You understood Watain better than a lot of so called metalheads my friend, this video was pretty interesting to watch. Here's a little thing about Erik, there's no doubt he's real and not playing a character like a lot of people do in the metal scene. He said it in so many interviews that Watain is basically an instrument of their gods and that he just opens his mouth for the gods to speak through him. Me personally have a lot of respect for Erik and Watain itself, had the pleasure to meet him a few times, amazing/ intelligent guy in real life. **To The Death And Far Beyond**
I'm sure he's interested, again he mentioned that he rather to have an interview with a believer as they understand the concept of what Watain is into, than all these random people interviewing him and asking him about all these stuff. Umm maybe try and find their agents and book an interview?
lol. I love this statement so much... "so called metalheads" yadda yadda....wonder who you think you are yourself? Do you think you are better than others? Well, good for you. I myself do not really like Watain, as they picked up on something what went wrong thanks to media and built up the career on it. The history of black metal was never aligned to satanism. So, what are today's black metal bands (incl. Watain) is nothing what the idea was about, and calling something pose or a real thing is obsolete considering the genre itself. Satanism or his gods or whatever Erik says are his believes and only his believes (he said that so many times in so many inteviews, you certainly know it) and it has nothing to do with the genre itself again. Therefor judging if he is or not the real thing in comparing to other bands is not the valid point then. Many people don't consider it and goes all righteous such as you with your statement. Vin here is also ignoring it, but he is not claiming to understand all at least ;)
The symbol used is the crux tridentes. The upper portion is a trident. The three points refer to past, present and future and the ability to control them (a lot of satanism is about control. Whether of outside elements in a lot of theistic satanism, or the self in atheistic satanism). The lower part is just a cross. Not inverted or anything. It's just a cross. Used as a spiritual sign and a symbol of the destruction of the ego or self.
Ourobori This is from their DVD, Erik explains what the symbol means “The central symbol of Watain is the Crux Tridantes which is divided in two parts. The upper part is the trident, tridantes in Latin meaning three teeth; it is a weapon that in religious lore represents destructive power of divine nature. Whose three spears often refer to past, present and future and the power to control them. It is the dreaded weapon of Shiva’s destructive aspect Rudra, the Olympian god of the sea Neptune, the equious of South American black magic. The mentioned Gods in themselves aren’t always the relevant factor, but rather the divine virtue of their weapon. In shape the trident also resembles the letter W, which of course, is the letter of Watain. It also represents the two horns of the Baphomet, between which the black flame of illumination burns. The lower part of our symbol is constituted by the cross. The cross as a sign of both spiritual transcendence but also the sacrifice of the ego that the path of Satanism means. The cross, the crossing of two lines also corresponds with death and the black work. Finally, this cross is also an X and the three spears on the top the number three, which gives us the number thirteen in Roman letters which, of course, is the number of death.”
Matthew Castillo Yeah. They've attributed some of their own meaning to it and included gods/spiritual entities from other religions into the meaning of the symbol. The meaning I provided for the symbol was the initial on, which holds a lot of parallels with Watains more recent alterations to it (the ego etc).
Some of my black metal recommendations for new listeners are: Burzum- Jesus Tod or Dunkelheit Emperor- I am the Black Wizards Mayhem- Freezing Moon Bathory- A Fine Day to Die
side note..you would be supprised that people in all these blackmetal bands are really just genuine people that happen to enjoy the style and concepts of the music.. they work jobs, have family and are generally just good people..
Agreed. I love this shit, and I work in the care. I'd not mind me being in my own care, but then again, i just think my body is gonna rot after i die. And that my mind will reset to the state it was in before i was born. No biggie, it's just death. It happens to everyone. I took care of my first corpse at 16. Cleaning, redressing and driving to the cool room. What's important is what happens to people when they are still alive. If i could not work in the care, i'd so be something similar to to the lead singer in Waitan. Love all about it. Getting into that state of realease is similar to orgasm if done good. It's a mix of death hate and anger. It's ecstacy and it's a wonderful release to have. I think its human at it's core. It's sound. Also it's just music with some extras on it. Like the bits that pop culture leaves out blank, as not being part of humanity for some reason. Hate is a part of being human.
I love you guys. The open mind is pure beauty and a breath of fresh air. Continue to do what you do. Just because we might not have the same belief doesn't mean we cannot have dialogue. Much love free thinkers. P.S. please do Allegaeon - 1.618!!!! And or, Hypocrisy - Fire In The Sky!?
Really awesome to see this. Glad Vin enjoyed the song, Watain are great. Hope to see you guys tackle Waters of Ain for the next Watain song. Also yes, this is black metal. Regarding some things discussed: Watain are legit. Erik Danielsson, the vocalist/lyricist is legit. These guys are legitimate theistic Satanists of the anti-cosmic/chaos gnosticism "denomination". Malfeitor likely means something like "Evildoer" "The master and servant in unity" This song is very much about performing the works of the devil, thus the servant attains unity through performing works, becoming malfeitor as the master. Also yes, having a knowledge of Kabbalah, the Sephirot, and it's dark side, the Qliphoth, are very valuable in understanding theistic Satanism.
Yes, they legitimately do believe in, and worship, a metaphysical entity referred to as Satan. Their Satan is not merely a symbol of rebellion, but a metaphysical being, with a multitude of manifestations, and emanations, which is perhaps more easily identified as "chaos". Chaos gnosticism, and anti-cosmic Satanism are two names for the same thing, wherein it's a form of Satanism that ultimately desires the end of the the very fabric of order and the cosmos itself, reverting all existence to Ain, nothingness. Satan as a being itself is only one piece of the puzzle, as many, many, ancient beings are invoked through explorations of the qliphoth, and Sitra Ahra.
All that Jazz the Current 218 is heavily inspired by Christian Gnosticism, YHWH is considered to be the Demiurge. It's pretty much an agglomeration of Gnosticism, Kabbalah, and Satanism.
Now try Dissection. Albums: Storm of the Light's Bane (amazing musically) and Reinkaos (that album will give you material for lyric-analysis for months)
I've been to three Watain shows so far, and the blood Erik throws out into the crowds is definitely real. Some fans that become "disciples," will sometimes even be the ones to bring them blood from butcher shops. Watain is also known for having rotting animal heads on inverted crosses onstage, and having a disgusting stench during their performances. Rumors have it that they used to not shower while on tour at all, which means they were caked in animal blood for days. Erik also does these ritualistic things onstage, and does this whole closing of the ritual type of thing at the end of the set. I've not met any of the other members, but Erik was nice to me both times I met him. I also believe Watain are one of the best bands to see live.
Now remind you that Christianity came through and tried to wipe these countries clean of thier "Nordic" beliefs..They are not forgiving for the fact that also thier monuments and such were destroyed..If you need to believe it..Research further..Hence the hatred..Norway and sweden exclusively have made this because of what happened to thier ancestors...
Finland and Denmark got their fair share of forced christianity as well. In Finland, there's a "lake of regret" where the locals would dip to clean themselves of christianity everytime after the "crusaders" came and converted them with force.
While that is true for many black metal bands, it is not the same for Watain. Their hate is more spiritual in nature and doesn’t really have anything to do with geopolitics or injustices.
I have seen Watain live three times and they are theatrical, and sometimes looked down upon for not being "underground" enough, but they are no joke. They had rotting lambs's heads impaled on spikes and the smell clung to my clothes for hours after the show was over.
Yes, real blood and smells, 100%. Also much of the audience are also real deal Satanist that believe. At the show I was at I saw people of all ages and backgrounds. It was something else .
I saw Watain live and there was actual severed animal heads on stage. It smelled like a butcher shop. Also there was legit bones all over. Best show I’ve ever been to. Watch their music video Nuclear Alchemy, then watch the live/lyric video for Stellarvore
The crossroads is also a powerful magical symbol in a lot of religions. Especially in Greek and Roman paganism where Hekate or Trivia is the goddess of crossroads but also the main god of all magic and witches. So when afterwards people in occult reference the crossroads, it means magical powers. And Malfeitor isn't a specific word, but it is pseudo-latin for evil-doer
Armagedda (Sweden ,My contry) The song "Döden styr livet" ( Death controls life ) The day is never light The night is never dark The sun shines all the weaker and weaker Death controls life Evil is over goodness Worry stands for joy The sun never shines strong Death controls life All living was lost The cold is forever Frost has its grip When the sun has gone away And death is the only life God's unwanted souls Do not be happy Hat is power against all light The throne of heaven will be overthrown It is the evil that remains The cold is forever Frost has its grip When the sun has gone away And when death only controls it Life. God's unwanted souls School no good please. Hatred are power against all light. Sky- The king's thron school is overtaken. When The day is never light. When The night is never dark. When The sun has cooled down. And when Death controls life
Well ACTUALLY this is....yeah no this is black metal. This was an absolutely fascinating discussion for me as there was a lot of information you presented that I did not know. I'm beginning to think that I really need to dig into Kabbalah. It sounds to me like I'd be fascinated by it. This type of black metal, musically, has never really been my thing but that outro was really, really cool. I've said it before and I'll say it again: MOST. ADORABLE. COUPLE. ON. RUclips. Seriously. You two are a pleasure to watch! Much love guys! -Jason
You should check out the band Dissection which Watain is inspired by theologically. The singer and lead guitarist of Dissection Jon Nödtveidt was a member of the satanic cult the Misanthropic Luciferian Order (later renamed The Temple of Black Light). Nödtveidt and another man named Vlad performed a human sacrifice of a man, Josef ben Meddour in Keillers Park, Göteborg. Nödtveidt spent his time in jail writing Dissections third album. After being released from prison and releasing the third album and touring Nödtveidt took his own life in another ritual. Some time before his suicide he said this in an interview: "The Satanist decides over his own life and death and prefers to go with a smile on his lips when he has reached his peak in life, when he has accomplished everything, and aim to transcend this earthly existence. But it is completely un-Satanic to end ones own life because one is sad or miserable. The Satanist dies strong, not by age, disease or depression, and he chooses death before dishonor! Death is the orgasm of life! So live life accordingly, as intense as possible!"
Ok, I always heard they meant it as a human sacrifice, but that it didn't quite work out the way they wanted when the taser didn't work. I just went from memory when I wrote it down. Seems a bit unclear according to the sources for Wikipedia's article: "The motives of the murder were not made clear during the trial. Was it a satanic crime, one of the human sacrifices that the MLO members had talked about? Or was it rather a hate crime, motivated by the anger Nödtveidt and Vlad had felt when confronted with Meddour's personality? According to criminal inspector Lars Ohlin, who led the police investigation, there is no denying that Nödtveidt and Vlad's acts were made on a background of Satanism, but homophobia was also a clear factor, and the Keillers Park murder was registered as a hate crime by the Swedish police.[sr 14] On 6 July 1998, Nödtveidt was sentenced by the Göteborg district court to eight years of prison for assistance to murder and illegal possession of a firearm. Vlad was sentenced to ten years for murder, violence against his girlfriend, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of body parts. All three parties appealed to the verdict.[lo 13]" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keillers_Park_murder
Interesting as always! I often get a very H.P Lovecraftian wibe from Watain songs and mixing that stuff with biblical stuff makes for a good ride into the abyss. Perfect to listen to when cleaning the house or doing the dishes! :) Their live performances has a genuine danger to them that is often missing in other ”satanic” bands. I would love to hear what you have to say about Devils Blood - The yonder beckons. That song is co-written with the lead singer of Watain but the band has a very different musical style. Keep ’em coming!
I've recommended this song before, this exact song. Except I don't think it fits Black Fire because the way the conflict resolves...without spoilers...just going to say I don't think it's intended as anti-Christian, or even anti-anything really.
Have to say as a die hard Black Metal fan with a Catholic background that has turned to a disgust of it and shaped me today to follow a Luciferian/Satanic mindset .... you guys are amazing. Your open mindedness and appreciation of our music is admirable. Plus.... even as a follower of the left hand path - you are both adorable :-) Keep it up guys. Great channel - love it. And Vin's knowledge is awe inspiring
Grew up listening to black metal. My friends listen to black metal. and all of them are great guys. Never had any issues with any of them. If you happen to be meeting only toxic people, perhaps you should look at yourself.
Piyush, no worries. Immortal, "I", and Abbath are all bands I dearly love. I would like to see Vin and Sori check out one of their songs out. I think it does belong in the Black Fire show, 100%, but more because of their sound than their lyricism.
As an atheistic Satanist, I really appreciate your open mindedness and good nature. Seriously, the fact that you can put the imagery aside and just deal with music as art is very refreshing. And at the end of the day, religion is not that important when it comes to interacting with each other. Respect that is freely given is freely reciprocated. So, hails to you!
@@anfie2495 it’s nontheistic satanism. They basically call themselves ‘satanists’ because it sounds cool. They use him as a figure but don’t worship him, it’s stupid, really.
@@katyaoleynik Extremely stupid. If they think he is fictional, it would be equivalent to The Elder Scrolls fans like myself making a real world identity out of one of the in-game religions. I don't do that, of course, that would be insane. If they think it is fictional, they are applying that same logic. Unbeknownst to them it is all 100% real, and if you are a fan of TES, the character equivalent of Satan is Molag Bal. Terrible idea. The in-game deities are based on real theological characters, whom are indeed real beings, but nothing like what everyone including the guys of Watain have been told by their asshole friends. Wait until you find out it's a longstanding war between extraterrestrials.... hahahahahaha Fuck around and find out, but getting beam me up scottied is most unpleasant.
Here in scandinavia the church buildt there houses off worship right over the old temples that were in use for Odin etc soo there is alot off warpt ”hate” confused with nationlisim and a sence off forced religion
I’ve spent a lot of time with Watain over the years when they’re in town and shall be seeing them again soon. After all these years I still have deep respect for them. They aren’t Behemoth or Ghost yet ironically Erik designed the Ghost logo and all those bands are aquatinted, Watain is on a whole other level. This is not an act at all. They go out of their way to shut out society because they don’t need it. They worship death and I’ve brought them blood and lambs heads happily for their rituals onstage. I highly suggest going to see them on their upcoming tour and reviewing their new song The Howling. Just remember, Beware!
Emperor - Ye Entrancemperium Emperor - Inno A Satana Dissection - Night's Blood Dissection - Somberlain Burzum - My Journey To The Stars Burzum - Dunkelheit Immortal - Pure Holocaust Immortal - At The Heart Of Winter Gorgoroth - Incipit Satan Watain - Stellarvore Bathory - Call From The Grave Darkthrone - Quintessence Darkthrone - En Vind Av Sorg Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger Old Man's Child - God Of Impiety Ulver - Capitel I: I Trolskog Faren Mayhem - Freezing Moon Mayhem - Funeral Fog
My personal beginner recommendation: 1. -Bathory - Necromancy / Raise the Dead 2. -Burzum - Jesus Dod / Dunkelheit 3. -Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger 4. -Watain - Malfeitor / Stellarvore
You should do Devils Blood, R.I.P. Selim Lemouchi, he was a band mate and close friend of Watains lead singer, Erik Danielsson. They're occult rock, groovier, and the lead singer is Selims sister, Farida "The Mouth of Satan" Lemouchi. Try them out in your free time or whenever, thank you for these reactions, I'm learning a lot. Devils Blood - House of 10,000 Voices Devils Blood - Voodoo Dust
This band laid waste to Bloodstock and it was amazing to just be there and soak up the genuine darkness in the music. I'm not religious, but was raised Church of England. I find these ideas very interesting.
Just finished watching the entire video and I think this one may be my favorite so far. And yeah... if this isn't black metal then I don't know what is. So I think you're good. Also, seriously, Waters of Ain and/or Stellarvore. My two fave Watan songs and I think you two will definitely enjoy them. Lawless Darkness is also a good song but it's instrumental. Insanely good, but without lyrics it's probably not video material.
No, Thank you. It was a great video. Also I'd like to add They Rode On to the list of Watain songs you two need to listen to. It's a beautiful song unlike any black metal song you would expect.
This is insanely interesting. One great breakdown of the song and band. Its so cool listening to religious people talking about black metal. I've never seen anything like it. Usually its just "Oh well nevermind its the devils work we dont dabble in that". Vin and Sori if you're interested in breaking down some more satanic songs and personality, try Niklas Kvarforth from the band Shining. Im sure he has a lot of material.
Id say you need too give Hymn to Qayin "Qayin=Cain" or Four Thrones by Watain a listen. The symbol they lit up was the crux tridentis a logo of watain that holds esoteric meaning. And yes watain are 100% for real into anti cosmic satanism or chaos gnosticism
An interesting thing about some of the serious black metal bands is how they focus their intent; with pure emotion (while performing). It's a way to cast a spell (like Psychic-Vampirism; where they simultaneously intake the crowd's energy). One such band is Demoncy. They are very underground. That singer has done a couple of interviews that show his serious, dark nature.
*55:19* bless you Sori!. Finally finished the reaction. I learn something new ever day from you guys in your videos. Best reaction channel and couple on RUclips. Oh yeah ICED EARTH - Dante's Inferno. I will not stop until I see the thumb nail of you guys reacting to it lol
+1 to that. *Dante's Inferno* needs to happen. With Barlow on vocals (I do like the re-recording with Stu, but the original just trumps it). Alive in Athens version would be fine, too.
Oh that was a pleasure. Honestly every video you do is a pleasure for me and I stay until the end because your analysis and discussions are keeping in me interrested. How am I was surprised to see the Watain reaction today because I was choosing the song from them to ask you to react in the comments on my way to work today. I have chosen was a Waters of Ain (my favorite one, although not the one from true anti-christian or satanic songs). You guys are doing HELL of a good job! Thanks for todays honest reaction, analysis, discussions and humor of course! Luv you guys, do more black metal reactions please.
I' ve reached the part were you guys said that God is present and taking care of these people. That' s very interesting because Watain had a show on a local called Colectiv. They had flames and stuff. Behemoth also had a show in this location with flames. Nothing happened. That until a local band had a show and from a spark, the place burned and killed 64 kids including all band members except one. And the band wasn't even a satanic one. I guess his are mysterious ways...
Pls do more Watain, they are simply amazing! A true journey through darkness, full of meaning musically and lyrically, mainly for those who follow the Left-Hand-Path.
I'm amazed at the love and patience of Jesus. I hated God too and He still saved me. I think you're right about the "yard from hell" kind of statement about God being more present at this kind of an event. Praying for you guys for continued clarity since music is a powerful medium.
You must listen to Dissection (any of the Reinkaos album, which was inspired in what is the Left Hand Path satanic cult) !! That's pre-Watain black metal. Sounds completely different so much more melodic yet heavy as fudge! Love your videos. Much love from Mexico to you both!
Seriously Watain before Dark Funeral, LOL. Vatain is a great band but can i get a thumbs up for Dark Funeral "My Funeral" video + lyrics. I really think that you guys will enjoy that song. If you have already done it i'm sorry.
Dark Funeral have been around a while, but they aren't exactly a good band. Watain's first 3 albums are easily superior to anything Dark Funeral ever did.
Not doubting that, even 1349 are better than dark funeral but its just the song "My Funeral" that is interesting to me and especially the D'F with Caligula.
This is my favorite song from this band. Never knew you guys did a review on this one. But Watain is just one of those special treats of horror, especially if you want to scare the crap out people just for laughs. As a fan of black metal music for years. This band is nothing new to me. But I do like what they do & they are pretty much the Slipknot of Black Metal.
Update: Oh boy, I forgot about this comment. I no longer love Watain. I’ve recommitted my life to Christ, and this type of music (lyrically) didn’t make the cut. Original Comment: I ****ing love Watain. I'm also a Christian, but I love the dark, sinister sound of their music and I'm a huge fan of Lovecraft and their music has that atmosphere of cosmic horror to me. Some of their lyrics are a bit hard to swallow as a Christian, but most of it is very well-written and poetic. I think the album Sworn to the Dark is a masterpiece.
As a sort-of Christian (I'm Gnostic), I love Watain musically of course, I adore black metal, but I actually study their lyrics for insight on what their alien pals are up to. It's funny and sad how they've fooled humans into believing they're gods, but getting back to my point, Their music is a fantastic and reliable resource for my research on ETs and putting the pieces together. As is quite evident, they're jerks. 50% sure Watain's ET friends are Draconians from Thuban (hence Satan being identified as a dragon), 50% they're Anunnaki from Nibiru, because I don't remember which song exactly but he mentions Ea, whom is a Nibiran, and they display many of his symbols - trident, serpent, etc. I can't be 100% at this point. I'm working on it. Probably worse than these guys though is an individual from Alnitak Orion named Ashtar Sheran. That guy according to my research is a monster, and is responsible for much of the horrors unfolding before us and the paradigm of the darkest path (dude that's metal af) this could lead humanity. Keep an eye out for him, he's extremely dangerous and threatening a direct contact invasion.
@@anfie2495 If Watain speaks to you on this subconcious level, you are on the wrong path. RHP doesnt have true followers and fans of WATAIN, because they know its a ritual much more than a live "show". So I will see you both when you find the path and your real truth.
In hindsight, I was in a spiritually sick place in my life when I wrote this. I respect what Watain have done musically, but I do not listen to them anymore. I still enjoy the style of black metal, but I wouldn’t knowingly listen to something blasphemous anymore. I put music and many other things before Yahweh. Now that I’ve surrendered to Him, I don’t need this stuff anymore. I never did. There is plenty to enjoy out there without compromising our walk with Christ.
Now that you guys enter into the black metal genre, please, listen to Summoning - Caradhras. It's atmospheric black metal and probably not what you think! xD
I saw them live some months ago and it was the best live show I've ever been to! And yes, it is real blood but fermented pigs blood. I was in the 2nd row and got blood splattered all over my self but it felt... I don't know how to describe it other than suiting to the show? 10/10 can't wait to see them again! \m/
Great video, as always! According to the vocalist of Watain, the Trident symbol is a combination of things. It has the cross, which is a symbol of sacrifice and the death of the ego that the Satanist makes. The Trident, or pitchfork, represents both the instrument of destruction that was used in the slaying of gods in various mythologies, but it also represents the horns of the Baphomet and the light of illumination in the middle. The cross makes an X, and the Trident is III, and when combined, you get XIII, the number of Death. Check out Nightbringer sometime! More "spiritual" Satanism than Watain and less gimmicky. Nightbringer seriously sounds like pure evil.
YESSS! THE ALMIGHTY WATAIN! This video is from their DVD "Opus Diaboli", in which he explains a lot about the band itself. Everything they use on stage - the tridents and all that - they make all of this themselves. Their show is more like a ritual, which Erik (the vocalist) opens and then closes on the end. Also, Erik claims to be actually possessed on stage, and the voice we hear is the voice of the demon that abides in him. He kinda enters a trance on stage, and he was once questioned about remembering the stuff he sees on the shows and tours and etc, and his reply was: "I still remember pretty much everything. The day I come back from a tour and realize I can't remeber anything that happened on stage, is the day I will know I have fulfilled a great part of my path". I LOVE WATAIN! And cheers to you guys from Brazil, I love the channel!
Yeah Watain sure has hell knows how to captivate their audience and make a good show. I've seen them a couple of times at festivals and it was always a blast. Musically they are one of the best black metal bands currently out there, in my opinion. If you two are thinking of doing another song by them I would recommend 'Stellarvore'.
No, Vin is right. There are a lot of black metal bands that just write repetitive tremolo picked phrygian riffs. Not every band can be Mgla or Thantifaxath or whatever, and thats ok.
I'm sorry but you don't listen to enough black metal then. Go listen to drudkh and then almyrkvi and tell me there isn't diversity. Black metal has evolved past tremelo picking and blast beats.
Havok Mgla always trem picks man. I don't find them that original. Are you a soba member on facebook. If not look up secrets of the black arts and join. In that group we don't discuss the basic black metal like everyone else we listen to more then the run of the mill stuff
there is a lot of diversity in BLack Metal... from Deathspell Omega over guys like Watain here, to the whole 90s scandinavic scene, to the new icelandic or east european (Poland alone has so many different sounding bands, besides the obvious like Behemoth... Blaze of Perdition, Furia, Mord'a'stigmata, Outre, Daravaza, Thaw, Infernal War, Kriegsmaschine, I could go on and onscene today)... Greek Black Metal Bands like Rotting Christ, Thy Darkened Shade (they are a whole lot more complex than just tremolo picking, they go the fret board up and down), Acherontas, etc. ... then you have dsbm or pagan influenced black metal like silencer, thy light, drudkh, Nagelfar, Saor... lots of musical and lyrical diversity!
Thanx Vin and Sori for interesting reaction and analysis! WATAIN- Swedish DARK FUNERAL- Swedish DISMEMBER- Swedish ARCH ENEMY- Swedish AT THE GATES- Swedish ENTOMBED- Swedish MESHUGGAH- Swedish GHOST- Swedish ABBA- Swedish ALFRED NOBEL- Swedish...
Hi Vin and Sori. First, pardon for my bad english. Interesting to see (and hear) your reactions and opinions to black metal. So, i would like to suggest two songs from the more 'gloomier' and less mass appealing side. First one is Emperor 'In Longing Spirit', a very interesting and often overlooked piece of music. The second one is Ondskapt 'Djävulens Ande' (or as an alternative their song 'Witch'). These suggestions do have quite a lot of a sinister atmosphere and are - in my opinion - very fascinating. Because most live versions of black metal bands to be found on YT are not very good, the album versions of these songs should be preferred. :)
You and i would get along well i think. Emperor is my all time favorite black metal band but Ondskapt is my favorite for the last couple of years. So sinister.
Hi Adam, I'm always searching for black and death metal bands/projects, that stand out from the more 'generic' stuff. Unfortunately, most reaction channels with decent quality always seem to pick the suggestions with the most likes (well, i can't blame them for that, of course., they'll do that because of a reason, so i'm fine with that). But it would be interesting to experience what people think of the more eerie side of black and death metal. And yes, Ondskapt i discovered through the YT recommendations. That band instantly caught my attention, as Emperor did it in the past. Or Darkened Nocturn Slaughtercult (especially with 'Necrocosmic Vision').
Vin and Sori - new subscriber here and recently binge watched almost all of your reaction vids. Whoever suggested Watain (pronounced Wuh-tane, btw) was correct: Watain IS black metal. And the song is pronounced Mal-fay-tor, also btw. And as far as Satanism goes, these guys are the real deal. Eric Danielsson, the vocalist, has an extensive history of being open about his religious views and in my opinion, has as an equally in-depth knowledge of Satanism as Vin does of Christianity. And it's REAL Satanism, not the teeny bopper who spray paints pentagrams and upside down crosses (neither of which are Satanic symbols) in abandoned houses nonsense. Just as you would enjoy an open discussion with Nergal (another musician who 'gets' it), you'd enjoy a conversation with Eric. When you have some free time, look on RUclips for "Opus Diaboli" the concert DVD that this video was taken from. In between songs, Eric shares a lot of thoughts and philosophies that are deeply in line with what I call REAL Satanism. It would, at the very least, give you some more perspective into Watain and their brand of black metal. I'm typing this from my phone, so please excuse any typos. Also, when you react to bands like Deicide, I can fill you in on all sorts of factoids about those bands for when you.make your next video. I've been listening to this stuff since I was 13, so... Anyway, even though I come from a completely different religious viewpoint, similar to Nergal and Eric's, I love your channel so far as the both of you are educated and aren't afraid to hear things that may disagree with your sensibilities. I do tend to watch the videos all the way to the end, and I often come away with a different perspective or different way to approach critical thinking almost every time. Keep up the great work.
theferaldays I am always on the hunt too. I find alot of good black metal out there but on occasions i find a gem like Ondskapt that has a beckoning darkness i cant ignore. It just draws me in. I cant get enough of it. Oh. And by the way, your english is better than most full time english speakers.
I can't get enough of your black metal break downs, it's so fascinating hearing the meaning behind the lyrics. Thanks again for another great video and it's awesome to see you guys getting all this attention and subscribers, well deserved. Hope to see you guys cover Mgla on one of these Blackfire shows. They aren't the typical black metal bands in lyrical content but still one of the best out there.
The symbol was based on the Horns of the black baphamet and the black candle in the middle sit and stands . You guys should watch their DVD on that show.
watain true cult black metal aproved.the pitchfork thing is called the black trident or black trinity. the symbol itself means to call forth darkness and destruction over all that stand before you but the version watain is using as their symbol is shorter then it should be so it might indeed be a inverted cross combined with the trident.
The pitchfork is the Crux Tridentis... watch Opus Diaboli... thats where this performance comes from and he talks about the symbol and what it means to them
de profundis will check it out ... this trident due to it being shorter could be a different symbol but I think its largely the same... many symbols can have many meanings to different people
This is one hell of a thorough review! And I sincerely thank you for that. Your point about the symbolism in lyrics is true. I had to search the whole Google and Wiki + read Liber Azerate in order to understand what they're talking about, and this educational process is priceless! That's why I adore both Behemoth and Watain so much. They throw their lyrics at the audience as puzzles to be solved, and the fact that you admit it (despite all the blasphemy happening) makes me pay much respect to your channel and you personally. Thumbs up for open mind and intelligent review 👍
Nice Video guys, you just earned yourself a sub. I like how open minded you deal with this kind of music as christian people. Also like how you explain a lot of the text in a biblical context, very interesting. If you liked the ending part of this song, you should really check out waters of ain from that same album, studio version. Such a beautiful song. Or maybe do a video on it? Would love that. cheers from germany
I've been watching all these christian reactions to my favorite black metal bands and I'm liking them more and more. There are a lot of black metal bands out there whose lyrical content is not satanic at all, some of them have very poetic lyrics as well, you guys should probably check them out. Though the roots of the movement are rebelling against the christian moral black metal has evolved to be so much more nowadays. There are also some christian black metal bands, most of them formed as a response to the attacks against the christian faith. Most of it is old stuff, but it would be interesting to see you guys reacting to it anyway. And btw, Watain is a piece of art, they deserved a better score xD
I don't know, I always felt like Antestor and Crimson Moonlight were pretty solid bands. I get what you mean when I think about Horde though, they're like a Gorgoroth that went wrong.
Ive seen both Antestor and Crimson Moonlight live as well as Watain. All great shows. I was amazed Watain brought as much of their stage setup to the States as they did.
guys I appreciate so much the fact that you guys being christians take the time to go through the concept, background and lyrics of these awesome bands and musicians. It would mean a lot to I think most of your followers to review any "Death" Song. that band is brilliant both sonically and lyrically. greetings from Colombia.
i respect your guys opinion and all but just because Adam Nergal Darski is a "normal" guy off stage that doesn't mean he not a true Satanist. he is a really cool kick back guy and all but he is also a true Satanist. he has denounce god and his teachings. now when it comes to bands like Watain, Gogeroth, Belphagor, and Marduk its more "believable " i guess because of how they conduct themselves on stage and their lyrical content. off stage they may carry themselves with that more open demeanor when it comes to their beliefs. Nergal is just a dude that likes to look good. plain and simple. but trust me they are all on the same page when it comes down with being true Satanists. they stay true to themselves. Other than their music thats an other reason why im a huge fan of those bands.
Ya it wasn’t meant as a diss, it just seems like this guy from watain could be a priest while Nergal would be a devoted follower who goes to church... makes sense ?
I always just thought he was an atheist who hated his Christian upbringing. I know he has a book out probably would be worth a read when I have the time.
VinAnd Sori lol no worries. i know what you meant. i agree in a way with you guys lol. those guys from Watain are on a whole new level. i know they use animal carcasses and blood on set. i went to a BEHEMOTH consert where they performed "The Satanist" in its and its entirety. Orion the bass player took out a crucifix when they were about to perform "Ora por Nubis Lucifer" he had turned the crucifix upside down and spat blood at tge crucifix. lol i was close enough to get blood on me. no lie it was amazing stuff lol
Jason Kramer yeah he did put out a book like i had mentioned befor. its called "confessions of a heretic" its on a Q and A stile book. he (Nergal) has said hes a believer of Thelema.
I've read the book. Nergal states that he doesn't believe in any deities, he doesn't believe in powers of nature superior to men, he doesn't do any rituals. That makes him an atheistic satanist.
I see update video, I click, I like, I watch. Loving the reactions y'all! Keep em comin'! Should check out another Parkway Drive song "Chronos" or "Dark Days". Or check out Miss May I "Porcelain Wings" or "Relentless Chaos"
The audio quality of that video is not that great. That said the visuals make for a cool experience. Malfitor is a good song though not my fave. Waters of Ain, or Stellarvore should be next on your list of their songs. Really good stuff.
I know it's a long song but it's crazy good. Besides this video was almost 1 hour and 10 minutes long. I don't think Vin and sori are shy about video length
Jeremiah H. Good doesn't describe it ... I watch that video all the time ..... it's perfection ... I saw them live a month ago and was hoping they played it but no luck
This music brings me such a discomfort within that I cannot even express in words. This people are definitely possessed by evil force, no question. Happy New year and all the best to all good people on the planet.
I got the chance to see them on a tour with cannibal corpse and Behemoth a few years ago. Watain is incredibly entertaining live. Really beautiful music instrumentaly. They did have real severed goat heads attached to the mic stands. I know they were real because they smelled less than pleasant in the front row of the crowd.
Also, have to add, I did have a chance to meet Erik Danielsson (vocalist) after a show in Colorado Springs a few years back and he was an incredibly grateful and honest person and took pictures and shook hands with everyone who hung around and wanted to chat with him afterwards. He had a pretty incredible presence and it was also very obvious that he was not putting up a show or anything. He was a very spiritual and intense person, and obviously very intelligent. I mean, I think some of the better and more in depth interviews with him show that side and he is very willing to open up if asked the right questions. I don't think there was any front or 'play' happening. It is pretty interesting the commentary you had about Moses and blood, the visceral scent and visual of what is happening. Because that does really tie in with Watain and their live show with blood, animal heads, and incense. It's really interesting listening to your take on it and also your explanation on certain points in the lyrics. I mean, it sheds a lot of light in opposites of all the complexities of what may be happening here.
You guys are awesome as heck I jus got into y'all I love y'all I'm Christian to but I still listen to metal y'all should check out Draconian the morning Star really awesome song I think y'all would like it
they are good very good they rock ... but ive found that as ive gotten older my taste in music has expanded i used to be all about metal and only metal .. but now i listen to all kinds of music genre even 50s and 60s all music now touches me .. accept for one lol im sorry but i just can not get into RAP lol i think when they came up with that name they forgot the letter C in front of it lol and todays is even worse then when i grew up lol todays Rap i feel like i lose IQ points listening to it lol just to give you and idea of when i grew up im 44 going on lets call it 18 lol
michael penna hell yea man they do bro you never to old to rock out or anything same as me to I fucking hate rap with a passion today's rap is absolute garbage I hate it lol I'm only 23 I'm pretty open minded to the genres of metal I listen to all kinds of metal rock to I love older rock music 50's thru 90's but metal has always been my call home lol especially the genre of Draconian that's my all time favorite idk lol but I'm huge fucking fan of Lamb of God there my all fav out of everything ik I'm all messed up with this I hope I'm not confusing confusing you man
Hey y'all! Just discovered this video and I am really enjoying it. I only got through about 20 minutes since I am watching on my lunch break. I am a United Methodist pastor in Texas (guessing the "y'all" gave that away) and I am also a fan of extreme metal. I have seen Watain twice and yes have had blood thrown in my face. I appreciate the open minded critique from the Christian perspective. It is great to get the point of view from fellow Christians on this kind of music. Love the discussion about blood and communion.
React to Waters of Ain (off of the "Opus Diaboli" DVD), please! ! Btw: Not just real blood, the lads tend to put entrails and carcasses on the stage. At Summer Breeze festival there were offical warnings about the smell and sight of those :D
Time for Dissection
Gorgoroth
YES!!!! Black Dragon or Where dead angels lie... or whatever song just do DISSECTION! :D
Where dead Angel's lie live off the rebirth of dissection dvd
helll yesss!! \m/
Tell him we want to talk to him
I'm sure he's interested, again he mentioned that he rather to have an interview with a believer as they understand the concept of what Watain is into, than all these random people interviewing him and asking him about all these stuff. Umm maybe try and find their agents and book an interview?
Direct me to their agents!
I'm sure you can find a contact email on their official website
Ourobori
This is from their DVD, Erik explains what the symbol means
“The central symbol of Watain is the Crux Tridantes which is divided in two parts.
XIII
The destruction of ego? I think you totally misunderstood the meaning.
Some of my black metal recommendations for new listeners are:
Burzum- Jesus Tod or Dunkelheit
Emperor- I am the Black Wizards
Mayhem- Freezing Moon
Bathory- A Fine Day to Die
Finally someone with a good starter list...
I disagree with the bathory pick, 13 Candles or something from requiem would be a better starter I think
And some immortal. Immortal & Bathory got me into black metal almost quickly \m/
Fuck yeah!!! Mayhem and Burzum!!! R.I. H Dead!!!
Dissection-Black Dragon dragon
side note..you would be supprised that people in all these blackmetal bands are really just genuine people that happen to enjoy the style and concepts of the music.. they work jobs, have family and are generally just good people..
That doesn’t surprise me
Some look at the band mayhem
They absolutely need to do Allegaeon. So, so gifted. I'd recommend Gray Matter Mechanics or Proponent for Sentience III: The Extermination.
well the intro to The Extermination is Stephen Hawking......
That album right there was one of the greatest and most consistent black metal masterpieces of recent memory. Watain rules \m/
Really awesome to see this. Glad Vin enjoyed the song, Watain are great. Hope to see you guys tackle Waters of Ain for the next Watain song. Also yes, this is black metal.
Regarding some things discussed:
Watain are legit. Erik Danielsson, the vocalist/lyricist is legit. These guys are legitimate theistic Satanists of the anti-cosmic/chaos gnosticism "denomination".
Malfeitor likely means something like "Evildoer"
"The master and servant in unity" This song is very much about performing the works of the devil, thus the servant attains unity through performing works, becoming malfeitor as the master.
Also yes, having a knowledge of Kabbalah, the Sephirot, and it's dark side, the Qliphoth, are very valuable in understanding theistic Satanism.
So three guys are theistic satanists then?
yes
My fav song a few years already and Im not sick of it yet, please do the dvd version
All that Jazz the Current 218 is heavily inspired by Christian Gnosticism, YHWH is considered to be the Demiurge. It's pretty much an agglomeration of Gnosticism, Kabbalah, and Satanism.
Sori: "My parents did ministry with your people" Vin: "In the jail!" That made my day :P
Hahahahaha !
Lol
Now try Dissection. Albums: Storm of the Light's Bane (amazing musically) and Reinkaos (that album will give you material for lyric-analysis for months)
Vin breaks down the “blasphemous line” at 42:22
I've been to three Watain shows so far, and the blood Erik throws out into the crowds is definitely real.
😂🤡
F yeah swedish black metal legends Watain
Vin Sori.....I have been patiently wating for a Watain reaction video and you answered my prayers.....woohoo
Check out the “ora pro nobis” video
Finland and Denmark got their fair share of forced christianity as well. In Finland, there's a "lake of regret" where the locals would dip to clean themselves of christianity everytime after the "crusaders" came and converted them with force.
Christianity was forced upon whole europe not only the north :) and the "Nordic beliefs" are actually germanic :D
While that is true for many black metal bands, it is not the same for Watain. Their hate is more spiritual in nature and doesn’t really have anything to do with geopolitics or injustices.
@@Roldy16 and slavic. Odin also exist within Slavic paganism, as well as other Norse gods.
I envy you
Dissection God of Forbidden Light or Black Dragon.
I second this! or maha kali, where dead angels lie, nights blood or Unhallowed would be amazing!!!
Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
That is real black metal my dudes.
The album that got me into black metal the atmosphere is perfect
uTa_kun watain is real black metal as well sooo..
uTa_kun legitimately the most poser bullshit suggestion anyone could make.
watain is real bm :)
Chronos would like a word with you
You guys are doing a lot of good.
Armagedda (Sweden ,My contry) The song "Döden styr livet"
( Death controls life )
The day is never light
The night is never dark
The sun shines all the weaker and weaker
Death controls life
Evil is over goodness
Worry stands for joy
The sun never shines strong
Death controls life
All living was lost
The cold is forever
Frost has its grip
When the sun has gone away
And death is the only life
God's unwanted souls
Do not be happy
Hat is power against all light
The throne of heaven will be overthrown
It is the evil that remains
The cold is forever
Frost has its grip
When the sun has gone away
And when death only controls it
Life. God's unwanted souls
School no good please. Hatred
are power against all light. Sky-
The king's thron school is overtaken. When
The day is never light. When
The night is never dark. When
The sun has cooled down. And when
Death controls life
Well ACTUALLY this is....yeah no this is black metal.
-Jason
Outro was great fo shore!
Some time before his suicide he said this in an interview:
"The Satanist decides over his own life and death and prefers to go with a smile on his lips when he has reached his peak in life, when he has accomplished everything, and aim to transcend this earthly existence. But it is completely un-Satanic to end ones own life because one is sad or miserable. The Satanist dies strong, not by age, disease or depression, and he chooses death before dishonor! Death is the orgasm of life! So live life accordingly, as intense as possible!"
Cool, I quit Facebook a while ago though so I can't like your request.
Ok, I always heard they meant it as a human sacrifice, but that it didn't quite work out the way they wanted when the taser didn't work. I just went from memory when I wrote it down. Seems a bit unclear according to the sources for Wikipedia's article:
"The motives of the murder were not made clear during the trial. Was it a satanic crime, one of the human sacrifices that the MLO members had talked about? Or was it rather a hate crime, motivated by the anger Nödtveidt and Vlad had felt when confronted with Meddour's personality? According to criminal inspector Lars Ohlin, who led the police investigation, there is no denying that Nödtveidt and Vlad's acts were made on a background of Satanism, but homophobia was also a clear factor, and the Keillers Park murder was registered as a hate crime by the Swedish police.[sr 14]
On 6 July 1998, Nödtveidt was sentenced by the Göteborg district court to eight years of prison for assistance to murder and illegal possession of a firearm. Vlad was sentenced to ten years for murder, violence against his girlfriend, illegal possession of a firearm and possession of body parts. All three parties appealed to the verdict.[lo 13]"

Juhaliza Now that's really interesting !
How is it in Götheborg these days ? I've been there quite often but haven't been there in 3 years or so.
Interesting as always! I often get a very H.P Lovecraftian wibe from Watain songs and mixing that stuff with biblical stuff makes for a good ride into the abyss. Perfect to listen to when cleaning the house or doing the dishes! :)
Their live performances has a genuine danger to them that is often missing in other ”satanic” bands.
I would love to hear what you have to say about Devils Blood - The yonder beckons. That song is co-written with the lead singer of Watain but the band has a very different musical style.
Keep ’em coming!
And When He Falleth by Theatre Of Tragedy for the next Black Fire Show.
I've recommended this song before, this exact song. Except I don't think it fits Black Fire because the way the conflict resolves...without spoilers...just going to say I don't think it's intended as anti-Christian, or even anti-anything really.
Malfeitor sounds like Malfaiteur, a french word that means "evil doer", one who does bad things, basically.
Have to say as a die hard Black Metal fan with a Catholic background that has turned to a disgust of it and shaped me today to follow a Luciferian/Satanic mindset .... you guys are amazing. Your open mindedness and appreciation of our music is admirable. Plus.... even as a follower of the left hand path - you are both adorable :-)
Keep it up guys. Great channel - love it. And Vin's knowledge is awe inspiring
Immortal is a great black metal band. Watch interviews if you wanna see what black metal people are really like. Great humor.
I think Vin would be moshing and air guitar shredding along to a song like "In My Kingdom Cold."
Patrick Tracy dude could jam out to Celine dion. Lol
Piyush Pawar Not sure what you're driving at. I made no judgement about Abbath's allegiances in the Black Metal community.
Admire your idea
Pure contradiction.. how could you possibly be an atheist and satanist simultaneously?
@@anfie2495 there is different types of satanism
Wait until you find out it's a longstanding war between extraterrestrials.... hahahahahaha
Fuck around and find out, but getting beam me up scottied is most unpleasant.
Here in scandinavia the church buildt there houses off worship right over the old temples that were in use for Odin etc soo there is alot off warpt ”hate” confused with nationlisim and a sence off forced religion
Interesing and funny video. Watain is one of my favorite bands.
Greets from México!
I love you guys. In this day and age, you guys exemplify what can be.....and what things already are.
Can’t wait to see them in March! I’m a big fan of them. They are great
You both are AMAZING ppl !
God bless you both !! Very insightful videos🖒🖒 love the way you both are together
Burzum - Dunkelheit
Now that's Black Metal at their truest core
that is a spotlight song but i feel jesus tod is a upbeat song for a first listener to listen to
tommy gibson listen to both seems fair enough
Jesus Tod or My Journey To The Stars. For the riff alone.
Or they could react to one of Burzums calmer instrumental more pagan albums
I prefer be holding the daughters of the firmament
Thank you for doing Watain!
Reccomend also the serpents chalice, waters of ain, reaping death, outlaw, stellavore, sworn to the dark, and sacred damnation
Emperor - Ye Entrancemperium
Emperor - Inno A Satana
Dissection - Night's Blood
Dissection - Somberlain
Burzum - My Journey To The Stars
Burzum - Dunkelheit
Immortal - Pure Holocaust
Immortal - At The Heart Of Winter
Gorgoroth - Incipit Satan
Watain - Stellarvore
Bathory - Call From The Grave
Darkthrone - Quintessence
Darkthrone - En Vind Av Sorg
Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
Old Man's Child - God Of Impiety
Ulver - Capitel I: I Trolskog Faren
Mayhem - Freezing Moon
Mayhem - Funeral Fog
My personal beginner recommendation:
1. -Bathory - Necromancy / Raise the Dead
2. -Burzum - Jesus Dod / Dunkelheit
3. -Darkthrone - Transilvanian Hunger
Devils Blood - House of 10,000 Voices
Devils Blood - Voodoo Dust
Yes! Was thinking just the same. The Devil's Blood are amazing. The Yonder Beckons would be my pick.
The first Decibel Magazine tour featured Watain, Behemoth, The Devils Blood, and In Solitude.... amazing show 🤘
HAIL THE DEVIL'S BLOOD
Agree!!!
Thank you for watching the whole thing !
Niklas Kvarforth would be a good one.
Id say you need too give Hymn to Qayin "Qayin=Cain" or Four Thrones by Watain a listen. The symbol they lit up was the crux tridentis a logo of watain that holds esoteric meaning. And yes watain are 100% for real into anti cosmic satanism or chaos gnosticism
also "Devil's Blood", such a mighty song
Thiago Henrique "stellarvore" is another great song
Awww thank you! I rewatched that part..I forgot I sneezed lol -Sori🤟🏻
Iced MOTHERFUCKEN Earth!!!! Alive in Athens version please....it's by far the best version
On the list my man!!
also my favorite song, its a journey of 14 minutes amazing black metal \../
I' ve reached the part were you guys said that God is present and taking care of these people. That' s very interesting because Watain had a show on a local called Colectiv. They had flames and stuff. Behemoth also had a show in this location with flames. Nothing happened. That until a local band had a show and from a spark, the place burned and killed 64 kids including all band members except one. And the band wasn't even a satanic one. I guess his are mysterious ways...
Whoa!
VinAnd Sori m.ruclips.net/video/AFMzD-Sk4Fk/видео.html#
Strange comparison because you are comparing professional crews with a local band....
Appreciate that
What was the realization?
Of all the dark funeral songs....that's your pick
We want them to react to black metal not shitty norse core.....coming from a Marduk fan....OK I will shut up xD
Seriously any of the first four albums and 2 eps are a better choice than "my funeral".
13:05 we're all regular dudes and girls, we're normal human being and we DON'T worship Satan, neither God, we're just atheists.
you if want to keep the trend:Watain- Waters of AinDissection- Night's Blood
I saw these guys open for mayhem and I have to tell you I can’t even describe the vibes from that show especially during mayhem
Malfeitor seems to comes from the French "Malfaiteur", which means "someone which do bad things"
Original Comment:
I ****ing love Watain.
There is plenty to enjoy out there without compromising our walk with Christ.
thanks a lot , it is really appreciated
6.5? Why not just bump it up to 6.66? ;)
Lol already did that with behemoth !
Check out Waters Of Ain from Watain, it definitely sums up what they are talking about in a very poetic way.
Really insightful, please do Dissection - Starless Aeon, you should be offended again.
Gintaras Dzedulionis the real offence will be Carnal Malefactor by DSO
That song (and the whole album) is a great insight into their beliefs
Or some GG Allin.
Think of "The I" in terms of philosophical terms, and the lyric makes much more sense
That actually helps!!!
its not a concert, its a ritual.
Finally, black metal!
Do Behemoth - Furor Divinus! If you guys interviewed nergal it would be gold.....
Let him know we’re coming for him
Yeah Watain sure has hell knows how to captivate their audience and make a good show. I've seen them a couple of times at festivals and it was always a blast. Musically they are one of the best black metal bands currently out there, in my opinion.
If you two are thinking of doing another song by them I would recommend 'Stellarvore'.
No musical diversity in black metal! What! Vin! Bro.... There are lots of diversity
I said that ?
The ending of this particular live performance of Malfeitor gives me goosebumps every time
You should check out Where dead Angels lie or Somberlain by Dissection
Your English is great!
You and i would get along well i think. Emperor is my all time favorite black metal band but Ondskapt is my favorite for the last couple of years. So sinister.
Hi Adam,
I'm always searching for black and death metal bands/projects, that stand out from the more 'generic' stuff.
Keep up the great work.
theferaldays
I am always on the hunt too.
Faith No More- The Real Thing!!
Jacob Frederick. Yes!
The pitchfork is the Crux Tridentis... watch Opus Diaboli... thats where this performance comes from and he talks about the symbol and what it means to them
Their trident symbol stands for Lucifer, Lilith and Belial
No it doesn't... Erik talks about it in Opus Diaboli.... watch the actual singer of Watain explain what it means cuz it's not that
de profundis will check it out ... this trident due to it being shorter could be a different symbol but I think its largely the same... many symbols can have many meanings to different people
Dude.... the band literally talks about it... its their symbol....he very specifically talks about it's meaning...
Emperor- inno a satana
I was thinking of the same song, that would be great.
Blad Empale make sure they do the In The Nightside Eclipse version. Vin and Sori often pick crappy versions of songs and then say they sucked.
Studio release not a live version i hope
Yess! Inno A Satana by Emperor from album in the nightside eclipse
Yes, The Waters of Ain is incredible.
Lol maybe!
VinAnd Sori
lol no worries. i know what you meant. i agree in a way with you guys lol. those guys from Watain are on a whole new level. i know they use animal carcasses and blood on set. i went to a BEHEMOTH consert where they performed "The Satanist" in its and its entirety. Orion the bass player took out a crucifix when they were about to perform "Ora por Nubis Lucifer" he had turned the crucifix upside down and spat blood at tge crucifix. lol i was close enough to get blood on me. no lie it was amazing stuff lol
Jason Kramer
yeah he did put out a book like i had mentioned befor. its called "confessions of a heretic" its on a Q and A stile book. he (Nergal) has said hes a believer of Thelema.
Deftones - Passenger, Be Quiet And Drive, Change, Digital Bath...
...and there you lost me. Zeus is so much older than Jawe. Believe or not, there was religion before Jesus.
The audio quality of that video is not that great. That said the visuals make for a cool experience. Malfitor is a good song though not my fave. Waters of Ain, or Stellarvore should be next on your list of their songs. Really good stuff.
Jeremiah H. WATERS OF AIN is an amazing epic song but imagine how long a video would be if they reacted to a 15 min song lol
Stellarvore is underrated
This music brings me such a discomfort within that I cannot even express in words. This people are definitely possessed by evil force, no question.
Happy New year and all the best to all good people on the planet.
Great band seen them live . There satanist and true black metal Awesome reaction
React to Watain - All That May Bleed or Nuclear Alchemy! 🤘
Hector Saucedo Fuck yeah, all that may bleed us my favourite track, it rips!
Please no. Even the shit on Casus Luciferi is better than Alchemy, it's probably their worst song imo
love the knowledge that you guys bring!
Katatonia - Leaders
Something from their last record would be better though.
You guys are awesome as heck I jus got into y'all I love y'all I'm Christian to but I still listen to metal y'all should check out Draconian the morning Star really awesome song I think y'all would like it
Draconian rocks \m/
michael penna I love them I love that genre of music Draconian is awesome band 🤘
they are good very good they rock ... but ive found that as ive gotten older my taste in music has expanded i used to be all about metal and only metal .. but now i listen to all kinds of music genre even 50s and 60s all music now touches me .. accept for one lol im sorry but i just can not get into RAP lol i think when they came up with that name they forgot the letter C in front of it lol and todays is even worse then when i grew up lol todays Rap i feel like i lose IQ points listening to it lol just to give you and idea of when i grew up im 44 going on lets call it 18 lol
michael penna hell yea man they do bro you never to old to rock out or anything same as me to I fucking hate rap with a passion today's rap is absolute garbage I hate it lol I'm only 23 I'm pretty open minded to the genres of metal I listen to all kinds of metal rock to I love older rock music 50's thru 90's but metal has always been my call home lol especially the genre of Draconian that's my all time favorite idk lol but I'm huge fucking fan of Lamb of God there my all fav out of everything ik I'm all messed up with this I hope I'm not confusing confusing you man
I give you that bro yea I still have that name on here but I'm like that I believe in the good Lord and stuff jus not the Bible tho
Make Primordial - To Hell or the Hangman / Babels Tower / The Coffin Ships
React to Waters of Ain (off of the "Opus Diaboli" DVD), please! !
Btw: Not just real blood, the lads tend to put entrails and carcasses on the stage. At Summer Breeze festival there were offical warnings about the smell and sight of those :D
