@@bryanryder7196 you are correct. He only ran at Oregon for one year. His time at this race would be 3rd fastest American born 3k ever but he was disqualified and the race didn’t count. Luckily he had a stellar senior season or else he likely wouldn’t have gotten the notoriety he deserved
@@jazzyjay4595 I was always very confused when I would look this race up on TFFRS and saw DNF next to his name especially after watching this video a couple times that’s crazy.
From 0:45 to 1:20 the commentator gives a full description the way Kithuka likes to run, his strategy, his accomplishments, but never actually says his name lol. How can we expect people to become interested in this sport when the announcers make 0 sense most of the time??
ESPN track announcer been saying “drowning in oxygen” since 2013 lol
Seth Babbel hahah I was gonna say the same thing
Hes been saying that since the 80s
Really glad they are posting these old races
Never knew Eric Jenkins ran at a college that wasn’t Oregon
Eric Lukan I think he transferred right after this season

@@jazzyjay4595 Two years. One year in cross.
I wanna see that Ches Lalang duel in the 1500 outdoors that 5k was epic too I saw that was posted recently!
If you could post some of the 2012 Ncaa outdoor 5000m or 1000m that would be awesome!
I still think it’s ridiculous that Jenkins got DQd. Definitely didn’t affect Erassa’s last lap.
yeah that is BS should not have been DQD
i mean he definitely yanked the guy backwards lmao
He grabbed his singlet.
Are you blind? It clearly stifled Erassa’s momentum.
Eric Jenkins was DQ'd wow
