In this episode, I share with you my thoughts on this epic V6 Swapped Toyota MR2 (SW20)
The MR2 is Toyota’s first take on creating an exotic vehicle. What started off as a mere trial to see if the formula could work, would eventually lead to a legendary line of mid-engined JDM sports cars. The SW20 combined the quintessential aspects of a driver’s car with cutting edge design and unmatched reliability. With the addition of the 3L V6 Motor at the heart, the performance is amplified even more so. It is truly a forced to be reckoned with.

REX H's MR2 is probably the best v6 swapped mr2 on youtube the amount of love and effort and work put into that car really shows
You clearly haven't heard of Apex attack
Agreed, definitely not the best V6 MR2 on RUclips. Anything with a 2GR is 10x better. To give an example of a few better ones: Wilhelm Raceworks, Apex Attack, Frankenstein Motorworks, my MR2😂, and All Things Fast.
I’ve had the pleasure of going passenger in this Mr2, it’s a lot of fun and it has such a low centre of gravity, Awesome car 👌

The MR2 has always been a Mythical Legend. She sounds and looks so good! And can easily wipe the floor with so many makes and models. It's so light and potent to the ops on the strip 💪🏾🇯🇵

That 3L came out with 141kw and 279nm imagine the latest 3.5L with 224kw and 362nm that would be mental.
There are kits for the 2GR-FE swaps, it is a motor with massive potential, 2:1 rod stroke ratio standard for starters.
So the 2gr can fit in the sw20 engine bay? Must be costly btw
@@stevefu1357 it is a simple swap if you really understand cars, the E153 gearbox bolts straight up to the 2GR, most people say the hard part is the stock ECU... So obviously ditch it for an aftermarket version. There is a guy on YT with a 400hp n/a 2GRMR2 obviously a built motor.

I daily mine these days, fits the weekly shop no worries. I'm definitely keen to sweep a 2GR instead of the stock motor.
Having owned an NA MX5 as well, I gotta say the Mazda has the better shifter. But the mr2 looks, sounds and just is WAY cooler.

Rex H has his own videos on the install. It is a 3VZ, predecessor to the 1MZ. Also there is a version of the 3VZ that makes 13xKW at the engine, that car makes now where near that to the wheels.
It's a 3vz, but any V6 transforms the SW20 anyway.
