Stephen Kinzer ─ Poisoner in Chief: Sidney Gottlieb and the CIA Search for Mind Control

  • The visionary chemist Sidney Gottlieb was the CIA’s master magician and gentlehearted torturer-the agency’s “poisoner in chief.” As head of the MK-ULTRA mind control project, he directed brutal experiments at secret prisons on three continents. He made pills, powders, and potions that could kill or maim without a trace-including some intended for Fidel Castro and other foreign leaders. He paid prostitutes to lure clients to CIA-run bordellos, where they were secretly dosed with mind-altering drugs. His experiments spread LSD across the United States, making him a hidden godfather of the 1960s counterculture. For years he was the chief supplier of spy tools used by CIA officers around the world.
Stephen Kinzer, author of groundbreaking books about U.S. clandestine operations, draws on new documentary research and original interviews to bring to life one of the most powerful unknown Americans of the twentieth century. Gottlieb’s reckless experiments on “expendable” human subjects destroyed many lives, yet he considered himself deeply spiritual. He lived in a remote cabin without running water, meditated, and rose before dawn to milk his goats.
During his twenty-two years at the CIA, Gottlieb worked in the deepest secrecy. Only since his death has it become possible to piece together his astonishing career at the intersection of extreme science and covert action. Poisoner in Chief reveals him as a clandestine conjurer on an epic scale.

He isn't looking beyond the book's subject. Today, we've moved forward into mastering the human domain (as we mastered the other domains, 6 in total).
      earth
      sea
      air
      cyber
      outer space
cognitive (new i.e. the way we process information with our brain " the human mind is now being considered as a new domain of war. ")
There's also geospatial intelligence, which monitors people's thoughts and
a Selection process to torment and torture those who don't fit the cognitive mapping.
But no one can replace your mind, put in another mind instead, just yet. Though efforts are on the way. However, it is certain that people can be made to lose contact with Reality and become reliant on one authority. This, for sure.

I am a targeted individual, so I fully understand how they can condition your mind into doing things that are complete against your morale. I have no idea why I'm targeted, but I think a handful of psychopaths, (women who were obsessed with me on the Internet), decided to find a way to manipulate the FBI and CIA into targeting me. There ARE pro social psychopaths. Let me help educate you. Psychopathy is simply the new mutation, it’s the progression of humanity from hind brain/reptilian brain (I mention this because of the conspiracies of reptilians might be a subconscious revelation). We know in science that frontal lobe brain development is the new development. Well, psychopaths are the new humans, where there is a literal severing of nerves from the limbic brain which contains the fight or flight systems of our primitive ancestors. We no longer need it. Like our tails, these hardware will stop being used. So there is a range or spectrum of psychopathy, on one end, the lack of anxiety from the hindbrain fuels curiosity in what can be done with that adaptation like the very rare occurrence of torture and murder. Much more common are people like Steve Jobs, and corporate America, using their lack of empathy to ride to the top of excellence and industry. Most psychopaths are pro social, we just don’t know they are new humans. They abhor child abuse not because they feel compassion, but because of high principles. Most of us are in between now, we feel less emotions that are base from fear, and more complex frontal lobe thought operations. We are evolving, we need to educate about it.

@Tijjy O Surely. I was at age five and it was a few months after Sid's appointment to be headman of MKUltra (I learned later in life's time).
It began a few weeks before when I took a misunderstandin of "God" based upon my mother's word about him, sayin that he does everything. I suffered from unbearable indigestion and asked her did "God" cause that? She had to say "yes". Then I stuck my tongue out at the sky, in the belief that that was where "God" was situated.
My rejection of "God" I believe had to be a pre-requisite for my bein unprotected against what I have seen clairvoyantly as "the reptilians". In most cases they are not goin to be as sadistic as Gottlieb was, though.
It seems reasonable to me that some coven involvin one of my dad's friends and possibly Gottlieb himself cast a spell of temptation against me in hopes that I would succumb to the temptation to turn against God. Without that, they would not have been able to proceed against me.
About 2 weeks before the torturin session, my parents or maybe the tv used the word "torture" and I asked of them what it meant. Shortly afterward a telepathic, unseen entity told to me that I would be tortured in two weeks. This did not bother me, but I took it as neutrally as if you would have said "there is a pebble by the side of the road".
I had been taken habitually to a good pediatric dentist on K street in Washinton, which was then (1953) a few blocks of mostly professional offices, but last I heard had become a neighborhood of corporate headquarters for purpose of lobbyin congress. A man lived in our neighborhood, whose family was close false friends with our family, a contact my Dad made through the local (DC) democratic party.
His name was Jack Lichtenberg, and he was a vice president of the Potomac Electric Power Company (PEPCO) which I years later saw to be dumpin gray water into the Potomac River upstream from Seneca Creek where a high rise buildin belonged to them among the farm fields. I am goin to submit this and continue in a new comment, so that you can get started readin it.

We knew then nothing about it, until decades afterward. My age was 5. I had been told that "God" caused my unbearable achings in stomach, so I turned against Him. That forfeited my protection.
A prominent small hatted democrat, who was one of the vps of the local power company, advised my dad to switch pediatric dentists. Sid was not a dentist but had a dental office with dental equipment. He pretended to be a dentist at that time, early in his leadership of MKUltra.
It is to be inferred that sid was already a trauma-based mental controlling programmer, and that his appointment was a way for him to get federal money for doing what he was already doing. He easily convinced my mother (who saw him as a superior) to forgo anaesthesia, then he drilled away a perfectly good tooth on the side of my mouth down to the gum's line, bit by bit, which was extremely painful.
Somehow I saw it as an ordeal that I "must" endure, though I told my mother that it hurted too much, yet some kind of innate pride made me to say it in a calm voice. She said, "just try to endure it".
Some weeks afterward, she realized that something had been wrong about the situation, and prayed to Jesus #1 of 2 for my being rescued. Because of that I then again had protection of "God", so was not further in the program.
I never heard of any body else having undergone the same thing. Sid deleted all of the files when the investigation started. I recognized him 30 years afterward living in the same town as my parents. Not at first, but after I found out who he was I remembered the club foot, the voice, the "russian" New York accent. I had time tonight during a road trip to listen to this speech well I understand he's trying to keep his audience's attention his entire manner throughout the explanation of the information he found is a little bit cavalier for me. Sydney Gottlieb may have been a goatherd and organic farmer who was a brilliant chemist, but his involvement in this project, MK Ultra, betrays his true character. I just simply cannot accept that he was doing a job. I do know a little bit about the Olsen incident and it was covered up. Layer upon layer of disinformation was handed to that family as they just tried to find out the truth. People that know me know I have little respect for the people involved in the national Security apparatus. I don't think I'll bother to read this book unless I found myself with a lot of time on my hands. It was a horrific episode, and I doubt seriously if it's ever stopped considering the history of those involved in its development. All the talk about patriotism, an a cold war mentality, don't carry any weight with me. It was a criminal conspiracy, organized and staffed by criminals, and a trail of death and destruction laid in its wake. I just simply can't accept that as a bunch of good old boys that got a little carried away. As sinister as Alan Dulles was, and as entitled as he felt to do whatever he cared to do, the development of this program was probably something he was proud of.

You figure not much longer, we were at war with France, the nation that bailed us out in the Revolutionary War. Either grand showmanship with an extremely elaborate play, or the result of infighting for power, but regardless, Freemasonry has it's finger prints on either side of that coin. And you're right, human nature for power and greed takes over, and those that could help spare the world, stay sold out for some pieces of silver and their souls. The real problems are the ones that believe whole heartedly that they are doing what is best for humanity, due to an arrogant and delusional view they are either "chosen by destiny" due to bloodline, or "wise and superior" due to many attained rights and degrees of this or that group.

Gottlieb lived close to Mount Pony in Culpeper. I've read that he did some work there. Now used as a film institute. Originally set up as a ''continuity of service'' site. Close is relative of course, but at one point he lived in Little Washington/Boston area. I have wondered if the lack of success he had with mind control was later improved by sexual ritual abuse SRA, where the mind is fractured, ie Cathy O'Brien and others. He was using drugs and some torture, but the later stuff on SRA is frightening. Maybe your NEXT book...

So far quite interesting how the author is presenting this as a “funny haha lsd trip magic mushroom trip” when people were legitimately hurt not knowing they were given lsd.

At the height of protest for Democratic revolution in Hong Kong a highly contagious virus is released that makes people unable to be within 6 ft of each other out of the fear of death, coincidentally originating from Wuhan where they do virus adaptation testing and gain of function research. China hates democracy. Period. Enlightened despotism is defined by the idea that the ends justify the means. CIA may have been involved in the revolt, but china was (most likely) responsible for the "solution".
