Me, too. :-) Best wishes from Germany from a city in Germany that so remarkably looks like the Chattanooga area, that is the Rhine valley instead of the Tennessee River. If it were not for the buildings, you'd think you are in Bonn, actually.
I moved to Chattanooga three years ago, and I still feel amazed to live in such a wonderful place. This is a city I would be HAPPY to vacation in, and yet I live here. This video really captures it, and I’m sending it out to my friends now before they visit so they can decide what they want to see. There’s so much.

I met someone at Waffle House in Mississippi who told me to go to Ruby Falls when I got to TN. Glad I did. At the top of the tram and down a street there is the civil war park. The park service has a little movie to watch and it’s very well done. The signs throughout the park are very worthwhile to read. People today have no idea how tough and physically strong people were in those days. The soldiers had to fight on a vertical wall and then keep fighting to scale it. There is a heavy presence of the fallen men there. The story is demonic and tragic. The North won, but the cost in lives was heavy. May we never have another civil war in this nation.
