    I come back to this video every now and then as a quick refresher and it really is one of the better reindexing vids on RUclips! I'm doing a very mild lower on my 620 this weekend, just 2", and I might not bother with a reindex. That being said, since I have the old kingpin style front in, I have to add shims to the upper shackle because lowering add so much positive camber that it looks like a wobbly clown car when staring at it from the front......

    So to lower a truck, you do the opposite? Menaning driver side clockwise and passenger counterclockwise (re index the bars) thanks

    Dude thank you for making all these videos. No one gives love to the 720 and info is hard to find. Definitely an MVP. 😮‍💨🤌🏻

    Yoo you just saved me some money. I got to bend back my torsion anchors. I was able to do one side but the other still kinda bent.

    If I only adjust the torsion bars followed it a small amount will I have to do this? I have 3” blocks in the back with nitro drop shocks and I just want the front to match

      Yes you can lower it as little or as much as you want

    Super useful. I was planning on doing this to mine when I drop it. Wasn't sure on the process. Just waiting to order some damn tires for my new wheels then I'm dropping it.

    Was there a trick to getting the snap rings back into place? Did you just tap them into place with the opening facing upwards?

    • @STONEBROKEGARAGE
      @STONEBROKEGARAGE  Год назад +2

      I just tapped them with a hammer and clicked right on

    Similar process for a Toyota pickup ?

      @STONEBROKEGARAGE  Год назад +1

      Yes very similar for older Toyota’s. Some came with coil springs which is a completely different setup

      Working in my 95 pathy and my 92 hb suspension. This guy's old Nissan looks dope!

      The guy I recently bought the Pathfinder from, slammed it to the stops.. that's what I'm fixing right now. Lol the kid put in like 80lbs of wiring for 4 underglow lights, and 2 amps 🤣 I literally removed all of it, set the light wires and amp wires in 2 piles, made 2 new piles of all that was needed (from his wires) and sent him a pic saying "this is everything u n ur bros installed for lights n sound. The small pile of wire, next to the one full of rca adapters, is going to be CUT to length" lmao then I sent him a video of everything working (untucked, with slack 😂). Kid put spacers on the hubs, titan tires (still has the big ass off road tire on the carrier), a weird horn lol.. I respect the kid for having fun with his ol' toy... But IMO, I just bought a K'NEX kit from a Lego guy 🥳🤣. I didn't haggle him at all. Bought if for what he asked... I did ridiculous things to my hb when I was young too lol.

    Can reindexing stiffen the ride?

    • @STONEBROKEGARAGE
      @STONEBROKEGARAGE  Год назад +2

      Unfortunately no, the stiffness is controlled by the diameter of the torsion bar itself.

      But technically reindexing can at least get someone your preload is so it's not quite as sloppy
