Thanks to these 2 clowns at the Iron Game desk, I had to go on Reddit to find out how the loading race was scored. If you don't know, it's scored just like stone loading. If you don't get the 400 pound bag over the bar, then your score is the time it took to get the 350 pound bag over the bar. It doesn't matter that you carried the 400 pound bag 29.99 feet and failed. Distance has nothing to with it. Rogue, maybe you should get an actual strong man to do your commentary.
They have Arnold Qualifiers all over the world. If you win, you're in. If you don't win, you get points for finishing position. Two non-winners with most points also get in. Also last year's winner (Thor) is automatic .www.arnoldsportsfestival.com/sports-and-events/pro-strongman-series/
@@antoniocenteno1483 Martins goes because he won and Pritchett and Belsak go because they have the most points after this even which was the last chance to garner points.
He doesn't deserve shit. He didn't place well and has repeatedly shown his lackluster performances. Time for him to gtfo and let the youngins take over.
Say what you want about Shaw about how he doesn't deserve s':t. They dont want him there because hes the strongest and most humble person I know. And you can't take his strongman championship away from him. They have stacked the tables against him at every event. Hes a beast and he still competed sick
id say make them stronger via front, back squat,dl before going on sandbag.i got to 505 dl,405 squat before i was able to shoulder 250lb sandbag without tearing muscles in process before that i felt like i would catch hernia every time i tried to budge those sandbags
Since i am training by myself, i'm having some trouble figuring out how to "lap" the sandbag, that is how to perform the first (only?) lift literally. Do i keep my trunk parallel to the ground and hips slightly higher than my trunk? Do i lift with my back and arms or is it a leg lift? Can anybody help me here? Thanks!
sandsbag or 60 kg nuts bags train your glutes and lower back the strong and flexible core lowere back is the key to get the weight fast up like atlas stones works the same
Martins tries harder whereas Brian just says that's enough don't need that extra lift as last one too hard. Brian can't stop hesitating before lifting so it slows him down.
It is unfair for the shorter competitor and notice they have bolt holes for adjusting the height. They need to change this just like with the Atlas stones . So make the height change to the taller person by adding that much more in inches. Someone is 5 ft 10” tall well if the taller competitor is 6 ft 10” make the height for the taller guy 12 inches higher.
Lol what? They never change height for sandbags or stones. Shorter people have advantages also you know. Catering to the athletes is not the way to go, it's fair across the board.
Say what y’all want about Shaw. But he’s the strongest man on the planet. These events are becoming more CrossFit feeling. It use to be about real power. And that’s why Brian dominated now it’s this hybrid of power and speed. He’s not the most athletic strong man. He’s the strongest though
Sorry to tell you man, but this is real strongman. Eddie Hall was famous for beeing the static strength strongman, not Shaw. Shaw is very athletic, and so must ever strongman be because of all the moving events, like farmerswalk, framecarry, stones, loadingrace and yoke. I would argue those diciplines are very much strongmen disciplines. Why do you think many strongmen have background in areas such as basketball and american football? If you only care for static strength, maybe powerlifting is more in your taste?
I'm sorry but you're wrong. These are all classic events and only in the early 2010s did they favour static strongmen. Also Thor has more static strength
400 lbs sandbag 775 lb deadlift and 90 lb throw .yup this is too light to even be called a crossfit games the deadlift should have been 501kg for reps!!!!!

To those who wish to know, Licis won with a score of 52, Shaw came in second with 51. So Shaw will NOT be competing in the Arnold Classic in March.
no way
crazy close competition. any of those three deserved to be at the arnold classic.

SO only Martins qualified? I´m a bit lost with how they get in the Arnold classic right now
