AJ's voice has a breathy, rasp that makes her so unique. I love it.
Angelina introduces that thickness in the voice that sounds like when you are ready to cry and the mucous membranes swell at the back of the throat and nose. So Angelinas sounds more emotional to me. When you know her back catalogue you know that's a choice.
Angelina was so quick to do this cover that I still think it says something she wants to say too.

You need to check out the best vocal expert analyzer I have ever heard when
he compared Adele and Angelina in this song. His name is Andreas Grussl and
his video is titled 'Is This Better Than Adele?'. Each section is dissected by him
and in addition to him 'personally' preferring Angelina's rendition, one thing that
blew my mind. He reveals how Angelina actually 'out belts' Adele in the power
sections of the song and it is felt that singers don't achieve full lung capacity
until they reach their early to mid 20's.

I am an Adele fan for many years. Adele's voice is shrill/tinny where Angelina's voice is warm, rich and more soul full than Adele.
Adele is one of the best and has a technically perfect voice in this great song.
But nobody can emit the emotion and soul of a song like Angelina. I think she reads the lyrics first before listening to the song. In this way she can understand the feeling and emotion the artist wants to convey. Then she arranges it to be able to dramatically convey the feeling and emotion to us. She takes iconic songs and makes them Angelina songs.
Her vocals, tones and smokiness do the rest.
She is already The Greatest of All Time! Just amazing!!
You can't really fault Adele, she's Adele, and she wrote a ton of amazing songs. I'm just sad she practically retired early and her musical output really dropped off. There could be a ton more amazing songs for Angelina Own. haha :)
Adele is an outstanding singer and one of my favorite artists. I would pay to see Adele. Angelina Jordan is on another level all together. I would travel out of country to see her perform. An intimate gathering of 200 souls or less would bring the expected premium I would be willing to pay. Cheers!

Angelina’s voice is warmer and far more resonant. And she’s only 15 here. Adele just doesn’t connect to the heartstrings the way Angelina’s does. At least for me anyway.

Angelina is a unique phenomenon whereas Adele is not only a great singer but also a supreme song writer. Like many great artists she draws on her own life experiences for inspiration. Angelina is amazing in that she can capture emotions in her singing despite being so young and with limited life experiences.

Angelina & Adele, like most true vocal artists, are best live. I agree with you & much prefer Angelina's live version over Adele's studio produced music video. But a few months after her 30 album was released, I saw a televised live concert by Adele where she sang this song & she absolutely "killed" it. Their live versions are different, but on the same level, IMO. So if you react to Adele songs in the future, I recommend her live performances.

Theres a mash up of AJ and Ella singing Everytime We Say Goodbye and its seemless. Two pitch perfect voices with feet standing in two millennia and reverberating across both for generations to come
I feel personally that there is much more emotion in Angelina's rendition when compared to Adele's rendition. It's really hard to explain with words but I just feel it that way. Angelina is also vocally more impressive singer in some parts of the song with her virtuous runs and riffs I think. Adele has a good voice and her singing is okay though. Adele is maybe more like a pure pop singer but Angelina has also other elements in her singing.

Adele has a beautiful voice, but I'm in love with Angelina, her voice, her life, her family and really, every thing about her. And I don't really understand the depth of these feelings, but I don't think I'm alone in that regard. May God protect this beautiful person from all the BS and nastiness that these current days seem to engender.

I think when you close your eyes it is hard to tell who is singing where in this mashup... Angelina and Adele sound each a bit different but, as you say, both voices are such a wonderful match.
Great reaction Mr. J ❣ I hadn't seen this mashup yet, so thank you for doing this reaction, & I can never get enough of AJ 🥰 On a side note......I suffer from very bad allergies, especially in the Spring & Fall, and in certain environments, and tried so many medications over the years, & I finally found one that actually works, called Singulair....take 1 a day before bed, & I wake up, with next to no swollen eyes, or raspy voice, and other allergic reactions....not sure where you live, but in Canada, it can be prescribed by your family physician....just wanted to share that with you, as a fellow allergy sufferer 😊

I know Angelina... who is Adele?
Adele's vocal is sped up slightly in this mashup, which completely ruins it for me. The two versions are actually taken at almost _exactly_ the same speed and in the same key, so you can play both simultaneously and have it match up pretty well through the whole song. But instead of just alternating between the two versions, the creator of this mashup decided to isolate Adele's vocal and lay it over Angelina's music (Rob Christie's piano) for her parts of this "virtual duet". OK, fair enough… but then he _sped up_ her vocal, so it no longer fits the tempo of the music! Madness! (I would have suggested this was done to prevent YT's Content ID system from flagging it as Adele's song, but that happened, anyway. So if that was the reason, it didn't work.)
