Thank you for posting this. I have the same issue with my Kawasaki ZZR-600. I didn't even think about disconnecting the rear light sensor to narrow down the problem.
Great job bro. A lot of people get intimidated about doing brake work, but it's actually quite simple. People are mostly intimidated about flushing a system and being scared about having an air bubble. But like you said, if you're not comfy in doing it, get it done. :)
So was the issue actually the light bulb ... Good video and info to put up. I guarantee there will be someone that wonders or will search on how to do this ..
Thanks for posting this, I just got a 02 Honda CB900f. Being my first bike I don't know a thing about motorcycles, but it appears to be doing this. The breaking assembly looks pretty similar to your Triump though.
It was quick, but that can depend on the seller. It wasn't hard to find and it was inexpensive. When someone cracks up a bike, they or someone else sometimes parts them out.

Did it take a while for the switch to come through from ebay, and was it hard to find online buddy,
