Weld the small round bar outside on the perimeter of the grill . Paint the whole shell the metallic green. Cab and light buckets pearl white with the green metallic paint for scallops . Just an idea.
My goodness, that little truck is looking so cool. I sat in the parking lot today at the mall blasting Relax by Frankie Goes to Hollywood as my daughter loaded groceries into the rear hatch of the Focus, completely oblivious of my shenanigans as she ignored the stares, raised eyebrows and thumbs up of passerbys and me sitting their behind the wheel laughing my head off. God I love being obnoxious and that little truck is just that. "Obnoxious!" Chopped, Channeled, Sectioned and Loud and I think that is about as cool as it gets. LMAO. Bout make a feller want to pull a wheelie in front of the crowd............ The grille insert should be white, the shell the color of the cab and box. No screen. In my opinion.
Ol' Pablo is sparkles and Brent is Mr. Flaky! But seriously, love the green flake and white combo you are getting some serious stuff done, paint work and fabrication on one car and an engine trans install on another!! Congrats on 100K hope it gets another decimal for you brother!!
The paint looks sick should paint the whole thing. We were into the flake large in the 70s,candy apple red with metal, pearle flake. I personally had bark gray with metal flake heavy gloss f,n ❤ that look We all were flashy back then, haha.
Pablo seems to be a lot more involved supervising and doing quality assurance inspections on this project. Maybe it's his favorite one to date? 🙂 Grille came out really sweet, hard to believe you brought that bent up thing back to life.
The grill bar's came out awesome. Looks like real nice aftermarket. The reason the grill shell looks off is the lower left side the width of the surround has a slightly different shape. Not the pieces you removed and retached.
@@HalfassKustoms An approach you might want to take with the grille is to take a digital photograph of it head-on, then in the photo editor of your choice, cut the photo down the middle, flip one half along the vertical axis and set its transparency to 50%. You can then superimpose it over the other half of the photo and see exactly where the lack of symmetry lies. I suspect that part of it is the bottom edge - the side that you reattached pretty much as-is has a bit of a curve to the bottom whereas the side that you had to remake has a straight bottom. To my eye the remade bit doesn't seem quite as deep as the as-is bit either, but I can't tell for sure. The flipped semi-transparent superimposed photo trick will tell you for certain.
You truly are a "miracle worker" ... the transformation of the Grill was amazing. Glad you got your "metal flaking skills" honed ... came out great ... and yes I know you weren't kidding when you said "20 coats of Clear Coat" - LOL Congrats on getting the T Bucket out the door and good to see "The General" (my favorite of all your builds ... EPIC !!!). Until next time, bon chance from the Riviera mon ami !
I believe that if you recheck the bottom of your grill, you'll find the rod you used to fill between the two sides, the point is off center to the driver's side by about a 1/2 inch.
You should get a narrow bike tube, like from a 10 speed bike, cut it and slide your tailgate chains in it so it doesn't scratch your paint. Cheap fix and still look good.
That emerald green color is so much better than what you started with . Do the tops of the doors down to the cranks with the flake then fabric on bottom half would look great !
Great how much work on two cars at the sane tine that you got done, Love the grille and the green metal flake and with the radiator painted black I think that is all the grille needs
That grill looks great! What do you think about using your CAD program and your steel cutting machine to cut out a half-ass character medallion to put on the center of the teeth of the grill?
I'm really digging the green flake on white. 👍 Gives it a bit of a 70's vibe. 🙂 (One way of making cheap "chrome" could be to just sand and clear coate the bars. Wont last forever of course, but... )
That green and white on the dash looks cherry! Just in time for the holiday this month. Speaking of green, thanks for the fluorescent green captions. They're easy to read.
Wonderful job on the metal flake paint and beautiful job on the grill it really makes the front of the vehicle look mean coming at you and i know you’re a perfectionist and the best mechanic n body man on You Tube i definitely appreciate watching your videos thank you 👍👍
The metal flake looks cool and the grill is excellent. I see the ol Buick in by the T. Sometime you might tell us what you have planned for a engine solution for it. Great video as always!🐾🍺
Grille came out nice. Round rod sure made a difference. When I did mine, I painted the radiator black , then painted the grille bars black. It worked out good for mine. Great job. Good video.
1st, Your skills and determination impress the hell out of me. 2nd , loved how " Sparkle" perked right up when you were about to bring theT out- Pablo sensed a bit of rip was going to happen , at least thats what I saw.
Grill looks great. Henry Ford would be proud. Be proud of that Chevy engine in the T too. It sounds like it does have a pretty hot cam in it. Sounds good. Dash looks good. You had a “Win” for all of your progress. Thanks for sharing. 👊😎👍
The screen you had for your t is an old grain. Cleaner screen triangle usually used for taking buck wheat out. They make several sizes, round hole and even slotted. Coming along nicely!
Brent you continue to amaze me with your skill and designs. The grill is great looking and the green flake is right on time. Thank you for another fine video.
The Grill is looking super, metal flake is really nice your home work paid off. This Truck is outstanding, the cab installation will cut the sound way down. The T is back together, great video, as always thanks.
2 jobs on the go there, working on one while planning the next steps on the other, I like your thought process Brent, you really got a flow going. You nailed the metalflake, looks good and I think your idea of a metalflake strip against a solid colour for the outside of the truck will be a great look. Best regards.
I like what you did to the grill. It looks almost “factory”. I am still wondering if you going to install a backing behind the 1/4” rods. The emeral green metalflake on the dash is a hit….. great video.
@@chuckstith838 Brent still has to paint clear over the flakes it looks really rough until you spray many clear coats over the flake that's when it takes the deep affect, that goes with patterns paint job's the more layer's of patterns the more clear coasts you have to spray to get the deep look. If you were to just tape up patterns with no clear coats it would look and feel rough just in case no one knows about what it takes to do Kustom car show paint job's many many hour's and day's spent on waiting for paint to dry so you can add another layer. It's not a simple and fast job. If you want it to look GREAT 👍🏽
Big fun! When you mounted the chains on the outside of the tailgate, I was thinking inside would be better, five minutes later chains on the inside, much cleaner look and no rattling etc. The grill is exceptional the round bar narrows and lengthens it perfectly. LOL The last shot of you with Pablo sitting in the back watching the road as your drive. Another great episode and a entertaining diversion from my life in the Mekong Delta Vietnam. ☮️🌏…
Imperfect is perfect when it comes to hand building a rod I would say. You have had a vision all along of what you wanted. Well done considering the peer input and not letting us lead that vision astray. Give the pups a scratch on the noggin for me and thanks for another great episode.
Very good idea for the tail gate chains and the flake pieces, colour is perfect . I think the chrome grill inserts will look great. What an enjoyable episode, thanks.
That grille looks great !!! I really like that touch of color on the dash !! I appreciate you sharing your fab skills !! Thank you and God bless !!!! Eddy
I think part of the problem with the grill looking out of balance is the peak at the bottom. It looks like the round stock you added at the bottom is not centered with the grill center.
Brent, I believe I saw a similar Ford pickup on the channel Restored. Theirs is red with a Mopar 318 in it. I see how their radiator looks like yours. Those "tabs" at the bottom do seem to balance the look....You're correct..
Great job and thanks very much for the vid. The aprons on the chin of the grill look perfectly fine to me, leave it…lol’s! Perhaps a bug screen on the back side, I used one on my 32 rdstr and it disguised the aluminum rad pretty well. You’d have to check fitment, but it seems they’re available in the usual years, 32/34/36. Also maybe a lower grill pan (ala ‘32) blacked out to take up some barren space, ground cover and view of the axle. Great job and thanks for the vid!
Well the radiator turned out really nice along with the tailgate. And the General still looks great, love that build my favorite. Congratulations on 100,000 subscribers my friend, you have worked hard and well deserve every one of them. You need to get into the mood and do another build similar to the General so these last 50,000 subscribers that has joined can see what they have missed, ha, ha. Have a blessed day.
I love the grill but I think the headlights would look better if they were a rectangle to match the windshield. Just thinking . Love the channel and your workmanship is incredible . Thanks for sharing. GOD BLESS Rick
I liked that Merc that you fixed up before the winter but is this truck the coolest thing I've seen ya do in the couple of years I've been wartchin, yes, I think it is. Beautiful truck so far, Brent.
Every time you ask Pablo a question I see a speech bubble above his head "When will I get to drive in it?"
Grill bars look good, the overall look is great. Pablo's still the coolest thing in the workshop though
When somebody sees that the last thing they would notice is the bottom of the grill. It looks great! The green and white dash is killer too.
i can never get enough of this show .
The dashboard looks awesome. I think you should do the same treatment to that awesome grille
Weld the small round bar outside on the perimeter of the grill . Paint the whole shell the metallic green. Cab and light buckets pearl white with the green metallic paint for scallops . Just an idea.
Possibly design something, and cut it out on the water jet, mount it in between the radiator and grill like it’s floating.
That grille tho! Wonderful..obviously benefited from Pablo's supervision. Also, the tall T door handle! First class!
The grille insert should be white, the shell the color of the cab and box. No screen. In my opinion.
I like the no rattle tailgate latches. You should get a patent on that before someone steals the idea.
That metal flake green is awesome. She's coming along nicely!
I agree!
Ol' Pablo is sparkles and Brent is Mr. Flaky! But seriously, love the green flake and white combo you are getting some serious stuff done, paint work and fabrication on one car and an engine trans install on another!! Congrats on 100K hope it gets another decimal for you brother!!

Pablo riding High and Mighty, like a KING, in the back seat of the General!!!! While you chauffeur him around.😁😁😁
The grill bar's came out awesome. Looks like real nice aftermarket. The reason the grill shell looks off is the lower left side the width of the surround has a slightly different shape. Not the pieces you removed and retached.
I think you are right
Haha probably right will have to stare at it later

Etching primer your radiator and semi-gloss black.. will hide your radiator. Love the grill I made hundreds of them.
The right side bottom of the grill did look shorter man really love the way that grill is coming out!
awesome as always. You make it look so easy. another pat on the head for Pablo.
I am wondering if you could attach the emblem to the grill bars. You are a real craftsman and I enjoy watching you figure out build problems.
You truly are a "miracle worker" ... the transformation of the Grill was amazing. I didn't think we were ever going to get to the grill, but when you did it turned out great as always. Still think you could call it th joker
Back in the day I always use seatbelt latches for my tailgate latch worked out pretty good
I believe that if you recheck the bottom of your grill, you'll find the rod you used to fill between the two sides, the point is off center to the driver's side by about a 1/2 inch.
The dash is fabulous! How about white on outside body and green mini flake on body lines with a touch of green pin stripping
Yeah kinda got a plan for the paint will have to see of it works out haha
well Brent, those grill bars look perfect but maybe adding a bit of the green shiny metal flakes will go with the color scheme 😀
I just thought of that too I'd be awesome looking green metal Flake.!
Oh thank goodness! I thought Pablo was not going to get a ride this time! Truck is killer!
You should get a narrow bike tube, like from a 10 speed bike, cut it and slide your tailgate chains in it so it doesn't scratch your paint. Cheap fix and still look good.
The metal flake looks great on the dash and the other parts, love the look of the truck
Brent The dash looks Great Grill is awesome The hole thing is Excellent
that sparkel looks really nice 👌 maybe windowsill or framed would be nice too 😀
That emerald green color is so much better than what you started with . Do the tops of the doors down to the cranks with the flake then fabric on bottom half would look great !
Great choice on the grill!! Maybe black hex screen behind if you need to hide Rad.
Love the grill. Metal flake is a bit too much 60s for my taste, but I love the truck.
I'm really digging the green flake on white. 👍 Gives it a bit of a 70's vibe. 🙂
(One way of making cheap "chrome" could be to just sand and clear coate the bars. Wont last forever of course, but... )
Like the green metal flake dash be looking forward to seeing the truck painted.
That grill looks real nice.
I'm liking the grill. Round stock will be my plan now. It's nice to see you build another nice hot rod.👍
That green and white on the dash looks cherry! Just in time for the holiday this month. Speaking of green, thanks for the fluorescent green captions. They're easy to read.
NICE! The grille is pretty darn fine from where she came; the T has a really sweet motivator in her, and Pablo is definitely getting el' Plumpo...
Awesome! The Canadian Wizard of Welding just made my Monday! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉👍👍🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦
The grille looks awesome. I love the green metal flake too👍
She's turning into a beauty. Grill looks great goes perfect with the theme.
Wonderful job on the metal flake paint and beautiful job on the grill it really makes the front of the vehicle look mean coming at you and i know you’re a perfectionist and the best mechanic n body man on You Tube i definitely appreciate watching your videos thank you 👍👍
I didn't say anything about the grill last time, assuming it was the camera angle, this time looks great. You and Pablo do such great work, keep it up
The tweaks are working out well as they just fall into pace. Nice project.
The metal flake looks cool and the grill is excellent. I see the ol Buick in by the T. Sometime you might tell us what you have planned for a engine solution for it. Great video as always!🐾🍺
Yeah spring wanna fix it and pull the turbo off as I keep breaking that one haha
Good work on this episode Brent, the emerald metalic green is cool and your grill rocks -thanks!
Grille came out nice. Round rod sure made a difference. When I did mine, I painted the radiator black , then painted the grille bars black. It worked out good for mine. Great job. Good video.
Really like the grill, turned out great. Maybe some hardware cloth between the grill and rad. Take care 👍
1st, Your skills and determination impress the hell out of me. 2nd , loved how " Sparkle" perked right up when you were about to bring theT out- Pablo sensed a bit of rip was going to happen , at least thats what I saw.
great job on the grill and that green paint looks fantastic
The grill came out real nice!

I can’t be interested in other peoples stuff what they are building but yours, your stuff is cool and what I am used to, cheers.
It's going to be a nice little crusier! It looks good for what it is good job
Brent you continue to amaze me with your skill and designs. The grill is great looking and the green flake is right on time. Thank you for another fine video.

That's a good idea.. that would be awesome

Great video Brent! Super job on the grill. Again, something out of nothing. Thanks for bringing us along. All the best to all!!
This is the episode I've been waiting for. Been wanting to see what you did with the grill and you nailed it as usual.
Yeah, that broken original was kinda grating on my tender sensibilities. Super nice solution, and my sensibilities are all relieved.
Great job with the grille, you did what I was envisioning. This an everyman build, no show car, just a super cool ride.
Very good idea for the tail gate chains and the flake pieces, colour is perfect . I think the chrome grill inserts will look great. What an enjoyable episode, thanks.
The GRILL COMING out great I can see once it's painted with the car 👍🏽 blend right in the choice of round bar I would have done the same thing.
As always Brent ,great video ,metalflake is wild ,grill looks awesome another great video and tail gate works and looks great man take care
That grille looks great !!! I really like that touch of color on the dash !! I appreciate you sharing your fab skills !! Thank you and God bless !!!! Eddy
The grill looks great Brent! Like the metallic green on the dash as well.
Happy Monday!😀
I think part of the problem with the grill looking out of balance is the peak at the bottom. It looks like the round stock you added at the bottom is not centered with the grill center.
Here's what I can say GLAD YOU LIKE THE FLAKE.
Love the channel.
Cheers from Australia
You Brent, are the absolute master of making something from nothing! Well done as always!

Nice job. You put in a tremendous amount of work over the last few days. The grill is looking very good.
The grill turned out great. Great look!
3 of my 4 vehicles are green, that flake looks AWSOME, love to see the line on the outside also, and a great job on the grill.
Love the flake on the dash. Plus the grill is awesome.
I love this truck. It's awesome the way you start from nothing and end up with this bad ass hot rod.

I suggest you put the seal at the center of the grill. Nice job!
Great about the 100K subscribers. Can't believe it took so long since this is the best auto program on RUclips. The grill turned out fantastic.
Awesome work my friend the grill looks great nicely done

Grill is Beauty ! Dash should be interesting when the sun hits it ! Keep On Truckin' !!
Looking good Brent, the progress is coming along great with the color and the grill.
Did you watch your time laps on the grill insert of the rod, "THAT WAS SO COOL" and it really looks great !
I love the grill but I think the headlights would look better if they were a rectangle to match the windshield. Just thinking . Love the channel and your workmanship is incredible . Thanks for sharing.
GOD BLESS
Rick
Looking awesome, it's amazing to see it become one beautiful ride. I commend your talent and your perseverance.
That Ole T is not a snow mobile by any stretch of the imagination... Haha
Grill looks great .Love the green flake on the Dash
Always entertaining and informative.
