    I've had a similar transplant, though my hair loss was more severe. Your results are coming along nicely even only at 5 months. There are plenty of growth left. Please keep updating on the donor area, it looks like some sort of trauma or shock loss. Best of luck forward mate, thanks for sharing.

    In terms of the donor area, the hairs removed will never grow as the follicle has been extracted....
    Gaps in the donor area usually means that area was over harvested so should grow it a little longer there...
    Other alternative is SMP which is what people use to camouflage FUE holes and FUT scars 👍🏻

    • @ayadhussin6771
      @ayadhussin6771 2 года назад

      Yes the donor area can grows back because the injury during surgery (hairtransplant) triggers healing process which in turn cause increase stemcell. And that will creates new follicles during process. Its been proven. So it takes long time to creates new follicles than 12 months of hair transplanted

    Mate, it looks great! 100% better off with a hair transplant than going bad. You have your hair back dude, we might never ever have a super natural hair line but with the FUE any i mean Any Hair transplant will still look better than going bald. Normally ppl that would criticize are the ones whose hair are thinning are too scared to have a hair transplant. Too me you already look way better now and even younger.

    That's looking amazing really happy for you 5 months aswell, took me 8 months until I saw actual density, I've had 3 hair transplants 1 FUT method and 2 FUEs I'm on finasteride and Minoxidil, the top is still a tiny bit thin, but I part my hair to look for it, I also look under fluorescent light aka bathroom. I'm after a fourth after lockdown etc but I'll probably be bald at the back of my head and full head of hair at the front haha

    Thats great progress mate, shame about the donor hope that thickens up. Im having mine done in Manchester in Jan but they will only do 2500 grafts in 1 day then wait a year for second. I have same patten as u to fill in they reckon 3100 grafts in total. so im having crown done first then front done year later. Very long. Ive always been worried about the donar area, some of my friends that have had it done and have perfect donor areas you cant even tell they have had work done. But i think the more they take from the back its going to be noticeable.

    • @HairlineConfessions
      @HairlineConfessions  3 года назад +1

      I’m not overly worried about it to be honest; it’s still early days. They say to give it the full 18 months for the donor area to heal. My hair was very short after the cut and that’s not particularly recommended. Basically, the shorter the hair the more noticeable it’ll be. Hopefully I’ll see a difference with the Regain on that area though!

  • @calitime8695

    Hey hey! New subscriber here! I have the same problem with my donor but it’s on my left side. My right side looks good. I’m 5 weeks in. And my donor on the left is starting to heal better. I rub vasalene in my donor before I go to bed then wash it off in the morning. I started doing that for about 3 weeks now and noticed crazy improvements! I seen a video that it works who really knows though. I’m going to stop using it now because I feel that it works and it’s hard to rub it when you grow your sides out.

      In the U.K. the brand is called Regaine. But it was stupid to think it would help with the donor area as the follicles had been removed. @@nicos7903 No, I don’t think so. It’s not really about age, it’s just about making sure your hair loss is stable. So if it looks like it did 2 years ago then you will be eligible for a HT.

      Yeah in the beginning I felt the same but now that it’s longer I’m not as fussed. As I say in the video, I think using the grafts to sort the crown out was the right decision 👍🏻
