Jeff Daniels Credits 'Dumb And Dumber' For Giving Him A Bigger Name In Hollywood | Sunday TODAY
Good actor. He and Jim were perfect for Dumb and Dumber.
big gulps huh
The way he keeps a straight dead-pan face during D&D makes the movie.
I went to see dumb and dumber at the theater in Chicago when it 1st came out and there were people all over the theater kicking the chairs in front of them from laughing so hard no one expected it to be as funny as it was
Arachnaphobia was the first thing I saw him in. He's a good actor.
I love you Jeff Daniels! Dumb and Dumber has always been such an important part of my life; so to hear you say in multiple interviews - that it was your most highest profile role, really warms my heart. 🐶👱👨
I love Jeffy D, too!
Will always like a actor who chooses to remain down to earth over being a hollywood bigshot.
Mr. Daniels is a great actor. :)
It's funny that his yearbook picture hairstyle looks like lloyd Christmas' hair lol
He is very memorable in Fly Away Home: i love Daniels. He’s a humble actor.
I know hey. He was great then.
Terms of Endearment my fav!! He's awesome.
I've never heard anything but wonderful things about him. Weirdly, I knew a guy who absolutely hated him. Like to the point he wanted harm to befall him. His reason? He was terrible to Debra Winger in "Terms of Endearment."
I'm like, "You know that's a move and he was playing a character, right?" He wouldn't budge.
Nothing but respect for him
Wow how do you talk about Jeff Daniel's career and not mention his role in Gettysburg smh
One of his best roles.... Lawrence Chamberlain with the 20th Maine. One of the greatest movies made.
Jeff Daniels proved he can do all kinds of rolls and do them just as good as any actor ever put on a screen.
I love him in Speed
I love how he’s never been ashamed of Dumb and Dumber or complained about it.
Both these actors were equal in this fantastic, hilarious movie...love it!!!...
Im sorry but the bathroom scene in dumb and dumber might be the funniest scene in comedy history to me…the way jeff committed to that was perfect
Love this fellow Michigander
Jeff is just better at comedy then any of his other work.
Amazing!🎬🥇🎓
Jeff portraited: George Washington crossing the Delaware, Gettysburg hero on Little Round Top. Jeff can do it all. Chelsea, MI is a great small town. I love the pick your own fruit and vegetable farms in the area.
JEFF DANIEL’S ♥️♥️♥️♥️
That was such a great movie....
Great guy!
BOTH SHOULD HAVE SHARED AN OSCAR FOR BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR
We got no food, we got no jobs.... OUR PETS HEADS ARE FALLING OFF!!!!
Jeff, you are so pretty!
Love Jeff Daniels
Daniels doesnt give himself enough credit then, D&D wasnt one of my favorite movies but Jeff is def one of my favorite actors. Newsroom and The Martian, Speed...great roles
4:14 that is the actress playing Nina Howard in the Newsroom isn't it?
I can't believe they didn't mention "Something Wild"???? My God, Quentin Tarantino based Mia Wallace's hair on Melanie Griffith's character in that film. Not only was it a favorite of his, but also Paul Thomas Anderson (perhaps the biggest Jonathan Demme fan of all time lol) Not only that, but Martin Scorsesse saw Ray Liotta in Something Wild (he was the third lead) and his performance in that film impressed the director to cast him as Henry Hill in Goodfellas.
But more importantly, Something Wild was one of Jeff's best performances.
Mia Wallace hair by that movie? Really? Tarantino said that?
I love him as an actor and his answer about Allen was as good as he could be expected to answer it. Sometimes you need to to say yes I would work with him because I don’t believe the allegations or no there is too much controversy surrounding the man
I remember him more from Speed.
Nice ski's they yours?
/Yes
Cool, both of em?
he dont sound confident in himself, i'll wait by the phone from my agent to tell me that its all over/i'll wait til my career is over..i dont know if hes serious or joking but either way i can related to self doubt
It's not a lack of confidence, it's just typical midwestern self-deprecation. We midwesterners are really bad at displaying confidence because we don't wanna come off as pompous or full of it.
"Dumb and Dumber" gave him a platform as an intellectual
Forgot the cult movie Something wild
The only movies I ever saw him in was dand and arachnophobia.
he's a true actor. disappears into his roles
jeff daniels you are one lucky actor atleast it's the best thing about you. just as good as dumb and dumber ..ehh kinda sad the second one didn't go too well.
Jeff was funnier in dumb and dumber then Jim. I think he played the part better
Roxy Carmichael.
He's such a lefty though.
I have no problem with lefties. I am one... but... when ALL OF YOUR WORK is promoting a leftist point of view, I don't want to watch it.
I saw the scene that everyone loved from the first episode of the Newsroom... and then (because I loved that scene so much) I saw a few episodes and I realized... his character's arc all took place in that first scene. He got fed up... made a bold risky and most importantly AUTHENTIC move... and the risk paid off... and continued to pay off in the form of success and respect for the entirety of the show. Never again does he have any conflict with authenticity. Never again does he encounter inconvenient truths. Never again does he have his reputation called into question... he just... is... for the rest of the series... he is the voice of reason, and the voice of reason is and always has been a terrible character.
Dumb and Dumber is a cult movie.
Maybe listen to Jesse Ventura on 11 sep to hear the real truth
be nice if they reeeeeally told the truth about 9-11!
