Jeff Daniels' talent has always been underappreciated. The guy has been able to pull off comedy, satire, action, drama, and several other roles and no one really appreciates him enough to give him the awards he deserves. Maybe they should replace Woody Harrelson's roles with Jeff Daniels and give Woody the break he needs, heheh.

Terrific, thoughtful and insightful retrospective by Daniels, who is such an underrated actor. I wish he'd been able to talk about "Godless" or "The Looming Tower." My favorite thing about him is that he's such a good, technical actor that he seems able to switch his charisma on or off as needed, and it's kind of amazing. He's so good in so many films (I don't think he's ever given a bad performance), but oh man, when he's good, there's nobody better. Just a riveting, superb actor. (I wish he'd talked about "Speed" a little more -- and as more than just a "job." He's so good in it, and has moments in it that are so understated, powerful, and moving.)
