Definitely plans to ensure crew bail out of planes. As one of the plans is for Victory point score based on surviving flight crew. So to encourage you to try and pull survivors out of the water. There was a discussion several months ago about victory point association for ships etc i was part of where we 'blueprinted' potential VP totals for ships, aircraft and surviving crew (ships and aircraft)
@@AaronScottLawford The most important period of the war when Japan still had a chance was Dec 41 to Feb 43. After that, the production from the naval construction that was put in place in 39-40 was coming online and Japan had no chance thereafter. The rest of the war was an attrition slugfest. Only operational errors would have changed things.
Quick question: by the time of Midway, the Devastators only had two-man crews rather than three (I saw some previous footage that showed three man crews in the planes), correct?
Devastators embark a 3-men crew for bombing missions (the third man is assuming the role of the bombardier & manipulates the Norden) while they stick to a 2-men configuration in a torpedo attack.
You mean a simulation/war game based on WW2 Carrier warfare in the Pacific? Could be several potential options. Do you remember when you played the game in question?
From what the devs have said before, multi-player is not in current plans. One because building a game like this for multi-player is way harder than it is for single player, two because they haven't even fleshed out command and control for the Japanese. They have said though that the are laying the ground work for multi-player in the future.
something I noticed was when the planes take off, like after lining up on the deck to take off, they seem to drop a little bit and then start their takeoff. Is that something that will stay or will that be dealt with?
"Will that be dealt with"...? Sorry to be blunt, but are you guys for real 😂 I mean, I've just watched some shorts of Warhammer TW3 with hands clipping through guns and animations duplicated simultaneously - gotta be fair & reasonable at some point in your expectations. There's one single guy coding that game, and for what it's worth, I consider he's gone way above & beyond his duty already.

Question: Plans to have flight crews bail out of crashing planes?
It doesn't have to be on release and I understand if you guys don't wanna add it.

The only thing I need answers for is , before or after Christmas
Something before that, for sure.
@@DrydockDreamsGames His mistake was not defining the year 🤭
Great job!!! Keep it up!!!
I hope this will support wide screen
Gimme gimme! Or just sell it to me! 😁
Release date pllleeeaaaseee!!!
No date for full release at this time. However, the devs are working very hard to ensure a demo/kickstarter with a playable slice is released in 2024.
damn i cant wait for the game to come out. Is there any date?

👌👌👌
looks awesome! Is it possible to add some men to the ships?
I'm not sure if this was asked before but do you guys plan on adding late war stuff later on in development?
tentative plans are in place for later Volumes to extend the scope of the war past very early 1943. Volume 1 covers only to early February 1943.

Will have the Yamato in this game?? 😻😻

@@DrydockDreamsGames Thanks for the clarification!
there were a similar game in the past that I liked a lot.Does anyone recall the name?

Still early days but is multiplayer in the plans or not currently?

That actually happens in real life... Even today on modern carriers.

@@sabotaged4451 Those must be some big ass chocks lmao. I personally don’t have an issue with it as just a thing the game does
are the cowl flaps actually animated?
I don’t believe so. Generally aesthetic stuff like that is being put on the back burner for now
