  • The abandoned Patco Lawn and Mower Service on the Ramtown section of Howell Township has been abandoned for many years. The buildings are soon to be demolished and homes will be built. This may be the last time anyone will be able to tour the property.

Lots of memories there, thanks for sharing! The Southern rock band “Southern Cross” had one of the shops and used to jam there. Also home to many race teams that raced at Wall Stadium and New Egypt Speedway. The guy that ran the lawnmower shop was nice, “Pat”. He always had the part you needed or could get it fast. He always helped us kids keep our mini bikes running. They sold wreaths at Christmas time, my friends and I would buy them from Pat and put them on our trucks. At night the grass out front had thousands of night crawlers we would gather up for fishing. I spent many hours there in my youth, very sad it’s gone.
    🙁

Went here today, they must be tearing it down soon because all of the trees and brush have been cleared. The house on the property is abandoned as well with most of the belongings still there. Kinda sad actually :(

Pumpkaboooo I grew up in Ramtown and my family used to know the family who lived in house and owned the original John Deere dealship there as well as the Ratners who owned all the white chicken coops across the street. Went to school across the street at Ramtown elementary. Thanks for posting.

Wow. Lots of different items left behind. That's awesome that there are so many new-old stock parts just sitting there. Would have been cool to see what that place was like back in the day. You say it was a former John Deere dealer at one time?

What a disgrace that nothing was salvaged...I know plenty of collectors who would have paid big money for those NOS Deere, Briggs, and Tecumseh parts and memorabilia.

I need fresh eBay inventory. :)
Meh. Who am I kidding. My garage could qualify for a "Hoarder" episode.
Still mighty tempting, though. While I don't know EXACTLY where this is, I'm not that far away.
