Thank you for posting the video very useful. Working on my 1963 Falcon & I was not sure how to remove the horn button (duhh)need to replace the turn signal cam. Wouldn't mind seeing a video on it if you have time.
Nice! I’m doing the same thing with my ‘65 Futura wagon. I bought a ‘65 Mustang wheel in red and the alternator version of the Sprint horn button. The red is wrong and I’ll have to paint to match, and yes I know it’s not a Sprint but with all the upgrades I’m making it’ll essentially be a Sprint wagon 😁
Please, please show the video on the signal switch replacement. Lol,I've taken mine apart many many months ago and can't find the pictures i took so i wouldn't need to remember how it went together. Cheers!
Working on a 1964.5 mustang with a generator. Ordered the correct wheel from CJ pony parts and had to send it back because the horn ring bottomed out before it got to the locking portion. Will try and order from autokrafters. My horns work off the car (battery with alligator clips) but would love to see a trouble shooting video where you walk it from the wheel to the relays to the horn. Thanks for all the great content. Love your channel.
I believe is the way the electrical contacts for the horn pass through the wheel from back to front that is different on a generator car vs alternator car.
@@hotrodray6802 I think it was more to do with the wiring in the steering column than gen vs alt, from the way Jeff explained it. I have a 65 Falcon, so I'm not much help.
Definitely would like to see the turn signal video and how your adjusting the bars on the horn button as I have one side closer then the others on my mustang.
Question I’m looking at a new steering column for my 63 falcon and I have rack and pinion in it. Ididit doesn’t make a column for a 63 but do for a 64. It your opinion will the 64 work with a 29-1/4” column at is a 30” column for a 65 mustang be better?
I have a 1963 Ford Falcon sedan with that exact problem when I turn left it won't reset back to off on it own. I also only have one of my two horns working, I would love to see the full system of wiring and relays for that for guidance. If you do make a video on it it would help me out a lot! Thank you!
Thanks for your videos Jeff. I would like to see another video for a 64 falcon or 64 1/2 mustang with same set up wire diagram just b cuz I have 64.5 mustang generator wiring set up signal switch that came with car originally that came with my mustang but has a alternator now . my question is should I change it to a 65 or 66 setup now during my restoration ?
I have a Cyclone and the column and turn signal switch are the same. The steering wheel will fit on the column. Not sure what to use for a horn ring or button.
I liked your idea about buying a mustang horning ring and popping out thr central button and replacing it with a falcon or ford one ( I have an Australian XP Futura hardtop and original horn rings in reasonable condition are as rare as hens teeth ). Trouble is I can't seem to find the mustang horn ring without the word mustang written on it or the falcon button. Any chance of pointing me in the right direction?
I agree. The mark does not mean anything anymore. I know you were sick with the horn ring problem but I know you will get it how you want. I would like to see the turn signal and horn videos.
I would like to see repair the horn. After three garages could not fix my 68 mustang, I decided to repair it my own and it works perfectly. Found that the after market parts will not work together unless you make slight changes
Hello Jeff and Crew, We are working on a 1964 Ford Ranchero and this video is very helpful. Could you direct us to some other videos regarding re-wiring the instrument panel, we have a Kwik-Wire kit? Thanks in advance! Blessings, Joe E
I see yours has a futura badge... was it a sprint model as well from the factory? I have a futura sedan and I’m having a very hard time finding a wheel and horn ring

Thank you for your hard work. I’ve learned so much from you! Your videos are the best quality on RUclips.
Wow, thank you!
I would love to see a video on the signal switch an I love the steering wheel video keep them coming I always look forward to them
Will do!

We'll be on it Tuesday
Would like to see you get the horns op.
We're planning on it.
Fact! Nobody , and I mean nobody makes them like OEM! No matter what the part is! But that does look good!
True enough my friend!

Thanks for the class. Well done.
My pleasure!
Great video! Could you list the thread size of the bolts for the pry bar?
Generator wheel? You lost me, what’s the difference between alternator and generator wheel
I believe is the way the electrical contacts for the horn pass through the wheel from back to front that is different on a generator car vs alternator car.
Really! If we install an alt on a 63-4 how does all this apply?
@@hotrodray6802 I think it was more to do with the wiring in the steering column than gen vs alt, from the way Jeff explained it. I have a 65 Falcon, so I'm not much help.
The generator cars horns use a sing contact where the alternator car horns use two.
@@AutoRestoMod thanks for replying, don’t suppose it would mater if you changed to a single wire alternator
Definitely would like to see the turn signal video and how your adjusting the bars on the horn button as I have one side closer then the others on my mustang.
I might whittle into that too. I know there are some issues with some of the horn buttons.

Or keep 64.5 set up with relay?
You can use the original relay. If you want, you can update to bosch relays, too.
Is the 64 Comet Cyclone the same set-up?
I have a Cyclone and the column and turn signal switch are the same. The steering wheel will fit on the column. Not sure what to use for a horn ring or button.
Yep. Spooky thing is 1967-72 F100 uses the same column neck.
My 62 Falcon needs a cancel cam replacement too. The two columns almost be the same, I'd like to see the replacement procedure as well.
Coming next week.
Hi Jeff! Yes please do the horn video when you can squeeze it in. Thank you!
We will hit that when the parts get here.
Thanks for the wheel good time...
I'm glad it turned out...
Yes please. I'm resto-moding a 65 Mustang and the dashboard/steering wheel look the same.
Ok!
Sure, I'd like to see you go through the remainder of the horn circuit.
Parts are on the way!
I've Heard you can use a Falcon Wheel on the F100. I want a Blue one for my 1969 f100 Ranger. I know this is older video. Thanks Jeff
Yes come as long as it is a 72 and older F 100 they use a Falcon column.

Look to the 1965 and 1966 Mustang T5. That horn ring just says "Ford", you can change the center button out to one you like from there.
Thanks! Would the standard 65 falcon hornring button fit?
my 63 futura has been modified to a 1 wire alternator. Can I still use the generator horn ring?
I think so!
I agree. The mark does not mean anything anymore. I know you were sick with the horn ring problem but I know you will get it how you want. I would like to see the turn signal and horn videos.

We'll see what we get!
Hello Jeff and Crew, We are working on a 1964 Ford Ranchero and this video is very helpful. Could you direct us to some other videos regarding re-wiring the instrument panel, we have a Kwik-Wire kit? Thanks in advance! Blessings, Joe E
We have only fully wired an Autowire system. It is our go to brand.
You couldn't have tested the horn because you didn't reinstall the horn contact and spring.
I did install it... But I knew the horn didn't work.
@@AutoRestoMod it looked like it was still sitting on dash at the end of the video.
Enjoyed the video, Jeff, and yes, I'd love to see the turn signal replacement video.
Coming soon!
Lookin good
Well thanks bud!
I see yours has a futura badge... was it a sprint model as well from the factory? I have a futura sedan and I’m having a very hard time finding a wheel and horn ring
On the Falcon the car was not available as the Sprint/Futura. The wheel and horn ring are very hard to find in good shape. I ended up restoring mine.
Yes on the signal switch please.
We're just waiting on parts.
Wene are you going to get back to that 63 ford Galaxie
It is coming. A lot of what we are doing on the Falcon right now will cross over.
Dang it I was just about to ask for the wheel! haha
It stays...for now.
Make the horn work. My horn isn't working at the wheel. It works off the battery.
Probably good to disconnect the battery before you start pulling off that wheel. Don't ask me how I know that.
He did disconnect the battery.
HAHAHAHHAaaaahhh good times.
Of course we want to see you fix the turn signal cam, make the horn work and oh while you're at it walk on hot coals barefooted 👍👍👍
Yes, please show us how to fix the horn! Thanks!
Not sure why I even asked. LOL We're working on it.
Let's make the horn work....thanks...
You bet!
Please do a video
Plz do turn signals and horns
OK!
Yes , please help us with a video
OK
@5:50 he said, "Blow me".
Bwhahahaaa!
Yeah sure, work that horn spoke
Work it real good .
Take mustang horn off and sprint falcon under it
True.
