I'm speaking for everyone that watches your video's there's always something to learn from them. I was listening as I was getting things done in the shop. Thanks for sharing your videos and talents 👍🏽
You're being modest about patching the grill, but it is a piece of artwork. A metal sculpture. It turned out better than my imagination for it. You'll figure out something for the grill insert too. Hey, Thanks Brent. Hi Pablo and Buddy (I'm told). The Music was great, and it was yesterday too. A touch of opera was nice change up. It fit right in. 👍😎🍺🐶's
YES ! please do more on how you weld --settings and all that. Replacing those lower bits on the grill frame definitely is a win. You have a good eye, looks good. Great work, Fitzee would be impressed.
Watching you fabricate on the fly is something like listening to an accomplished jazz musician doing improvisations. Great to see you reach the 100K milestone. Love it that you do serious custom work but never take yourself too seriously.
Congrats on 100k my friend. One of my favorite channels. No fake Hollywood stuff. No fake TV wannabe with intro crap lol Just pure fab work. Please never change. Take care..
That’s an amazing transformation from Frankenstein’s monster into a pretty neat- looking unit! The fact that you measure so little and do so much by eye is incredible.
Brent, your video's are never boring Mate. Don't ever think that . You have an amazing talent & it's very enjoyable watching a Master at work. Been watching your channel for a couple of years now & your inspiration in that time has had me down in my shed (we don't call them shops here in OZ) working on my '81 Aussie Ford Fairmont Wagon project that is in the final stages to be on the road later this year. Thank you for all your tips & tricks you've taught me over time & introducing me to Karl at (Japhands) Make it Kustom who is also a wealth of knowledge. Cheers Billy J.... Queensland, Australia.
Always great to watch the REAL fabrication work, nothing fake, no costly short cuts, start with an idea, and make it happen. So many times guys just buy pricey patch panels and bushwack them so bad they would have been better off just doing it all from flat sheet metal. ( and you thought we weren't watchin) P/S , I GOT to find me a piece of railroad track! That one of yours is KILLER ! Yeah we know it's UGLY, but that puppy does a lot of work! I got a big black smiths anvil, but I need one like yours for detailed curves. Why don't you take a brake, come on down to South Fl. for a week and warm up down here on the beach, it was 79 degrees here today in West Palm Beach.
It amazes me the way you take a piece of sheet metal and meld it into shape to replace what was there before. I could watch a 3 hour video of your work. Your videos are NEVER too long, don't entertain that thought for moment. Wish I had the money to buy one of your cars when you finish!
Alot of wire, lol.lol,,it taking shape ,can't wait too see what the center gonna look like an again congs on ur milestone,,sure glad ur still using that important cardboard from Light ,,lol that means the contents are not wasted..haha,, untill next time,later..✌✌✌
FIRST, CONGRATS ON THE 100K SUBS, KEEP THE VIDEOS COMING, YOU DONT HAVE ANY ON HERE THAT ARE BORING, THEY ARE ALL GREAT , THANKS FOR SHARING THEM WITH US
OCD Guy here. I could watch you weld all day, but then I'd lose my job so I don't. On a more serious note, you have taught me that art comes in many forms and that grill is truly a work of art!
Absolutely great metal work on the Grill. Hard work you have a lot knowledge and take the time to do it right. Congratulations on Hundred thousand, fans that is a big deal, I am Glad I am one. Very Cool, Thanks for your videos.
Just putting it out there Brent, perhaps a stainless or alloy sheet with the Halfass Customs logo cut out on the plasma table then rolled into a slight curve to fit into the rad shell? The rad shell looks great BTW, and adding the bottom wings back on made all the difference 👍
The videos need to be longer Brent ( IMHO lol) We love it when you Blab well I do it's useful information . Don't worry as a wise feller once told me " It will be OK " Godbless
Great work on the Grill shell Brent. It's quite obvious and I can tell that the love for this particular project is making things go a little wonky and I'm sure the truck will turn out to be much more over-the-top than you first envisioned when you started. No worries though, that's what happens to all of us during a rod project. It just goes with the building territory. Quite normal and very interesting and funny to watch. Love love love that's what makes the world go round even for hotrods.Dig the pups! Keep up the good work and I'll be watching. And when your ready to let go of the truck let me know I might be interested if the time is right.
You are the Master Welder! My "visuals" follow right along with yours. I graduated from a northern California high school in 1963 and my memories of what makes a classic hot rod are exactly what you build! You are a true joy to watch!
Thanks for sharing, I thought about making a grill she'll from the tops of the doors, seen a few video's of people doing it. Takes the shape of a 34-35 grill she'll, then the grill itself a BBQ grill they sell at are home depot pretty cheap, for my time to make it and buy the material. Yeah it would be way cooler to make one out of found materials.
Brent, Congratulations on the 100K milestone! Now...all you fans need to like and comment so the man makes a living and can fund his projects we all enjoy!
Congratulations on your 100000. Been with you from the beginning. And your video work has gotten better but your mechanical ability, ingenuity and showmanship has always been 100%!
Brent, as you go through the build on this project... You are drawing more and more people of all walks of life!! You have an inner ability to peak their interest to turn this build into their own, without even touching it! God blessed you with a talent! Thanks D&D speed shop for seeing that in you! Keep up the build, the world is waiting for the finished product, thanks jim 👍
Eliminating the upper rad support, that came out wonderful ! It looks like it was always that way!!!! You're not painting the engine radiator black I take it. THIS is gonna be a real cool ride!!!!!
The high-speed video makes the fabrication a thrill to watch the progress. I agree with the addition of the lower pieces, they visually narrowed the shell. Impressive fabrication boxing around the radiator cap hole, it looks great. Well done!☮️
the grille shell looks awesome well worth the time spent. Grille shells make or break the overall look of a project so spending the time to get the proportions right is critical. if in doubt cut and grind till you hit the sweet spot! She's getting close to up and running cheers Brent :)
100k subscribers, cars and trucks to play with, a heated shop and 2 happy dogs. Plus you say your wife encourages you to work on these projects. You are livin' the dream of many people. Congrats. :)
Grill shell looks golden Brent, nice job on adding the chin back. Can't wait to see what you do for the insert. Congratulations on the 100K and you sure were right about Bello's Kustoms!!
Brent that thing (truck) really looks good. The stance it has just makes you want to drive it. You did a great job so far on that beast of a truck. Once you get the grill done and motor done, then it's off to painting, then Pablo's ride down the road, ha, ha. Have a blessed day.
I love the way you just get into it. No mucking about humming and ahhing, you just make it happen. You might be able to knock up a grill centre on your plasma table. Dig the show and your ingenuity and your flavour of Rigs. Keep up the great work. 👏🏼👏🏼✊🏼👍🏼🍻👌🏼
Back in my 20's, my buddy's first hot rod was a 36 Ford pickup. His grille was a factory chrome piece (told was an option in late 36) it was pitted but straight. He later found an NOS grille and radiator for $250.00. 25 yrs later when I did my 36 I found a shell that needed work and paid $150.00. He thought I got taken, little did he know he got the deal of a lifetime! Keep fighting the good fight Brent!
I really enjoyed being a mechanical designer, but if I had it to do over again I'd be a fabricator. I worked with the best, but you're a step above them. They had all the fun while I was stuck in front of a computer.
I like the way you work Brent ,,,,rusty old grill surround,, 2 hours later a grill surround fit for a king,,,,, i when i was fabricating car hot-rod bodies i my minds eye i knew what i wanted but there were time the metal just wouldn't shape up your two buddies there love you to bits and i can see you too love Pablo and Buddy ,,,, dogs are so faithful seeya next show ,,,,,,,, Ed
100,000. Yeah. The first 100,000 is the hardest. I see 1,000,000 in the future. It's inevitable. The reason is obvious. Top quality fabrication, enginuity, creativity, vision, techniques, video production and the coolest original builds you could imagine. Congrats. Thanks for sharing.
Man the lines you made on the grille nice and easy on the eyes looks great. Nice flow Thanks for sharing Kool idea for a video metal work seeing you do what do is always a good time. Fuel line would work good on the bars of the grill.
Like how the grill turned out. But if the bottom is still bugging you go ahead and put the spreader bar in and maybe it will draw your eye away from it looking wide. Again I think it looks good the way it is. Good job.
Since Brent wares a respirator for things that I don't and should I can't be too critical of the safety squint, however for you young folk out there, what hurts your eyes when you're welding isn't the light you see, but the UV light baking your retinas, that your lids do very little to slow down, so use your best judgment. Cheers on the 100k subs buddy. Its well deserved. keep it up.
You Sir are Simply amazing when Fabricating this Stuff. Simply amazing. 99% of people would of been looking for anoyher Grill. Not You, you just simply rebuild a Grill..GREAT JOB Sir..Love watching you do this. With the Camera above and looking down. We can see everything. Again Great Job and Video as Always Sir. Thank You for taking us along..
Yes, an explanation on how you set up your welder wold be great. I have a Canadian Tire hobby welder and I have no idea how to set it up…. Love your videos, smooth delivery and sense of humour.
Long time ago I help out at a body shop. People would come in with their rusty cars and want fix. The owner would tell them , I can’t make ice cream out of cows-t. But watching you prove him wrong. I can’t wait and see what you do for the grill. Either put round stocking it or cut up strip of metal.
I watch a lot of these hot rod fabrication videos, yours are my favorites. AND yours has the best music by far. The others I often have to mute - screaming guitars, etc. (and I play guitar myself, but not like that).
Damn Brent! That grill shell is looking great. Glad you put the little chin spoiler back on it, really makes it look more aggressive. I agree, something shiny in the front of that shell would look snappy. Can’t wait to see what ya come up with. Keep on keeping on…😎
I really like what you did with the grill shell. Fits this truck very nicely. I am a retired IT guy who also build cars. A 1930 Model A tudor now. I have learned a lot from you thank you.
Congrats on hitting 100,000 subs, it's well deserved, and I'm sure another 100,000 are on their way.

It's hard to believe this was just a pile of junk parts, your ingenuity, execution and ability astounds.
YES ! please do more on how you weld --settings and all that. Replacing those lower bits on the grill frame definitely is a win. You have a good eye, looks good. Great work, Fitzee would be impressed.

Yes do a vid on your welding skills !! We can all use or catch a tip or tric to help us !! 👍

Two grand dogs they are. And very patient too!
DOC FRANKENSTEIN!!! NICE WORK, Fella! Impressive Indeed.
Great work on the grill. Impressed with how easily you repaired it. And as always enjoyed the music.
Great work on the Grill shell Brent. Superb work and tips. If one were to watch the library, they'd have the whole notebook. Onward to #33.

" Nobody will notice except me and you".....The problem with that is the 'you' category includes 100k subscribers...Another great video.
Haha yeah
I'm diggin' the grille, coming along nicely Brent!
Use 1/4in brake line to repair the grille bars. They polish up pretty well.
Copper line soldered in might be a nice highlight

You were right about those two pieces on the bottom looks great 😎👍
Congratulations on 100k! The grill is coming together great...really like it.
I really enjoyed being a mechanical designer, but if I had it to do over again I'd be a fabricator. I worked with the best, but you're a step above them. They had all the fun while I was stuck in front of a computer.
Well deserved for your subs' I liked the take it off and putting it back on the rad , it shows there's no reason not to be trying out stuff .👀
Can't wait to see a grill in the grill looks amazingly awesome

Finding shiny grate material for the grill (budget version): Oven grate? Supermarket shopping cart side? Metal shelving grate? 😉
Back to the work bench..Looks good 👍 and I still like the music
100k so well deserved , you have brought hundreds of hours of entertainment to us out here which is so appreciated… your work inspires so many..
Since Brent wares a respirator for things that I don't and should I can't be too critical of the safety squint, however for you young folk out there, what hurts your eyes when you're welding isn't the light you see, but the UV light baking your retinas, that your lids do very little to slow down, so use your best judgment.

100,000 subscribers , we’ll deserved congrats !
This finniky work is interesting to watch and I like the way the grille sort of evolved. The end result suits your build I think.
The old girl looking up, I believe the left side of the grill is looking a bit on the high side. Cheers !
Great update this week Brent. Well on your way to two hundred thousand subscribers!
Can’t wait to see what you come up with for the grill bars.
If there's a world welding championship, you'll be at the forefront !
I have learned a lot from you thank you.
love the grill looks great and i dont think you will ever have to worry about if falling apart going down the road lol
I think I enjoy watching you fabricate as much as your auto repair work.
Love the time you take doing it your way. Get a screen on the radiator you’ll be home free. Thank you for sharing!
