Bought one pre owned here in the states when I was looking for a GTI. Absolutely loved this car. Had no problems even as a pre owned. It was quick and unique and drove exceptionally.
i've owned my C30 for 10 years, from 2013 to 2023 I bought it used with 116 km, unfortunately a young man fell asleep and hit it in the back of my C30, it already had 449k km and like new
I owned my C30 for 6 years. Put 75000 miles on it and in all the time and miles, never skipped a beat. Fast, comfortable, reliable, looks great, well equipped, cheap to insure and tax, could get 700 miles on a full tank (1.6 D2 R-Design) I miss it and would buy another. Had to sell as my wife and I had a baby boy, now drive an xc70 which is great great fun too.
@@problemslayer3538 mine had a 1.6 diesel which the block and other bits were also used in fords, citroen and peugeot. People say it was a ford engine but that isn't true.
A 2009 C30 R design was the first car I bought back in 2016. I bought another with a manual transmission in 2018. Absolutely love the platform, especially after some modifications.
I bought a c30 2 years ago , it's a c30 R-design lux I searched for 2 years to find a low mileage one . The one eventually came along with 34,500 miles on it,sounds like I shouldn't have bothered going by the mileage on yours 😢😢
I own a pre facelift C30 D5 as my daily, and it is quite high mileage aswell with almost 500.000 kilometers.... But if someone told me it had 150.000 I would've believed it aswell. Very nice car, lovely 5 cilinder sounds and it drives quite good tbh. Lovely car to drive and decently quick, 180hp 400Nm standard, and I am planning on chiptuning. Then it should have 225hp and 490Nm, will make the car actually on the fast side
I love the car, 140,000 on the clock, beautiful amber colour paint that pops in direct sunlight.. the only issue for me… and it’s a biggy… is the turning circle, it’s woefully bad!. Edit: ohhh yeh and the handbrake being in the passenger door, turn the mrs on every time I stop 😂
I really wanted to love it back in the day for being a "different" car. But it just looks like a boy racer car... I loved the 240, had a 740, daily'd a 940 and drove a v70 mk II for a while... This c30 is not your typical volvo. But as I was looking for a small car I really wanted to love it.
I have some questions about the car if you don't mind. I have a C30 1.6D myself actually, and just upgraded to a D4 which is amazing. I'm guessing it is the "1.6D" and not the "D2" since he says it is a 5 speed gearbox. My 1.6D is remapped with a stage 1, and pushing 139 hp and 300nm of toque. These engines are derived from Peugeot, and the non-turbo version is 75 hp. Have you installed a bigger turbo? Because there is no way in any way that you have 170hp from a 1.6D on the stock turbo even with dpf delete and what else, unless your tuning company just lied to you about the numbers. As said, my BSR remap is 139hp and 300nm, this is pretty much as far as the stock turbo goes. Also, did you get a rear bumper from a 5-cyl car? Because the 1.6D of course only comes with one exhaust exit in the bumper. Nice to see someone else appreciating these amazing cars :)
@@Sam-fz9wf ah, ok, I guess it makes sense then. That's quite impressive, my new D4 has 177hp, so that's almost the same from a 1.6 4 cyl! (At least till I do a stage one on it.) Really loved my flame Orange 1.6D but it has consistently been problematic since I got it. By now I have had to change things like both front bearings, turbo, DPF, ac compressor and had some OBD II issues. Jumped on the opportunity to get a D4 with a real Volvo engine, 2.0l 5cyl turbo when I saw it for sale. There are only two registered D4s in all of Norway, and this one was even manual! Had to get it now when I got the opportunity. (R-design obviously, would never get a C30 without it)
