Excellent and very informative content great job on the description of the tackle and the method of trotting. 👍🏾
Glad it was helpful Anthony. I'm learning as I go with these videos :)
👍🏻👍🏻 great vid.
New sub
Thanks for the sub Richard. Glad you enjoyed it. You've a great name for fishing.
@ 🤣. Iv just booked a week at Mill Cottage Cabalva stretch next June the 20th, carnt wait , had a week on the Avon at Fordingbridge got back yesterday. BLANKED it. River was in a right state and snow melt coming down steam killed it. That’s my excuse anyway.👍🏻
Well done for fishing in this weather. I haven't braved it. My local Nene is up, coloured and very cold. When things settle down I might give it a crack for Chub.
Lovely session, I had two days on the Wye last week. Really enjoyed my fishing. Just the one Barbel this time, I'll be back next year. Great video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your kind words. Glad you enjoyed the video and well done on your Barbel. Every one is magic.
A really enjoyable trotting video, thanks for posting it! I have fished that same stretch and swim for barbel & chub over the last three seasons when I have had a trip to the Wye. The first two seasons I had quite a few barbel amongst all the chub but this season I had a couple of sessions there and only caught chub with no sign of any barbel. Like yourself I have a Daiwa Connoisseur rod although mine is the 15 foot version. May I ask you about the Advanta bait bucket you had round your waist - does it have a name or model number and where could I purchase one?
Thanks Harry. I think the bait pouch is this one. www.anglingdirect.co.uk/advanta-eva-fishing-bait-caddy
Love your talk on closed session, fish have No diary, water temperature is there’s. Do wish it was put into the hands of the controlling ticket holders👍
Thanks Dave. I totally agree. Works well in other countries. Many Barbel are still spawning in June when the season opens.
Great session and I have similar pastimes as you enjoyed it thanks for sharing and u have another sub 🐟🎣👍
Brilliant - thanks Phil and I appreciate you subscribing! I'll check your channel out too buddy.
Excellent days fishing, the Chub were hungry. One point I must make is where is your tether line to the bank, might sound stupid but I have seen one fisherman lose his footing and nearly drowned.
Great session 👍
Thanks David. You make a good point about safety when using waders, especially in rivers. I've never heard of a tether before.
@@WildlifeAndFishing I used to fish the Severn at Coalbeookdale and always had a rope around the waste attached to a tree or ground spike when out in the river.
Which stretch was this please? Had a similar day at Fownhope on Tuesday last, great fishing the float standing in the stream.
Lovely video, many thanks for sharing.
Thanks for your comments, glad you enjoyed the video. The stretch is a HDAA ticket one, but I hope you understand I might keep the exact location off RUclips. Fownhope is probably my favourite best on the Wye and I fished it the day after this one. Caught plenty more Chub and had my PB Barbel at just over 10 pounds. Keep an eye out for the next video :)
Thanks, that has kind of confirmed what I thought and quite right to not shout it out. Keep the videos coming. You are not also a friend of Nic Bradley by any chance?
@@Leffebelly Ta. Yes, I know Nic well :) mat him the day after this session. You know him also?
@@owler578 Haha, I didn't realise you were that Nick who fished with Nic at Hunts Corner, Fownhope, etc. I'm Miles, I've fished with Nic recently on the Wye and met him on Thursday at Barton Mill when I was barbel fishing on the Avon. Not sure if its a small world or that we are all attracted to similar things.
Great video thanks for sharing
Thanks Harry! Appreciate it. Nick
