      @@robertus55 I am a person who's grown to depend on books/text to get him out of the realm of words and back into reality. This is one of those books. It's using nice words but it's not saying anything I don't know. It's used by most, myself included, as a form of procrastination. It's just words packaged a different way saying the obvious. That we wound't need anyone telling it to us, weren't we so much in the realm of words

    There is a spirit of cross-pollination of Dave Allen, Cal Newport (even prior to the "Deep Work" mention), and Marie Kondo/Fumio Sasaki I am picking up from the summary here. Hope to check it out based on that (added to the never-ending amazon wish list in the meantime :P ). Great work Robert!

      hey thanks Connor! Sometimes one needs to go back to the classics (Dave Allen) --- as I don't think I had my hands on one of his books. But yes, ideas built on ideas.

    ARE YOU GUYS ALL BOTS??!! This book has maybe 5 good ideas for you to organize your mind and he spreads them out over 300 pages of anecdotes and analogies. The author didn’t write this with the intent to help you organize your mind he wrote it with the intent to take your money

    The book should be retitled The Organizing Mind.
    { The mind is always messy and not organized.
    But its unique strength is that it is always actively organizing. }
    (This is not a play on words; there is a difference between Organized [ a finished product ] and Organizing [ an ongoing process ].

    The human brain 🧠 has been largely the same for thousands of years in terms of processing capacity as hardware evolution takes a very long time.
    In last 20 years, information that human brain encounters on daily basis has probably grown by 1000x or even more.
    This creates hardware processing issues for the human brain and from reading articles to summaries we just want to know headlines and make a conclusion.
    This hyper concluding low capacity brain is extremely easy to manipulate as it has no intention to get into details. TLDR.
    Kids born in information overload generation and natural ADHD compared to generations before. Smarter and dumber in different ways than the previous generation.
    Marketing books and courses need to adapt and strategies for hyper concluding brain need to be thought again.
    The brain needs information fasting few hours a day to connect the dots it has collected. Collected dots are useless without connections.
