of equipment you’re using called?
It’s a reel mower.
Good looking lawn! I may have to try that Scott's Max fertilizer, good results. My tall fescue looks great from early spring until summer, then I start my getting disease, brown patch, so I'm going to try some Scott's disease-x this by year early summer. Can the Scott's Max fert be used in the summer also, or should I avoid summer apps ? Thanks
Here in my part of California, it gets pretty hot in the summer. Do you think this product will cause my lawn to burn during the summer months? I know the bag says use every 6-8 weeks, but I’m not sure they take into account the region and its climate.
Used that product many times , works great !!! Lawn turned out just like I thought it would ..... PERFECT, GREAT JOB!
Thanks 👍🏼 I always get an even growth and color with this thing.
@@ShortCutLawn How many times do you apply it?
Did you water before fertilizing? Also, how long do you wait to water after fertilizing, thanks
Same day, I water immediately after application 👍🏼
And how often to you continue to water the fertilizer? I just spread mine last night and watered it this morning and afternoon. How should o continue to proceed and for how long?
Beautiful.
Start them Early.
Thanks for Sharing.
The stains from iron are not permanent as many people say online. There are even videos by the lawn gonna showing how to clean it off the sidewalk...he used toilet bowl cleaner I think
Might be a dumb question but what setting did you have your Wizz on?
Not at all.
3 1/2 👍🏼
10 4
What setting did you use on the spreader? 3 1/4? 4?
I believe it was 3 1/2
Looks so great!
I've used this product, greens lawn in a few days. Great fertilizer with iron.
Do you have any videos of the installation of watering/irrigation System?
Nice ...... just applied this Scott’s product last night ...... I’ll give it a few days and hopefully will have some desired results .....
You should, cooler temps might slow down results though. 👍🏼
Whoa! Tiny lawn. But nice
Try ironite in granulas
I did a side by side comparison and Ironite takes a lot longer to show its effect, and when it did, color was uneven.
what type of lawn mower is that??
Hey. What is the spraying nozzle that your daughter is using? It sprays pretty efficiently
Just an old Orbit nozzle.
Does the percentage of nitrogen change based on the region you live in?
Is that tall fescue
What type of grass is it?
Kentucky Bluegrass
Please tell me what your mower is!! PS gorgeous lawn!!
Thanks! It’s called Edwin 2.0 by Swardman
Cool
Looking very good!!
How often would you apply, Once a month?
I think it every 6 to 8 weeks.
How should I use it if I don't have that machine
There’s a walk-behind and a manual hand spreader.
Awesome sprinkler system covers everything.
I think he missed one little section there in the corner...
Nice job....it's offtopic, but I noticed you have a new 7 week lawn and I need an advice....how to irrigate new lawns? Mine is 8 weeks old approx (from seeding) and it seems that 2 deep waterrings per week it' just not enough, as it's drought around here....I' ve started to water daily abot 15 minutes in early morning and things look much better...how do you advise to do it? ( I have an inground irrigation system like yours...Many thanks! Julian-from Romania
Hi Julian, 2 deep waterings/week is really not gonna work for new lawns. since new grass have shorter roots, water is already out of reach after a day or two. At this stage watering every day is better. I don’t do 15mns watering also, my advice is to do 2 light waterings 5mns in the morning and 3-5mns in the afternoon. After that, you can experiment with every other day just increase your run time by 2mns and see how your lawn responds. Make sure you put down some preventative application of fungicide to protect your new lawn from fungus. You can then resume with infrequent deep waterings when your lawn matures and fully stablished.
Many thanks...
