- Whats up guys in this video i try a world record sandbag attempt with jujimufu... just kidding but it's probably one of the heaviest and hardest sandbags on the planet! After I attempt it we cover some recovery tips for strength training in the hot tub! Enjoy!

I've worked out on traditional heavy bags ruclips.net/user/postUgkxp9-sf95nqfjey-uyzxUzQ7m9MXRPK1BE a spherical stuffed "wrecking ball" bag, and now this thing. What I like about it is that it has the heft to stay largely in place so I'm not chasing it around. It's tall enough to allow for headshots and body shots, but it's short enough to give an uppercut somewhere to land. I'm very happy so far. Filling it was a bit of a cluster. For top-offs, I've learned that you can screw the supplied nozzle onto any basic plastic water bottle. I can't speak to durability as I've only had it a week.

@@briangrose9847 I worked my up from 140 to 200 last year. Heavy isometric holds/squeezes for 10- 20 breaths, and light carries while dragging moderately heavy sleds worked well for me.
@@dojanglesclimb how's strength progress with sandbags ? Could you get a stronger deadlift and overall back just by doing bag work ?
@@dragos8839 my goals have changed so I haven't trained them in a while. Overall I felt my back was stronger. Helped my grip as well. I'm not sure there would be carryover to conventional barbell lifts. The only time my barbell deadlift increases is when I'm training it. The other way around is also true. For me, there wasn't much carryover either way.

Joe that was intense lifting heavy sand bags after heavy deadlifts, farmers walk, then 300 lb sand bag carry and 420 lb sandbag carry. Even with the workouts being different days that takes a lot of strength and endurance. It is very motivating!

Sauna after ice swimming produces a high of some sort especially after gym. I've done it after most of my workouts during the last two winters since I live next door to a public ice hole / sauna.

Pretty sure there were some studies that showed ice cold baths right after training actually had a negative effect towards growing your muscles.

What considerations should be made when choosing between picking up a sandbag vertically vs horizontally? intuitively vertical seems much easier except in cases where the bag gets too long.

i own 4 cerberus traditional type sandbags. just filled 1 with 200lbs. It kills me from top to bottom. very good bags. Nice one there szat and juji.. been following you, alan and brian for all sandbag stuffs. love from india !!
A few questions about the cerberus sandbags. Are the bags completely filled out like in this vid when they're at the advertised capacity ? Are they as good quality as the rogue ones ? Are they durable ? I wanna get one cause they look so cool lol and don't wanna pay for rogue ones
@@dragos8839 go for it!! and as per as the filling capacity : it's your choice . If u wanna get 200lb bag and start your training with 150lb sand inside it filled, its ok. Nothing's wrong with that. You can gradually increase the weight to the advertised requirement later on.
Also, durability is quite good. I do carry and loading . Its been 2 years now, not a tear till now. Rogue US to India shipment takes huge amount of customs and i cannot manage that . So cerberus is my only option .

When things heat up they expand and when things cool off they contract so hot cold contrast tubs have a pumping effect on your body lowering inflammation and increasing bloodflow they're really good in anecdotes AND science lol

6:11 - I'm no strongman- but when I teach my 70 yr old lady clients to lift our 70# MMA dummy, I show them Gable grip and S-grip... works like a charm!
I'm a beginner in sandbag training and i've been wondering if the leaning back is actually safe? Or is it just something that's unavoidable when going really heavy and is kind of accepted?
yeah it is just your body trying to balance out heavy shit...i dont think its dangerous as long as your bracing is point

It would of been easier to put the bags in the back of the a pick up truck then reverse the truck to the garage, then roll the bags off into the garage. That was a crazy workout though.

During quarantine I started lifting with some smaller sandbags, the worst part is when I'm done, I feel like I did a bunch of work but didn't accomplish anything. It would be nice to know I did something "actually useful"!

Going from my 100lb to 200lb sandbag is a big jump for me. I can't imagine going from 300 to 420 lol sandbags are the devil.
I'm lucky to have a place where we have 100, 150 and 200. I'm dominating 150 so now the next jump is 200. It's brutal but feels good when you move it easily and think back to when it used to obliterate you.
