Hi Meredith! Thanks for providing this amazing video, it answers a lot of questions I have for the MET program. I’m really convinced to choose it over my other admissions now

    1. Small cohort of like-minded peers (most, if not everyone, had big achievements in high school)
    2. Not that good of an attendance on social events
    3. Private MET socializing area (mainly for freshmen and sophmore)
    4. MET has some breath requirement removed to make the dual degree program more managable
    5. All MET freshmen and sophmores have priority registration
    6. Not a lot of room to take fun humanity classes (philosophy, psychology)
    7. Private Academic guidance (smaller cohort so easier to connect with advisors)
    8. Focused on Personal professional development
    - a lot of career recuiting and internship opportunities
    - special career fair
    - for COVID year, guarrenteed everyone who wants an internship position an internship
    9. Workshops are more tech focused rather than busniess focused
    10. Do you want to be the starter of the next big company? That is the main MET mindset.
Thank you for the information Meredith!

Yeah MET does everything far and beyond Ivies do, but its admit-rate is like 1%. It's not for everyone. It's for a few very, very special students.

Does Berkeley consider you for Berkeley first before the MET program? For example, one can get into Berkeley engineering but not get accepted for MET even though they applied for MET also.

Hey, I'm currently debating whether or not I should decide on UCB MET or UPenn M&T. Is there any significant preference you'd have over one or the other as both are dual degree programs that have very similar internship opportunities and networking/prestige?
