Been following your build for years now. I personally think this is the perfect power level for a street car. 600hp is way more of Handful than people realize. We’ve gotten so spoiled hearing new cars come out with insane ho figures more that we tend to neglect that 10-15 years ago, the average car only has right around 200hp from factory. Keep the great content coming though. Between you and Dustin Williams, these are two of my favorite 32s on RUclips.
Thank you for following so long, Adam! Yeah I agree 600hp is more than enough for these cars on the street! Thank you for the compliment!
Been following you since I got my Gtr 7 years since then sold it for a mk4 supra cause I have always been a Toyota guy but ur passion and love for cars makes me smile well done to you my man 🎉🎉
Thank you Maxwell! I truly appreciate the support my man!
Nice run into the 11s is some good work. Glad to see you out there making some GTR vids Dustin keep it up. I have some sponsors working with my channel to finish up my GTR build. I will be announcing this soon. I cant wait to get my car back together.
Hey man, thank you...that's cool about the sponsors! I hope it all comes together for ya soon!
Glad to see you were able to hit the track and get some runs in. Looking like you slimmed down too. Good work man.
Thank you Javi, I have lost about 20lbs 😁 thank you for the compliment!
Broooo I looked away while you were on the bridge and looked back seeing you FLYING! Saw the cars and instantly felt nauseous 😱🫣🫠🤣🤣
lol...oops...my bad :) Thank you for watching!
Post more driving vids! the car sounds great man 😎 post how you fixed these issues as well!
Will do!
Hey Dustin. Great to see you again. That thing sounds wicked and definitely has a 10 in it. Shame about the gremlins on your first trip to the track, but you made up for it on the next one. You've built an amazing car and it's nice to see you out there enjoying it. See you back in the fall for those 10 second slips. Take care, brother.
Thank you, Mick! I hope you're right lol! You take care as well!
Still an amazing machine. Some nice runs. And i would like to watch if you posted a drive out. To hear the glorious engine. Adam from England
Cheers, Adam!
Work on that 2nd shift and shifting to 3rd, you’re coming out of boost on the shifts which is killing your mph up top! Good practice and congrats on the passes man car sounds so good!!!
Hey Cardo! yeah I do that on purpose to "save" my transmission. They're not just laying around scrap yards like in Aussieland! lol ;) Thank you and I hope to see your car up and running soon!
Man...if only there was a really cool GTR guy here with a working GTR to show him how it's done.
Miss your GTR btw. And your content.
Nice to see you finally back out racing! Nice initial runs! I'm sure it will all iron out as you make more runs. Looking forward to more racing!
Thank you man!
Love it, man. Sounds killer!
Speaking of sounds, for the talky bits, you should grab a little wireless lav setup...your audio is all over the place using the phone/camera mic. I've used a Rode WirelessGo for YEARS and DJI has a really nice one out now, too. Highly recommend!!
Hey thank you man, I'll look into the lav mics!
@@Goodezilla If you want my WirelessGo, lemme know. On the house, one GT-R bro to another.
@@rmp5s Wow, that's a very generous offer man! Does it work with smartphone recording too? PM me on Facebook or Instagram whenever you get a chance, we'll chat about it.
@@GoodezillaYou've already got the auto-reply set up and everything. I'm kinda impressed. 🤣
It's funny because I thought I'd follow you (minus the block) and hit 10's but that's the allure of the mystical skyline thinking its easy to make power until you do the work yourself haha. I guess I should aim for 11's if I ever do go to the drag strip. Good runs man, just going to throw it out there to watch your palming technique because I don't want to see you misshift from 3rd to 2nd instead of 4th.
Yeah, it's a fun car to drive, but definitely difficult to not bash on it while drag racing. I don't want to break the stock trans by power shifting of anything.
Have you considered ditching the catch can and running an AOS that return to sump? I know it’s less than ideal to return to sump with ethanol, but with good oil and more frequent changes, it could be worth it to never have to worry about overflowing again.
Hey, yeah I've considered that, but I don't want to deal with all the ethanol in the oil going back into the engine bearings etc.
I heard on Motive’s video that return to sump solves the issues with ethanol separating from the oil in a catch can since you’ll be burning off the excess water by returning to sump.
@@True60RS Interesting...I'll have to look and see if I can find that
Ugh oil messes are the worst. 2nd pass looked good! Definitely better on the 3rd run! Stewart Leask has oil catch can rad overflow for our cars. Get with him and see if his will work for ya.
Thank you Jake! :)
Good runs. 10s are coming soon! Oh yeah the 33 isn't so quiet anymore...
Thank you man! haha yeah I saw that you swapped over exhausts!
awesome video! can't wait to it run 10's
Thank you man, I can't wait either! lol
@@Goodezilla if you need any help or parts let me know I own a shop that specializes in skyline and I own a midnight purple R33 GT-R and my tech has a 900whp R32 GT-R! 👊😎
@@tommykentner Your name looked familiar, I've seen your channel before! Thank you for the offer too!
Yo Goode! You have a 10 second car there for sure. Those bleed style boost valves dont account for air temp or load or anything. Definitely need to get the mac hooked back up. Your hair is as luscious as your car lol. Im gonna go check out a shirt now....
🤣🤣 Thank you Chris! Yeah I'm going to get the mac valve back up and running
Hey bro, you’ve got a much better time in that if you can stitch it all together. Word to the wise, throw that baby catch can in the bin and get yourself a much bigger one. At least double in size. Dahtone Racing in Australia make a really neat unit and also RIPS Racing in New Zealand. Worth the money and you should have this issue. Also part vented, part return to sump. Don’t worry about the old methanol in oil myth. I mean, as long as you’re changing your oil every 5,000KM which you should be doing anyway, you’ll be fine. Heaps of us with big power here in Australia run them this way.
Good luck mate.
Thank you for sharing awesome 👌 build sounds amazing like it should
You already have the cam cover baffles right? Pretty sure I remember you putting those in in an old video, but that seems like a lot of oil dump cause I don't even dump that much from a full 20-30 minute session at track days. =\
No, I bought Mine's baffles, but never installed them. I reinstalled the stock baffling after getting the cam covers powdercoated. After watching Motive video about the RB's and their oiling, it's actually pretty normal to fill up with a setup like mine. Hoping that the Hi-Octane baffles I just got will help the issue. Need to install them!
@@Goodezilla Mine's and Hi-Octane are essentially identical in design, but the only thing is I don't think the Mine's had any claims on the foam working with E85. Either way, those'll help a lot with the blowby!
@@casefc3s Yeah, that's why I sold the Mine's baffles, didn't want the e85 to eat up the foam. Hi-Octane says it's fine, so I went with them.
I had my bws362sxe t51 modded by ocdworks, i havent driven it yet but on jackstands i cant hear any whistling from the turbo, hoping its because of the short hood exit exhaust
The exhaust coming out of the hood will probably drown out the sound of the turbo. Maybe under certain loads/mph/rpm you'll be able to hear it spooling over the exhaust
Also wondering what your alignment settings are… how much rear camber do you have? Spinning that hard with MTs on a prepped surface makes me think there is too much rear camber. If you have rear adjustable camber arms, trying running 0 rear camber or even half a degree positive to get a better contact patch on launch.
In all honesty...I need to get an alignment done. The car has all stock arms except the HICAS delete arms.
@@Goodezilla ahhh, yah. Rear adjustable camber arms and a proper alignment alone should have you into the 10s
Did you ever test that fuel or do you have an ethanol content gauge?
I have a Haltech Multigauge and flexfuel sensor, so I programmed the gauge to show me the ethanol content. It's one of the views I have setup and I check it after every fillup. I'm usually around e75 from the Sheetz pumps I use most often.
What killed the O2 sensor? Couldn't have been much mileage on it.
Just a fuse holder, and the sensor was fine?
Yeah the sensor was still good. The fuse wasn't blown and the gauge would start working everytime I took the fuse out and back in, but would stop working 30sec to a couple mins later. Thought maybe a bad control box, until I saw the one side of the fuse holder was burnt looking. Replaced the holder and no problem since.
@@Goodezilla WB1 O2 sensor and controller from haltech?
@@PlatoonGarage yup
@@Goodezilla same in my car, I'll have to keep an eye out
What intake manifold are you running?
It's the same as the Zeeofab or Otaku Garage manifolds
What transmission? Tires? Transfer controller?
Stock trans, Mickey Thompson ET Street drag radials 275/40 17s, no controller
@@Goodezilla seems the Speedtek gearset is the best money/dollar option, a transfer controller that allows for more 4wd during launch is the key, not sure which of them to buy though
Once you get your boost control dialed in, boost by gear made my car WAY faster.
thank you I'll look into it!
We want more
🎉🎉🎉
I'm just checking in on you since I haven't seen or heard anything from you in about a year now. Everything "Good?" I sure hope all is well...
@@mtboverholts253 Hey, thank you for reaching out! I'm doing well, just living life and being a Dad of kids in travel sports. I also started a new job, and I haven't been able to do much with the car, so haven't had any content to film and edit. I'm hoping to get some content out as soon as I get some free time!
Yo bro are you good
Yessir! Living life, working, raising kids, etc. I've got some footage recorded, just need to sit down and edit it together!
catch can is way too small... need more content
Let that be a lesson to Americans to not locate your oil catch can where the ABS goes.
Unless you want it to burn down.
That's why I moved it to the intake side years ago! Didn't even want the oil vapor coming out of the top filter to possibly ignite.
