  • Mr. Beast and Mark Rober created charity #TeamSeas to clean up the oceans...but then just promoted Cirkul, which creates an unending cycle of unrecyclable plastic. Much of this will likely end up in the ocean. What...?
    Let's get Ahnest.

    As someone who donated $2000 to team seas because of Mr Beast I was suprised such a huge oversight could be made by their team.

    Now that was Ahnest and smart - Great Video. On a side note, I bought my Herman Miller Aeron chair almost 2 years ago now. And you would think that would be the end of my need for this type of content. But I just like the guy and his videos that I never unsubscribed and have no plan to. Keep it Ahnest!

    I bought the and tried the Cirkul last year, the metal bottle and not the plastic one. 10 days for the cartridge is generous. Once you open it, MAYBE 3-4 days max. It starts to smell and the taste changes even if you clean the water bottle, water feeds through the cartridge. To note: I am more particular to smells and taste of waters so I may be sensitive to it. Also, higher the intensity, less days the cartridge lasts. If also is a lot of plastic. I even tried taking the cartridge apart to recycle and it was a pain. I just threw it in the trash bc it has an aluminum sleeve flavor pack

    A very honest take on how people can be lured into doing things that they see is good for the environment and yet we see these Collab's with these monster companies paying to make things wrong. Thanks for sharing this honest take on this water bottle!

    Hello, as someone who uses Cirkul daily, I felt the need to talk about it a bit. (For one, I don't go for bat for any company, just saying some things about it.)
    Positives:
    For my entire life, (I am almost 25) I had drank soda, and barely any water. Probably only once every few months... With Cirkul, (specifically, the strawberry kiwi flavor, as it tastes like a fruity version of Dr Pepper,) I haven't had any soda in almost two years, and my body greatly thanks me for this fact.
    Negatives:
    Tons of waste, and the SIPs don't last a long time. You'll be lucky to have 3 days of a SIP still having flavor in it, with them mostly lasting two days (Which is why the them going bad in ten days doesn't matter). I've even had some only last a day before running out of flavor. (I don't put it on high flavor output, either.)
    Well, that is what I see as someone who uses this product. Does it make a lot of waste that cannot be recycled? Absolutely. But it does help me to be healthier, and, when your recycle bin is dumped in the same garbage truck as your standard garbage, all of which is sent to the same exact place, where nothing is separated, recycling doesn't really mean much. I mean, I truly wished it did, but corpo greed kinda ruined that pie for everyone, haha.

      This is great insight! I appreciate you sharing. I thought some of the flavors were OK (when dialed up to max, all of them left a coating on my tongue for the entire day even though I drank like 10 sips max). Some of the flavors were straight up awful!

    • @IllyasArt
      @IllyasArt Месяц назад +1

      @@Ahnestly Absolutely. The only good ones are fruit punch, and strawberry kiwi. Cirkul got a huge boost in profits, so hopefully, as the water flavoring market becomes more competitive and sought after, a better product will spring up.

    Regardless of your opinion on Mr Beast or the plastic waste issue, saying the water bottle is a "piece of shit" and the water tastes "fake as hell" is far and beyond a stretch. I've been using this product for over a year and have tried a ton of flavors and liked the majority of them.
    I respect the fact that you may not like the product or the flavors but saying that they taste fake is a bold statement.

      I was going to do more on the review side of the house, but decided to leave that part out.
      A couple points - the water bottles themselves are INCREDIBLY cheap. Probably no more than $.80 on Alibaba per bottle. Same goes with the aluminum ones (probably around $1ish on Alibaba). I did my own findings, and then consulted my sister, who actually bought these a while back. I just asked what she thought (did not share my thoughts to prevent bias), and her results aligned with mine - the flavor pods start tasting very odd after about 2-3 days (I typically used mine at lvl 3.5, so barely used the flavor pod). Some flavors are def better than others. However, to do a taste test, I cranked all the flavors I tested to the full 10 to do a taste test. I only drank a small amount at lvl 10, but it left a residual coating(?) on my tongue the entire day - probably the effect of using so much artificial sweetener since their flavors have 0 sugar. And then there's the fact that I mentioned - if you stop your "subscription", you're basically left with a useless cheap overpriced water bottle.
      That's my opinion based on my findings. As always, feel free to disregard!

    • @galaxyrunaway
      @galaxyrunaway 2 месяца назад +4

      @@Ahnestly All very good points you've made here. I will say that I typically drink my bottles at level 2 as I prefer the 'flavored water' taste rather than it not tasting like water at all. I tried lvl 10 when I first got it and came to the conclusion that it's there for aesthetics as it is just straight sweetener.
      I personally have never had any issues with the flavor tasting different after any amount of days. I agree that should you stop your subscription that while you technically end up with a useless bottle, you can always just leave a cartridge in at level 0 and drink regular water with it.
      Of course, there would be no point in doing so because as regular water bottles go there are far better options. I like the product for the convenience of not having to mix flavoring into my water every time I refill and the ability to change how strong the flavor is. I can definitely understand why that's not for everyone.

      @Ahnestly  2 месяца назад +4

      @galaxyrunaway I can def see that and im glad you found a use case for it!
      I’m coming from the perspective of someone who’s trying to really cut back on my sugar/sugar substitute intake and trying to keep my kids from getting addicted to it as well (except ice cream. Ice cream is healthy for you and anyone who tries to tell me otherwise is dead to me).
      Also, I can’t tell you enough how much I appreciate your mature approach in rebutting my take! Thank you!

  • @dragonproductions236

    "There's no way to stop that water" Even without buying a lid, a pair of pliers/wire cutters in the water inlets where the 'tampon' meets with the bottle and you have a cap without any flavoring. It's a bit dishonest because it's like saying water bottles with the 'nipple' end aren't refillable because you need to snap the tamper ring to unscrew them.

    • @Ahnestly
      @Ahnestly  2 месяца назад +1

      This is too smart for me to understand lol. Are you saying that you can modify the tampon thingy to allow water in through the tampon without pulling any of the flavoring? If so, the concern is still that you can't clean inside the tampon, which will most def build up mold and nasty gunk without washing.
      Apologies in advance if I misunderstood your point!

    • @dragonproductions236
      @dragonproductions236 2 месяца назад

      @@Ahnestly If you look at 0:43 ( and 1:02) You can see the holes where the cap connect to the tampon. What you do is get cutting implement of your choice in there and just snap the plastic between the holes and it should fall off. What you're left with is a plastic cap that threads into the lid. It's food grade plastic so it's brittle as hell and you can just snap the tampon off like it's nothing.
