ALL the skirts are FANTASTIC!!!! What fabulous fabrics and styles, I would wear all 7 of them. Thank you sharing this video, I am definitely getting this pattern, all the 4 women in my house will have skirts they will want from it. Your are wonderful, sending hugs xxx
I am a sucker for a great print. So you got me with the butterflies. Who doesn't love wearing butterflies. Love the animal print one to with the matching top. Super cute.
Normally I would've never considered those fabrics for anything for myself. However after watching your creative tweaks to these patterns and garments you've made. I'm inspired to try creating a couple myself! You've created several attractive feminine and wearable pieces! I plan to hit the fabric district in nearby LA as soon as it's safe! Thank you so much for sharing your passion and skills for sewing and fabric uses. Bless you and yours.
Wonderful explanations and display! Even though I have the opposite body shape , your videos are still my favorite because you are so pleasant to watch and learn from.
I like them all! I love how you reused the thrift store scuba skirt! How clever. You’ve inspired me to keep my eyes open and think outside the box. I need that skirt pattern now. Thank you!
I like how you added and subtracted from the pattern in order to use the fabrics you loved ... under skirt, lining, redrafting front, larger seam allowances. You took remnants and created masterpieces. Very inspirational.
All the skirts are lovely. I think I might just have to have that pattern. I have some lovely multi coloured scuba with butterflies but pinks and light background. Thank you.
Stretch fabric has always scared me because I don't know what to buy. I'm just back into sewing after a long break and find you so inspiring. Keep safe.
It’s good to be back sewing. I’d recommend going to a shop and looking at clothes and touching a lot to get a feel of the styles and fabrics together. But now the shops are closed :( I get lots of ideas from RTW.
Hi Karina!! Wonderful vlog.. All of your skirts turned out amazing.. I think I like the zippered skirts the most, from last year.. Your asymmetrical skirt front at the flowers looks like you fussy cut to match but looks awesome.... 💜💜🧵🧵
Indeed a nice collection. Hard to choose a favorite. Like how you used the print on the faux wrap. Also like the laat one, both woth that matching top, as well as with the black one. 💕
Wow. Every skirt is just stunning. I haven’t made my pattern up yet but I must now. I love all your videos and I am the same size and height as you so I find your adjustments so helpful. Thank you for all the hard work you put in.
I do agree. My nearest city is Bergen, a 3 hours drive. I have just made a blouse and a cardigan from 2 skirts I bought there this february. Stay at home sewing.
You've made a lot of fabulous skirts.I like the flounce with the matching top it looks really special.I like the asymmetrical skirt but I think with the fabric you've used it would have been better without. The print is so different and gorgeous the asymmetrical piece hides the print.
I treated myself this morning to this pattern as it is my birthday! Iv'e been waiting for this pattern to come on Friday's sale after I saw your Tessa Sheath mash up!! I love the skirts you have made in this video. Great tips as usual Katrina!!
I love all of your skirts! I was thinking about hacking the dropped yoke style to have the pleated bottom. 🤔 I think it will be a really fun style. In your expert opinion, do you think that would work?
You’d need adjustments because the pleated skirt of drafted to hit the natural waist. That’s not going to fit onto the dropped yoke because that hits the full hip. You’d need a wider pleated skirt or make the pleats smaller for it to work. It would take some thought but anything is possible.
Lifting pins and needkes. Hi, just noticed your sewing machine. Is it JANOME TXL 607, if so, I have the same. great little embroidery machine. Love your videos. Jen in the UK. xx
No elastic. The fabric I use for waistbands is heavy weight with great recovery and stretch. Elastic is not necessary as the waistband is smaller than my waist :)
Hi Karina, Hint... I would love to order this pattern, and last Friday's pattern, but my husband hasn't been able to print one pattern successfully and has tried 3 times since Christmas. So far it has been a big waste of paper. The lessons on RUclips haven't helped. Maybe because I'm using the Firefox brouser? Foxfire is the only one I haven't been hacked on yet! I have to admit that I didn't think that I would like the Flounce, but I loved it! It was very feminine and just brushed the knee. Very becoming on you! That colour blocking on the asymmetrical skirt was brilliant! More! After you have had a chance to rest up, (and you need to or you will burn out) would you please show us how to make a bodice/sleeves with the Shoulder holes? Getting the right drape is challenging!
Are you using adobe acrobat reader to print them? This will work with any browser if you download that software. I hope you can sort that out soon. Pdf patterns are so accessible otherwise.
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Yes, I helped him download Adobe myself. I think that Adobe makes the Free Program harder to use. Do you know of a real good video lesson? Not to complain but sometimes I come away from those lessons more confused than when I began!
Momzilla Make sure in Adobe Reader you have selected “no scaling” and that you have selected the correct paper size. In Canada and the U.S this will be letter size (8.5 x 11) but if you are in another country and using A4 size paper you will have to change the setting to A4. Your printer must also be set to no scaling (your printer may call it “actual size” or “100%”) and the correct paper size. The nice thing about Love Notions pdf patterns is you don’t have to trim the pages before you put them together. They have info on printing their patterns here. www.lovenotions.com/trimless-assembly
I see your point. However, I only do french seams on light weight woven fabrics. I wouldn’t want to do that with lace and ITY because it’d be super bulky. The lace seam is practically invisible and I had serger thread to match. The lining on the other hand is a darker blue and the seam would be noticeable. That’s why I did what I did. French seams are not part of what I do with knit fabrics.
Love them all! I have a question about the single brushed poly. Do you line it merely because of it showing underwear lines, or is it also a bit sheer? I’ve never seen single, only DBP. Thanks!!
I have had my eye on that drop yoke skirt for ages now. I will definitely be buying this pattern. All of your skirts are beautiful. Thanks Karina. Take care and I hope you’re getting some sleep!! 🌺
Hi Karina. Are you in Africa with my husband ? 😂😂😂😂. I can see that you sweat a lot and you sew a lot African animal prints 😂. I only made the drope yoke skirt in a grey ponti for winter. I love it but your zebra one with this thin and drapy knit fabric. ... hmmmmm. So nice!! I have a question. Do you sew the same size for the lining simple skirt or à smaller one? Thank you so much Karina and take care 👍
I made the same size for these linings because they stretch less Than the main fabrics. If it were the other way around, I’d make the lining a tad smaller, but just a tad. It’s hot and humid still and it’s autumn. I’m always sweating unfortunately 😅

You could do a French seam.

On the lining. That way u won't see a raw seam and you can also do that on the top fabric. 🙂 happy sewing.
