    Wow! Seriously impressive stuff - that’s a cracker of a polytunnel! I now have serious polytunnel envy! 😂 I was really interested to see the side ventilation windows and the roll-up curtain - the system works brilliantly. That’s going to be an awesome growing space! 👍

    Oh I thought it was going to be the plastic beading fitting to fit the cover on, I have never seen that "wiggle wire" before! Good prep Tony and nice tunnel too...Steve...😃

    I built my cheapie one based on the cheap one on Steve's from Greensideup. It'll probably last me a couple of years. Your's will last many many years. Well done.

    It’s Huge Tony, well done to you and Tina plus some mates who helped you out, you won’t know yourself with all that enclosed space. Now you can get planting. That wiggle wire looks unwieldy I agree protective gear would be wise

    Great job tony👍I’m modifying the polytunnel I got, replacing the zipped green cover with proper polythene sheet, concrete in with off cuts metal tubes, (the cheap blows way polytunnel never comes with any foundation tubes, no anchor plates whatsoever) make your own wooden doors, base rail etc, never want to do it again but I know if you want to do it do it properly and it’s gonna stay won’t get the lift from the cheap zipped covers!! They are waste of time but ok if you just want to use it for a couple of seasons.

    Hell of a lot of work to get that all just so, but, in the long run, all of it worthwhile!! It looks flawless and after seeing the efforts put in, I have to say it is flawless(mistake averted)! Absolutely gorgeous!! Nice teamwork, that is not a one man job! The wind up curtain is fantastic!! You'll be able to enjoy that space for years to come!!💖

    Quality polytunnel that tony and well put together. I've been given 1 of the green cheaper polytunnels. Trying to get time to put it up but with work it's a slow process. Up tomorrow to start on it can't wait. Cheers Tony great video as always.

    It's a long job, but the result is really successful. I'm thinking of buying a tunnel greenhouse, and your tutorial will help me a lot. I'm thinking of using only mosquito netting for the sides for better ventilation, ( I live in a country where it is hot all year round) but I don't know if it will be as strong as plastic in case of a storm. Nice work, Bravo.

      Ideal so this style would be perfect where you can trap the plastic to half way and netting below

    Helped build a couple of these from scratch around 40 years ago. They covered 1/2 acre each with multiple hoops. The roof and upper walls were double skinned to allow inflation, which greatly assisted temperature regulation. Otherwise, a similar setup.

      @@simplifygardening I don't recall what we put in the big ones, but the owner had a pre-existing tunnel around twice the size of yours that he kept inflated with a bathroom fan.

      @@simplifygardening I like the sleeper idea and the raised bed as it offers protection for the polythene.If you added a guttering above the windows it would collect some serious water!.

      I have the land, but not the money. I’ll have to make one with cattle panels, though much smaller than yours. It’s enough for me. Maybe someday I’ll be able. But it better happen soon because I’m already 66.

    great professional quality work. I'm not sure those holes are a smart idea, unless you cut them with a hot knife, because those will give surface area for a tear to run. Though it is a great concept, particularly if you can't simply lift the sides due to pest pressure.

      We have had 100MPH winds here many times since and not one has teard If cut in to a circle then that prevents it

    Looks really good - have you thought of ways of capturing the rain that falls on it to use for watering rather than letting it run off into the soil?

    HI mate, a real thorough step by step guide. Good of you to hi-light your mistakes so others do not have to make the same ones. Looks a strong frame and well manufactured. Was there enough hot spot tape in the kit or did you purchase extras to make sure everything got covered? Nice one pal 👍👍

    I’ve had my pollytunnle for about ten years now it was northern pollytunnles I would love to take the plastic off and put a new one on but it would be a big job

    Hi Tony,
    Cracking tunnel and build video but I'm confused as to why the frame needed hot spot tape but the wiggle wire channel didn't, I can see it would be a nightmare to apply to the channel
    however surely the aluminium channel will heat up in the sun just as the steel tube will ?, or am I missing something.

      We shall see. but my home made one I have had for 10 years. The plastic should last 8 the frame should be double that

    I just went and watched the 3-part move of the old tunnel. This build looks a whole lot easier. 👌
    I am seriously considering putting up a poly tunnel. We live in a wind tunnel where there is a low point in the Cascade Mountain Range, so the winds are wicked strong. I have to do some research to find a kit that can withstand our high winds. If anyone has any recommendations, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Well done. What looks like a really daunting task, you made look easily achievable. It would have been nice to have a close up of the wiggle wire but I got the idea. What are the dimensions of your tunnel.

      John the wiggle wire is just a w shape wire and it bends in and out of the channel. The tunnel is 36ft long by 16 ft wide

    Hi Tony. can you wind up the cover over the vents other way so that it doesnt catch the water when rolled up , would it rub the plastic sheeting that way? Seems as though the water would just run off instead of catching water and getting unsightly.

      You were probably right tho after thinking about it, it's easier to clean your way, if rolled the other way the rain would blow in and this time on the inside which is much harder to clean.I would just wipe with a cloth easy.thx for the reply

    Hello I live in Michigan and I started growing my garlic in August today my garlic is over 2 ft tall June or July I should be harvesting them have you ever tried planting ,your garlic this early before because it works for me let me know if you ever heard of people doing this
