The 300KW was directional beam array, sending clear channel up the coast of California, Oregon, Washington State, Canada, and beyond! Wolf Man can be heard anywhere. I get his shows over 940KHz Fresno, California on Friday and Saturday nights. He is in a class all by itself. A real show.
This novelty song by GUESS WHO always makes me think about the band DR HOOK. I guess it has that kind of vibe. It sounds like something they might have sung.
Wolfman Jack was the best DJ in America when he hosted The Midnight Special on WNBC TV in the mid 1970s. I loved his concerts by the best Rock n Roll bands in America.
