Soooo...you've convinced me that I should be growing native plants. Do you have any recommendations for any societies or foundations for Native Plants in the DC/MD area (East Coast)?
Hello Tyrell Samuels, AWESOME! I hope this helps take your garden to the next level! I did some research and found the following helpful links that will lead you plants and seeds you can grow in your home state. Keep me posted on your gardening successes! :-) www.mdflora.org/publications/nurseries.html extension.umd.edu/sites/extension.umd.edu/files/_docs/programs/master-gardeners/Howardcounty/Baywise/Native%20Plant%20Info%20Sheet%20HC%20MG%20Current.pdf Charles :-)
Hey Charles, I've been tracking you and Lisa for awhile now. Thanks so much for your amazing, informative work. I'm in Diamond Bar (east border L.A. county) where we have the last remnants of oak woodland, coastal sage scrub threatened by development. Could/would you or a colleague be able to come out and inspect our habitats and/or do a class? Thank for your passion. : )
Hello Cynthia Robin Smith, Thank you for the compliment! :-) Please e-mail me at Info@IVOrganics.com your request to teach a similar lesson in Diamond Bar; and I'll see what I can arrange. Great to hear from you!!! :-) Charles
It's really interesting to hear what Lisa Novick has to say, too bad I have to get a repeat of what she says after she says it. Thank you Lisa.
My milkweed seeds just arrived in the mail. I guess I'll start them in the spring. This will be a good thing to do with the grandkids.
Hello Odette,
So glad to hear that you are doing your part to support the local habit and existing ecology in your community! Great work! :)
Charles
Thank you for this informative video! I purchased a buckwheat plant I was unaware of the process. Thank you!
Thank you! I'm learning and on my way slowly to get more natives into my garden!
