Charles: My wife and I have really been enjoying your presentations with Lisa Novick at the Theodore Payne Foundation; we thank you both. Though we live in Georgia, your information has really inspired us to research and plant native plants throughout our yard. We will also start promoting planting native plants in our neck of the woods too.

      Good afternoon lapriest1,
THAT IS THE BEST NEWS EVER! This 4 - Part video series dedicated to native plants was designed to inspire people just like you to bring natives into your gardens! I am so glad that I got to be the one to motive you and your wife to contribute towards your local ecology by creating habits for the animals and insects that live in your community. By doing so, you should be enjoying increased fruit and vegetable yields with the increase in pollinators to your garden-- In addition to having more natural predators in your garden such as birds and lady bugs to keep any pests issues in balance. Please keep me updated! :)

Very informative series. Appreciate the pop ups that give the mature plant size and litter. Thank you for sharing.

I now have some appreciation for these plants that normally I over looked as having no purpose. You dont actually think about what it's doing in the environment on a day to day basis. We are looking into getting the fairy duster for this property. Lack of bees out here is crazy we only saw 3 in the summer and they were dead. I had wondered if this was part of the reason for a lack of tomato's being grown. Weird because people have all kinds of stuff growing around here but one thing that it's plenty of is butterflies.

      Hello Leo's Universe,
I've got a half-dozen native plants in the garden, and will be on the lookout to add the fairy duster to my home garden too! Glad this video got you to appreciate the native plants and importance to every home garden! Thank's for sharing & have a great weekend! :)

Carpenteria is meant to grow in dry shade?

      Hello Robroy4137,
My research support that this plant prefers both sun and can tolerate shade too. In fact, in inland areas where the sun is most intense, the plant performs better in the shade. If you have two plants, I would position one in a sunny place and the other in a shady location to compare how they perform: growth size, numbers of blooms, and overall health of the plant. Please keep me posted! And Happy New Year! :)

Music is too random & doesn’t add to the presentation.
