Got a G7 today, its got the latest update and settings menu looks completely different. I get the one that looks like settings for a TV. I've connected it to my PC though, not a console. Is that the reason? Its stuck on 120Hz too
Maybe change in Windows 240 hz or nvidia control panel

@@JuztSkilz There are multiple monitors sold under the name "G7". If yours has a different kind of menu, it's also probably flat, and IPS, and in fact 4k 144Hz. S28BG70 or the older S28AG70 (or their 32" versions), this here is C27G75T, a curved 1440p240Hz VA monitor.

@@h2o2k 8k cable, I bought my G7 on December '23 and connected directly to the wifi after unboxing for sw update, maybe for firmware update I need to follow a different procedure

@@h2o2k hdmi of course from my xbox, it's unusefull to spend money to convert and adapt hdmi to display port, even because I can't reach natively

There is a firmware update 1.009 I'm installing it now perhaps that's why you have a different menu

Yea, this settings are good for PS5, about HDR, i don't know, you need to try and see if works for you, personaly i'm not using HDR. :)

But other videos say turn on adaptive sync abd use gsync and vsync in pc windows settings for best pc performance including low latency and stable fps. Do you think this monitor is better without all that? Thanks for your quick response 👍

Hi. In the Profile & system menu, click on Settings. In Settings, click on General. Under General, click on the TV & display options setting. From here, select the Refresh rate options, and select 120Hz.

240hz is bad on this monitor. 120hz looks the best because it doesn't have scan line issues. However your other settings are good.

@@kingdrac144 maybe because you have adaptive sync setting on. Turn it off, it will let you change more setting.
This monitor also have flickering issue when adaptive sync is on.

On 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models with Apple silicon, you can select ProMotion for an adaptive refresh rate up to 120Hz.

@@h2o2k If you have an Iphone or a good phone, you can compare the image of some videos and photos (by disactivating the truetone first) to set the colors correctly. I find that a good white point is at 44-48-42

You have to make the refresh rate setting on your device to match the refresh rate on the display. Mine was grayed out (Windows 11) when I had the PC (Win 11) set to 2560x1440 144hz and the monitor to 240Hz. When I set the monitor to 144hz, low input lag was available. When I set the monitor to 240Hz it wasn't.
So when I set the monitor AND the PC to 240hz, Low Input Lag became available. Matching monitor and device refresh rate settings also impacts sharpness and font clarity.

Salut, je te remercie pour ces réglages, je passe un asus predator en écran qui date +6 ans à ce nouvel écran, la différence est frappante, j'ai pas l'habitude d'avoir des contraste aussi prononcés, c'est dommage qu'on puisse pas creuser le gamma davantage pour avoir des noirs pas trop "noirs" utile pour voir les détails dans le noir.
