This is the second best black metal song. (The first is Immortal's At the heart of winter, the third is MArduk's Infernal eternal). Also Hellhammer kicked serious asses on Covenanant's Nexus polaris
I love this version of Freezing Moon and Dead sings it the way he wanted it since he wrote it. I love the lyrics but there is no way you could ever understand what was in Dead's head.
It's not that hard to understand. He had depression and was suicidal. He was obsessed with death and Euronymous really motivated him to kill himself many times, so I think his bandmates did not gave a single fuck about him. Putting away the satanic symbolism (it's more ocultism than satanism, tbh), he seemed to talk about his mental state, you know. I mean, that song starts with "everything here is so cold, everything here is so dark". You may say he's talking about death, but I really think it's about his dark subconcious (he have a song on his band Morbid with that title), a place that's not safe at all. Some people just want to hear a catchy tune to dance to, and they can't understand that type of music because they don't understand what art is supposed to be... it's always happy, it's not always about candy and flowers and little birds. It's about the wilderness of the feeling. Art is somewhere that you can express all your frustration, sickness, and fucked up toughts. Sometimes it's about tragedy. We just have to know how to control the dark side of our minds.
@@w.w.marchi1677 i believe Pelle could be helped, but his bandmates failed him. He needed professional help and someone around who will try to understand him and envourage to get professional help. He was such a pretty boy. And yes, Freezing moon is about his mental state, his depression. I don't like black metal but i like Freezing moon.
@@ultron374 I think you would like DSBM if you like Freezing Moon for those reasons. Lyrinx, Sadness, totalselfhatred, Abyssic Hate, Xasthur, Trist, Leviathan, and a couple others are good places to start.
Listen to The True Mayhem's Freezing Moon Tribute to Euronymous. It's the same song, same version but with 10 times better quality. Other people on RUclips post black metal music with worse audio for the fans that like worse audio i guess, but i believe Vinand Sori picked the wrong video.
drageben "Rest in Peace" is a christian phrase. It literally means to wish the soul of a decedent eternal rest and peace in Christ. I don't think Dead would appreciate that.
Eaglebauer i'm sorry It's just that it's a phrase that is still used And even though it's Christian It can also be used to say that the dead should have peacefull rest Because death is kind of like sleiping only that you never wake up Maybe i can use Rest gently you great Viking Maybe
i'll always wonder dead's psyche. how can one be obsessed with death and take their own life at 22? could it be prevented with the right kind of human affection and professional help? his story is tragic.
YES MAYHEM!!!! OMG Euronymous is the guitar player Vin and Dead is the vocalist necrobutcher was the bass player varg replaced necrobutcher after Dead died when he shot himself with a shotgun and he killed euronymous this version has dead on vocals euronymous on guitar and nectobutcher on bass Varg played bass on the album where the official Freezing moon version is on. Freezing Moon is the most classic Black Metal song this version with Dead on vocals is the best version trust me don't worry if you guys don't like it black metal is hard to get into
If I remember correctly, Euronymous wasn't even alive for the first official LP. It was Attila on vocals at the time, though I'm pretty sure this is a Dead recording. After that vocals were headed by Maniac and guitars by Blasphemer. Let me know if I missed anything.
Varg wasn't the bassplayer on this version. He did bass for the album when Attila did the vocals. This is Necrobutcher playing the bass on this version.
I really admire your open mindedness towards music and the various communities. This song to me is less about the lyrics and more about the very primal feeling. Dead’s voice cuts through the mix and I feel it physically, I find the delivery of this song very cool and haunting. I’ll 100% admit black metal is an acquired taste and mood but once you kinda get it then there’s no other genre like it
Actually. Ur comment is ok. But 4 me I heard my 1st blk metal at 12 and it stopped me DEAD. instant love. The talent of Dead was unreal. (Try his album MORBID). Horns to Dead. Dead
I think also that to like this particular song you have to be into slower songs, not just the fast and crazy or super grand and epic ones. For example I like this song but when I first heard it I was already a fan of the band Draconian which is a gothic death-doom band.
@Nemesis 86 Why? Because this whole thing is just a game for the audience. They have absolutely no idea what black metal is, they don't like the music, they don't understand it, but they try to explain something. At 14:28 he had nothing more to say, but the video is 20 minutes long. They didn't say anything, I didn't learn anything from the video, it only exists for fans of that channel. And the girl? Aaaaaaaa, eeeeeee, uuuuuuu. Look, I understand what this is about. 20 minutes to try something that doesn't make sense. And one more thing, imagine, I'm a Christian, you could say I'm a fanatic, but unlike them, I understand what the music is about and I understand those people. If you like videos where for 20 minutes you only hear "aaaaaa, uuuuuu, eeeeee, I don't understand", then this video is just for you.
Black metal was born to upset people, it represents an antiaesthetic feeling. I won't try to convince you that this is good music, but there is still art in in this...you just have to have the correct eyes (or ears) to appreciate it. But you don't have to. This band represent a movement more than a band. But i perfectly understan your disgust
First time I heard this song it just blew my mind I was very depressed at the time and it was amazing how this song could translate how I was feeling , but this always give me that depressive feelings that you don't want to have. I guess you have to see life a lot darker to understand this genre.
@@apollyon_616 Well, Helhammer is too cool and straight up guy to say something like that. I know he said it in an interview but he just told what he heard from the others. It wasn't his thing.
You know I never thought about it this way and I completely agree with you. The only real way to understand this type of music is to have experienced such a deep level of darkness.
Euronymous (the stabbed) played guitar on that album not vocals. Varg (the stabber) played bass on this album as a session musician. There's also a version with Dead (committed suicide with a shotgun) recording the vocals who wrote the lyrics which you are listening to. On the Dead recording I think it wasn't Varg on bass tho Try Mayhem's Life Eternal. The lyrics to that were part of Dead's suicide note With regards to your reaction, the intent of this song was written for people to commit suicide to (which the vocalist actually did). Why should it sound pleasant or interesting? It's meant to set the mood for suicide which is dark, gloomy, agonising and messy. Imagine a medieval public execution with church bells ringing in the background with death slowly approaching, that's definitely something that the song portrays at a very high level. Another reason why it is highly regarded in BM because of the people who tracked the official album. Dead's lyrics, Varg's bass, Euronymous and the guy from Thorns on guitar and the producer was the iconic producer of black metal the same way Scott Burns was the iconic producer of Florida Death Metal. It's like one of those "top 10 anime crossovers" meme of BM. That being said, if you don't like it then it's ok too. You can't possibly like everything just because everybody else does.
@@edybocman76 yes this was Necrobutcher. This lineup was also for the Carnage recording becaue it was B-side (back in the vinyl days... The good old days)
Alright this needs to be corrected. 1. Varg & Euronymous was NEVER friends. Varg never like him and neither did the other members of the band. 2. Varg wasn't a member of Mayhem. He only did the basslines for the album "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas". But he isn't playing the bass on this version. On this version it is the original bassplayer Necrobutcher. 3. The vocalist (Dead) on this song took his own life in the cabin where he & Euronymous lived.
there's just so much bullshit done and made up in order to piss on Varg and on the black metal scene.... it's unbelievable. We gotta continue spreading the word.
That is the essence of black metal. You either like it or you dont. Mayhem was at the forefront of the movement. Your reaction is perfect! Its not supposed to appeal to the masses.
"To give some semblance of an explanation I'm not a human, this is just a dream and soon I will awake. It was too cold and the blood kept clotting, plus my new knife is too dull. If I don't succeed dying to the knife I will blow all the shit out of my skull. Yet I do not know." - Dead (Mayhem)
As somebody who has gone through severe depression and considered suicide at different times of my life, I could not connect to this song. It has no rhythm. Secondly, why do you assume people who pray don't go through dark times? It sounds like you fundamentally misunderstand spirituality.
A Black Metal song making you frustrated... mission accomplished I would say ;-) By the way... you are the most entertaining and thought provoking "react to"-RUclips channel I encountered so far. Thumbs up!
This is the embodiement of true black metal. Defined the sound and aesthetics. Its appeal lies in the grimness, the ugliness and the overall evil atmosphere it conjures up. It's very raw and unsophisticated, and meant that way. Meant to shock and displease those who aren't receptive to it. But sure, the lyrics are pretty childish and simplistic, the band was still very young at the time. It became more sophisticated later in time.
Funeral Mist would be great, Salvation is probably a bit much, so probably something off Maranatha. New record is definitely a grower but I like it a lot.
Freezing Moon and early black metal like it is so highly regarded partly because of the under produced, raw sound that doesn’t follow a standard song structure. Freezing Moon is a glimpse into Dead’s mind, a mind that thinks very differently to many. Anyone who can take something from the grim side of existence can find the lyrics powerful and the overall abrasive, unsettling sound helps to create the morbid overtone of the message. Easily in my top five songs of all time!
This song always reminds me of that night on the watch in the army when there was -50C(/F). Loved the song before that, but that experience gave it a whole new meaning. It was full moon and the song kept ringing in my head.
You see, your reaction to this song is exactly what guys from Mayhem wanted when they recorded this at the time. So whether you agree or not, they succeeded.
Of course this is the holy grail of black metal. Stripped down production, repetitive riffs, high shrieks on vocals, dark lyrics. It is an acquired taste without question, but it is an amazing song. You guys never listened to any of the bands from the Inner Circle/Helvete scene - Darkthrone, Burzum, Mayhem - they're the most important ones. Burzum is great, because if you get into Dunkelheit and the debut album, you're safe for everything black metal. Freezing Moon was an instant like for me, but Dunkelheit took me some time to appreciate, now it's one of my favourite songs ever. This is what most extreme music is like, challenging yourself and expanding your taste.
Couple things. The vocalist for this song is Dead, the guitarist is Euronymous. And Varg doesn't play on this. He was the bassist on the first album which came out after he killed Euronymous. The drummer told his family he'd rerecord Vargs bass parts but he couldnt play bass so he didn't.
This is one of the early versions of Freezing Moon from around 1990-1991 i think, not the one from the DMDS's album wich is better and colder, imo... This is Dead on vocals of course, Attila sang on the album, the line-up is different here compared to DMDS, with Dead, Necrobutcher on bass and not sure if second guitarist Blackthorn was there, it's probably only Euronymous here, Varg recorded bass on DMDS only, since Necrobutcher left for a while after Dead committed suicide... Anyway you should listen to the title-track De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, it's the most evil song ever recorded, imo, the entire DMDS also had great production for its time, much cleaner than this version of Freezing Moon here... Mayhem's more recent albums are also different, much more avant-garde and progressive, very brutal, fast and technical stuff, like Grand Declaration Of War or Chimera, masterpieces, Hellhammer is a monster drummer...
Differents opnions i like much more this version of freezing moon is more raw the album version is to boring to my and don't like the style of the vocalist kill all the album for my
Varg didn't even play bass in the recording with Pelle (Dead), Necrobutcher played bass in the version you guys listened to. Varg came after necrobutcher left the band because Euronymous took pictures of Dead's corpse.
Please do a review of the entire album. It is one of the deepest BM albums lyrically (Vin, you’ll be blown away) and musically perfect. I think it would be a milestone for y’all.
Long story short - the first recording is a demo. Dead wrote the lyrics and sings on the first one and ended up killing himself. Euronymous plays guitar. Varg plays bass on the album version of the song as a session musician and he didn’t play live with the band. Varg was convicted of the murder of Euronymous
davey blair Ken is still alive and his work on songs like Keep on Rotting in the free world and many others are just phenomenal. His use of cowbell and everything for death and rock is perfect.
I'm straight up over here thrashing my head, playing the air drums, and straight up getting down with it and I look over at them to see if they are vibing like me and they are sitting completely still LMAO
The holy grail starts at 4:41 here in your video. That riff and the one that follows. At least that's the core. Bands before did the low production thing, did the aggressive drumming thing, did the eerie atmosphere thing, did the simple repetitive riffs, did the evil lyrics and image thing, did all that. Except this. That type of riff was basically invented by Euronymous (and Snorre), and this was that song that set the ball rolling for the sound which is the defining feature of black metal (or 2nd wave of black metal to be more precise). They didn't invent it out of nothing, sure, they were influenced by earlier bands (listening to demos/albums of Sadistik Exekution, Tormentor, Parabellum, Reencarnación, Sarcófago, etc), but here is the beginning of that continuous tremolo picking riff, where same length notes are stringed together to make a melody. So, Mayhem and this song are the holy grail of black metal bc they established the elements of black metal: first and foremost, as the differentia specifica - that tremolo riff, and besides it also the blast beat drumming, the eerie parts or parts of the song with slower minimalist repetitive riffs, and 'evil' lyrics and image. Mayhem made this song in 1990, and it spread via gigs and bootlegs, you can listen to Live in Leipzig which was released by Mayhem in 1993, but recorded in 1990.
As somebody who has loved this sound for close to 30 years, I will attempt an answer. In a nutshell, I think it is beautiful music as opposed to pretty music. A landscaped garden is ordered and pretty- like trance, house, and in a different way, jazz and samba. But a forest at night is beautiful. And it is beauty that captures the human soul. At least mine. Dead's voice is squeezed from the diaphragm through a constricted throat and you don't hear vocal chords, but rather a rush of air. This makes it primal and hauntingly beautiful. As you point out, it is painting a picture. A person alone in the forest at night, under a full moon. I've been in that place. As in a Hans Henny Jahnn novel, he questions his own existence, his own life. He sees himself as dead. But living in a world surrounded by people who are "alive", a stranger and a foreigner. We like randomness, like the sound of flowing water. His voice over the music texture is like a gust of wind, or a falling tree, over water. Its disharmony can capture you. There is so little beautiful music. I think some early punk is like this too, and various ethnic music. So I think you were spot-on- yes, this is another side of music. That side that captures me.
Ok, guys, you've reached the level of ridiculousness that you should drop reacting to BM videos because you don't understand and you are obviously not able to grasp it so just drop and quit embarassing yourself. Please. First of all, BM is not supposed to be universally pleasant, QUITE ON THE OPPOSITE! The reaction it has extracted from you is the reaction that was intended, and it is also the ridge between the normies you are and the BM people: BM people find the tunes of this song at least somewhat pleasant. I'm not sure why everyone insisted you react to Mayhem (most of people are stupid, anyway), because, to be fair, the band is quite controversial -- and I don't mean the violent stuff, in generes and milleus like this, the more violence -- the better. The controversy was conceptual and it was there from the beginning: Mayhem's music was designed to be repulsive (the design still works, heh), to fend off normies from the TRVE KVLT BLACK METAL SCENE, but Øystein Årseth (Euronimus) still somehow insisted and persuaded the other guys that they were going to get rich with this soon (he himself was kinda the rich bitch of the whole scene, being supported by the family he just spent their money keeping a music shop that was unprofitable, somewhat financing the Mayhem stuff, the other guys were close to be dirt poor). Not getting rich as the time passed predictably created a lot of frustration in the band, but as I am typing these words, I am thinking: may be it was also a part of the design, and the accumulating frustration reinforced the repulsiveness of the music? Quite brilliant, if you think about it. The outcomes of this accumulating frustration are already the commonplace knowledge. The other part of the controversy is the fact that Mayhem's music is arguably AKTUALLY not really black metal, more like extreme metal, not yet diverged into its three main branches: death, black, and doom metal. This is both on the level of form, and on the level of content. Make no mistake, Øystein Årseth himself was not only an ideological key figure in the BM milleu: he and another guitarrist, Snorre Ruch of the band Thorns, invented the tremolo picking that has become the basic audial form of black metal (that and the blastbeat drumming, of course). Ironically enough, Mayhem's early records do not showcase either tremolo picking or blastbeating too much still having a lot of connections witn slow death metal and doom metal. On the level of contents, although death, and cold, and anguish in general aare still something that belongs to the black metal scope of topics, black metal being lyrically connected to the European Romanticism is not quite complete without the Satanic and Norse mythology, as well as without the themes of veneration and adoration of the Nature and its Spirit as opposed to Man. In that way Euronimous, and Mayhem, and the fuzz around the so called Inner Black Circle may have kickstarted the Black Metal Genre in spirit, I would say that its flesh and bone (lyrcal and technical / tonical components of the music -- I'll let you decide whichever is flesh, and whichever is bone) was secured more by Varg's Burzum and Fenriz's / Nokturnoculto's Darkthrone (as was secured Varg's militant Antichristian influence and Fenriz's more intravert / escapist / somewhat autistic approach; although the both approaches were to a degree characteristic to both projects); then came Emperor, Immortal, Enslaved, and Satyricon, and the Hell broke loose. I mean, it's really not that hard to make a note that the scales, the tunes in the Western European black metal all around heir more to Darkthrone, Burzum, Emperor, Immortal, Enslaved, and Satyricon rather than to early Mayhem. One more point of irony here is that after the reunification of Mayhem (without Euronimus for obvious reasons) in later years it became more black metal in form and gained a more black metal, though quite unique sounding that luckily remains repulsive, disturbing, and subconsciously claustrophobicly antihuman, good job, guys.
Thanks for this (seriously) I wasn’t really repulsed as I was confused. I didn’t understand how it could be so iconic when it was just “blah” to me. There have been songs that people recommended that we were legit repulsed by, we just didn’t publish the video. Thanks for the breakdown big homie !
Good essay and saying it like it is. Mayhem is certainly not for everyone. I'd keep to more musically aesthetic Black Metal if you really want to delve further into that genre. Two great examples for that: Emperor - An Elegy of Icaros (live) Dark Fortress - As the World keels over
Hellhammer, the guy who wrote the song, has stated that the intent of Freeing Moon is to make the listener kill themselves. The lyrics in particular are supposed to be a persuasion or a call to do such. That's why the song is so "hypnotic" but in a very long and depressing way. So there you go.
It was Hellhammer who said on an interview that Dead wrote the lyrics of "Freezing Moon" in order to create the the listener a suicidal tendencies or the act to kill themselves. Obviously, it does not work that way. Dead was about 19 or 20s, very young unexperienced person with lots of insecurities, psycological problems and maybe living on too much fantasies. But to my point of view, good song for a person of his age.

Such an important song. Especially this version with Dead on vocals. Never cared much about the drama surrounding the scene in Norway back then, but I love the music that came out of it. It’s not meant to be easy on the ears but to get an atmosphere across that is maybe to hard to get into for a casual listener. It was an elitist thing. I went through a lot more ‘better produced’ accessible type stuff before bands like Darkthrone and mayhem appealed to me. Nowadays I can discover a band every month because of the important, gritty gateway bands from Norway that helped me expand my musical horizon.
The whole idea of black metal isn't production. Although I feel Dead's version of Freezing Moon is quite good. If ye can't feel the atmospheric nature of Mayhem then don't listen to black metal.
I disagree heavily with this, one can not like Mayhem but think Bathory is great and vice versa. It'd be like saying if you dont like Black Sabbath then dont listen to Metal, one artist isnt a catch-all.
Varg doesn't play bass on this version. He played on the album version of this song from De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas, which would probably prove to be a more audibly pleasing version for you two.
Zephirous You're right, he's a proponent of Heathenery. Essentially the current form of Neo-Nazism. Varg's ideology is most comparative to Richard Walther Darré's, of whom was a high ranking Nazi official, lmao.
Dead wrote that song. LOL dead will always be better. He wrote mayhems two best songs didn’t care and offed himself. Mayhem has been chasing that essence ever since. Try sniffing roadkill I hear that helps
I love how they don't get it. There is a reason why it felt like forever. He opened eternity. You don't get black metal it's because your human. Freezing Moon is a masterpiece meant for demon ears.
Hi I love your reaction Videos. I see you noticed a big contrast between Dimmu Borgir and Mayhem. The second Wave of Black Metal which those bands belong to can be placed in to two sub categories in their style. There is "Symphonic Black Metal" which Dimmu Burgier and Emperor fall in to. And there is "True Black Metal" which Mayhem and Darkthrone fall in to. I personally love both of these categories. But I have to mention that I fell in love with symphonic black metal the first time I heard it. This was not the case for true black metal. I did not like it the firs time or even the second time I heard it. For me it turned out that true black metal was a acquired taste which I have grown to live over the years and I know that this is the case for many fans of this style. I and certainly many fans of the genre can understand that this was a very different experience for you after listening to Dimmu Borgir.
Some True Black Metal which would be easier to like is a band called Immortal. Immortal "Tragedies Blows At Horizom" is a great song by Immortal to get in to true Black Metal. Darthrone Quintessence is another true black metal song which is easier to like musically.
I like this version, but I guess the version from the album "De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas" would be a bit more accessible to people since it has better quality, check out their songs "Life Eternal", "Pagan Fears" or "Buried by Time and Dust". And yes this is an iconic song, and it's great. It's not for all and that's a good thing.
David Asthar :v u ridiculous trve deepshit xD "it is not far all and that's a good thing"... such an unique and special unicorn who feels br00tal and sádicamente just because he listens some "not for all" music. Grow up, deepshit.
huh, how come? correct me if I'm wrong but this song and this version in particular are not at all accessible, Vin and Sori clearly didn't like this at all, and the majority of people would react the same way they did if not worse. So we can agree that this is "not for all". But if you read a little bit and inform yourself about Mayhem and the whole black metal scene in Norway at that time then you will come to know that they intended it to be that way, that was the whole point, making music that is not accessible and not mainstream, therefore in my opinion "that's a good thing".
So another comment about music yes: Black metal from the earlier days (Hint: Before even most of Ihsahn's work with Emperor even) was very anti-music: it was supposed to sound awful and repetitive and drowning because it's supposed to be immersive taking queues from things like electronic music in some cases (Varg specifically quoted EDM as a big influence on him) and also purposefully being "anti-technical" which is where the early Death Metal and Thrash at the time was heading towards really intricate and technically proficient playing in the most aggressive way possible. So yeah it is really, really difficult for most people to get what they're going for when they go out of their way in production, repetitiveness and even the sound itself to be the most awful experience possible (see Burzum's Key to the gate and be prepared to be wtf is this).
The vocalist - Dead when he was 13 years old had a near death experience, he was clinicly dead and he remember things during clinicly dead. When he join mayhem in 1988 he written a Freezing Moon. The song is report ( to me) from being clinicly dead.
Yeah sure, he had more experiencies with death and this fascinated him in his whole life. I think that's why he committed suicide: he wanted to come back there.
Dead didn’t just “have an obsession with death” just because. He had a near death experience as a kid and was convinced he did die and life was just a dream. That’s the short of it. He was definitely traumatized by it
Oh man this is painful to watch...so tone deaf. From just getting facts/information and dates blatantly wrong to just not getting it it, was hard to watch. Kept wishing i could just reach through the screen and hand them propper info/explanation
And yes. Hellhammer is one of the most amazing drummers in metal. You can hear his style instantly. He elevated Dimmu borgir to a whole new level when he was in the band.
I'm sorry to say... Euronymous was the lead guitarist, not a vocalist. Dead was the vocalist while Euronymous played guitar. But he actually got stabbed tho.

The guitars heard on this album (DMDS) is from Euronymous. Varg's bass is on this album. And yes, this performance has the classic line-up.
yeah you are right in terms of the official LP version but my comment was about this specific version :) and the back story :D
Varg wasn't the bassplayer on this version. He did bass for the album when Attila did the vocals. This is Necrobutcher playing the bass on this version.
right you are correct because this version has dead so nerco is still in the band varg came later
I really admire your open mindedness towards music and the various communities. This song to me is less about the lyrics and more about the very primal feeling. Dead’s voice cuts through the mix and I feel it physically, I find the delivery of this song very cool and haunting. When flat earthers try to explain the universe.

''is there an hd version?''
yes this is the good version, with pelle!
Pelle is eternal 🤘🏻
Also this is the original version of freezing moon with deads vocals which I think is better.
Euronymous (the stabbed) played guitar on that album not vocals. Varg (the stabber) played bass on this album as a session musician. There's also a version with Dead (committed suicide with a shotgun) recording the vocals who wrote the lyrics which you are listening to. On the Dead recording I think it wasn't Varg on bass tho
Try Mayhem's Life Eternal. The lyrics to that were part of Dead's suicide note
With regards to your reaction, the intent of this song was written for people to commit suicide to (which the vocalist actually did).

Couldn't agree more.

You guys never listened to any of the bands from the Inner Circle/Helvete scene - Darkthrone, Burzum, Mayhem - they're the most important ones.

On the real though, I love playing this song on drumbs
*The unholy growing
ah, oldschool black metal
U play rainbow??
I love how the caption was [applause] instead of [music] in some places
RIP Dead ❤️
👏
Edited as I dishonorably forgot to mention Enslaved in the cohort of Emperor, Immortal, and Satyricon. Bad!

Dead and Necrobutcher wrote the song
It was Hellhammer who said on an interview that Dead wrote the lyrics of "Freezing Moon" in order to create the the listener a suicidal tendencies or the act to kill themselves. Obviously, it does not work that way. Dead was about 19 or 20s, very young unexperienced person with lots of insecurities, psycological problems and maybe living on too much fantasies.

Imagine varg watching them hearing this it would be quite interesting since he’s a ultra European nationalist and this couple cripples his beliefs.
He is not a nationalist , he defends the European people and their traditions , not the nations.
@@joaofernandes2827 Don't try to explain it to him. He won't get it.
@@evans2267 Good point.
@@joaofernandes2827exactly if he was a nationalist he wouldn’t of been in france
I love how they don't get it. There is a reason why it felt like forever. He opened eternity. You don't get black metal it's because your human. Freezing Moon is a masterpiece meant for demon ears.
Thanks for all the compliments. It's better when people hate black metal, makes it more special \m/
This is the best version.
@@wetraccoon99 this is dead on vocals
@@OrangeFre No, is Atila's vocie

Dismal Euphony - An Autumn Leaf In The Circles Of Time
Hi I love your reaction Videos.
I second the motion for some Immortal. ruclips.net/video/UQrCIYBJ6eM/видео.html Live show, good quality.
Dimmu Boring were more interested in money than being true black metal.
I love all of it as long as it's dark and satanic I'm a happy guy
You're suppose to revel in the anxiety with this type of music.
Lol, am wearing a Mayhem T-shirt right now !
lol me too.
Wow! I've never heard the Dead version of this song, so fucking visceral! So fucking good!
Dead didn’t just “have an obsession with death” just because. He had a near death experience as a kid and was convinced he did die and life was just a dream. That’s the short of it. He was definitely traumatized by it
Dimmu Borgir over Mayhem?
Pahahaha!
Lol Mayhem reviewed thus review xD
I know right
Oh man this is painful to watch...so tone deaf.
