Dangerous dual carriageway overtake among illegal driving caught on camera

A lorry cutting across white lines to overtake near Landrake, a driver jumping a red light, and a driver overtaking on the wrong side of a dual carriageway and narrowly avoiding hitting oncoming traffic have all been recorded by a scheme by Devon and Cornwall Police.
In August, Op Snap recorded its highest level of submissions ever as the police received 747 videos from the public. Of them, 418 (56 per cent) were the subject of action by police, including 246 Notices of Intended Prosecution (NOIP) and 172 warnings or words of advice. A third of August’s Op Snap submissions (244) were from cyclists, with 147 (60 per cent) of these being the subject of action from police.
