The Snap Dragon 7+ Gen2 has become 2023's version of the 870. It outperforms the 8 Gen 1 in almost every scenario and only falls short (2%) in Antutu. Crazy how the 7 Gen chip is already outperforming last years 8 Gen.

    • @vaultboy1419

Because it literally is the 8 gen 1, just built by TSMC and not Samsung. And it is slightly underclocked, imagine the performance if it wasn't changed.

That's because of how piece of shit 8 gen 1 was, even SD 855 outperformed it. Also 7 gen 2 is just the renamed version of 8 plus gen 1 from last year. I would choose SD870 or dimensity 8100 over these anyway.

Poco f5 is a big serious upgrade, it got better camera, way more powerful chipset, and audio jack (awesome). For the display i think qhd is too overkill for a phone, plus it would also drain your battery faster. So i think f5 would be best choice for most people. It's also more beautiful and cheaper too

So was going to part exchange my s22 ultra for one. I had part exchange mu oneplus 7t Pro last year and bought the handset outright. Had a really good price when it was released last February. But when F5 came out I was comparing not to my s22 ultra.. but to what I was getting with say s22 plus or s23 plus. And when you put the F5 up against them it comes out really well.. I know build carmera..and so on... But I had the F5 for £339 pounds... and you compare that to s22 plus or 23 plus.. Don't forget UK models of S22 all had the exynos chip which was shit. The POCO F5 with side finger print scanner.. which I just love head phone jack and an IR blast.. Come on what a phone spec... And that is why my S22 ultra is going back in its box and I will probably sell it...
