Paralympics (and especially sitting volleyball) are a great way to raise awareness about ambulatory wheelchair users, and the fact that a disabled body can have many ways of mobility moving around.
Those people have tremendous heart as a person in a wheelchair I really respect these people. Before my disability I still admired and watched Paralympics religiously
these individuals are..............volleyball players who happen to be exceptionally challenged ( forget the word disabled--it is pejorative. Most able bodied individuals could not do what i just witnessed!!!!!!!!!!! Again---an incredible testrament to what is RIGHT with human beings!!!!!!
I don't find 'disabled' any less pejorative than the strangely enunciated "exceptionally challenged". To me, "exceptionally challenged" is not much of a euphemism in itself (it's 8 syllables that put a huge amount of emphasis on the labeling word "challenged"). Not only does such an expression sound unnatural and forced, by ear it come's across to me as "exceptionally disparaging". "Disabled" is by modern English usage, politically correct and is certainly not "pejorative" by the most widely accepted of standards (in government published documents, healthcare manuals and such). You may think it sounds pejorative. But, that doesn't mean it definitively IS pejorative. Neither you nor me decides such a thing. It is society at large, the large opinion of the masses particularly within regulated influential bodies. Perhaps you might want to re-evaluate with more objective consideration.
Assisti umas três partidas de voleibol sentado nos Jogos do Rio de Janeiro, e passei para meus alunos trabalhando assim sobre a inclusão nos esportes, foi muito bom!!! Todos amaram!

I know someone on that team because they coach a club volleyball and I know her well she’s awesome and she inspires me to keep trying!!!
What is the size of the ball?
Never been one for sports but Paralympics is far more interesting each athletic must over come and complete things in a slightly different variation.
Yes, these people have to work so much harder to perform their specific Skill.❤
I LOOOOOOVE the Paralympics!

If sitting volleyball was available to everyone (not just disabled) at international level, I would consider playing the sport at competition level.
