Lance I see why you love both astrophotography and rock hounding. In a word - color. And I thank the Good Lord there are people like Joe in our Country.
Hey Douglas! Yes, there is a lot of color in both deep space objects and rocks. Not surprisingly as they are made of the same stuff. Crazy to think about! And I so agree with you: I too am very grateful there are people like Joe in our country. I wish you and yours a very happy new year! 🎈
Despite going to the wrong place, it was good to hang out with you and Stan. You should bring that chunk of fluorite to my shop sometime and we will check it with all the different spectrums of UV light.
I live in Peoria az and I love watching both of you . Very educational . I’m an amateur who recently fire some reason developed and obsession with rocks right in the middle of my depression and if not for your videos I may have not kept doing this hobby . Thank you so much . I wish one day I can rock hound with you guys . I will drag the wife with for sure . 👍
I’m so glad you found this hobby as I’ve found getting outdoors is one of the best things for depression, stress, or struggling in general. I’m so glad our videos have helped keep you going. Maybe we could organize a group rockhounding activity sometime. That would be fun!
I agree! There are still good, brave people wondering around. The news media could and should highlight these type more. Thanks for watching and commenting!
What a great video! Your rockhounding turned into finding a real hero! Thanks for sharing his account of bravery. His "museum" especially his rock display case really was jaw dropping. That large crystal looks sort of like a Herkimer. The fluorite samples are so beautiful. Thanks again Lance and Happy New Year.
Lance another great video. Seems like even when you don’t find what you’re looking for you always make it entertaining and that segment with Joe was awesome. What a great guy I was wondering if he gave you The coordinates to where the fluorite is at. Thanks again and keep them coming
Thanks Reed! Yes, Joe gave us the correct coordinates and we plan to go again. Given the time of year, it might not be until Spring though. It’s always good to hear from you! Thanks for watching and commenting. 😎🐶
Thanks Colleen. Jared and Sarah recently moved to Utah. It’s nice to have them closer. They are a wealth of knowledge as well as being wonderful people. Always appreciate your comments! Happy New Year!
We are going back to the claim site (the correct site!) to gather more. It might not be until spring, depending upon the weather. But hopefully more to come! Thanks for watching and commenting!
Thank You Lance. It's always good to see Sarah and Jarrod.
I agree! They are awesome. Thanks for watching and commenting! 😎🐶🤪
Very interesting. Loved the old museum with all the wild artifacts and old treasures. Thanks for highlighting the heroes rescue. 👊
Thanks Curt!
