I respect Eddie. He admitted sandbags are not his best lift and he put his wellbeing over his ego. Remember 400 pounds is 50 pounds heavier than brian has done at worlds strongest man
Remember, during solo events, these contenders are able to put up extremely higher numbers. During comp however, they run a gambit of events, so it’s not ever a true test of how strong they are on any single event, but how strong they are cumulatively.
I gained a lot of respect for Eddie after that. Even though I respect Nick for pushing so hard, he's probably going to get seriously hurt.
it´s not like the show producers told him to back off to give the old man nick some stage time..

It was crazy. I can't even bench press 400lbs, and this guy is carrying it like a stray dog.
To be fair it's less impressive for Oberst because he weighs a lot more than the older gentleman and is a lot younger.

I have so much respect for Eddie, Robert, Nick, and Brian cause they push themselves everyday and they are the reason that as a junior high school that I am able to make it through the hard times at football works and through all of the hard training I do after so THANK YOU
2 things you always see in these videos. 1: Someone talking about how they can get injuries so easily that they use that as an excuse to not try their hardest 2: Nick Best reminding us all that he is 50 YEARS OLD!

I just gotta say what an inspiration these guys are for my fitness journey, constantly redefining what's possible.
Just today, I set a new personal record by deadlifting 375.
I know, it's nothing compared to these guys, but it's big for me because this is more than I could do BEFORE my accident 5 years ago.
