I'd even spend the extra $400 and go for the 450SS over the base Ninja 500. Short Answer: 450SS > Ninja 500 (personal opinion) Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎

@Omni_Moto "anyone above 5'7" should fit" bro if they can't fit who the hell the can?! LMAO, if a BEGINNER bike can only fit people who are tall, then just say people under 6' can't ride.

2025 R3 with USB charging port, Bluetooth connectivity, slipper clutch and, finally, the Look, the R7 Look. I don't really see what the Ninja has over the R3 if that one is just "good enough" and this is supposed to be what, it's just a bigger engine, everywhere else the R3 is as good or better. Ain't hating but I'm struggling to understand what is the step up over the 400 besides the extra performance gain. I guess most people in this segment buy based on the price per HP criteria. The R3 is a big step up from a 125 where you now get a do-it-all bike, at which point which A2 bike one has some more oooomph I don't care, the 500 is for those that do. A lot of it comes down to styling, the new R3 look I am digging, not the Ninja look. Last but not least, pricing of these bikes wildly varies from country to country so that's a thing.
The added performance from the Ninja 500 is enough for me to warrant purchasing one over an R3. The R3 is not a bad bike, but if you look at the Junior Cup racing series from MotoAmerica the riders are all on Ninja 400 (even older than the 500). They have the option to go R3, yet they still choose Ninja. I think they are both excellent do-it-all motorcycles that offer a lot of overlapping features making them attractive options for consumers. Most riders would struggle to find an area where one outperforms the other for day-to-day use. Ultimately, if someone wants to buy an R3 because they have a personal bias towards it over the Ninja 500, that's fine and dandy with me because it's their money and their choice. I personally would go for the Ninja. If the R3 gets a displacement bump in the future for increased power output, that would be a different story. Thanks for providing a thoughtful comment on the subject and watching the video! Ride safe. 😎
its sad to say, but my 2006 Ninja 500R is still better than this. it has the same hp, a center stand. a whole gallon larger gas tank. plus it has the retro look with banana seat. it also topped out at 125mph flat ground with one tooth change in the sprocket.

The Ninja 500 is a band-aid that Kawasaki rolled out to compete against the CFMOTO 450SS. Ninja 500 is simply a revised bike. Bland styling, Still a BIG UGLY stock exhaust. They only called it the "500" to fake people out and make them think it's a much bigger bike than the 450SS. As you said, it's NOT a real 500, but a 451. So basically that means that Kawasaki thinks their customers are stupid... maybe they are? Now that CFMOTO announced the 2025 675SS, I would assume that Kawasaki will change the 650 name to 700 for 2026. But these band-aids that Kawasaki rolls out, rather than being more honest, will only harm them in the future as CFMOTO takes the lead.
Manufacturers typically plan motorcycles about 5-years out. So the bikes we are seeing unveiled this year (if they are new) were likely brought to the board back in 2019 for approvals. There is likely some variability in that 5-year window though, so this bike very well could be a band-aid like you say. I wouldn't say Kawasaki thinks their customers are stupid, but they are banking on them seeing the "500" tag and associating that with a better performing engine - but we can't give them to much flack because it is a _very_ common practice by OEMs. It's just some marketing magic. It can go the other way too where new riders see "500" and determine that's too much and will go with a "450" because it sounds smaller and more friendly. CFMOTO is shaking up the industry in a completely new way that has never been done before. I have been an advocate for them since day one of getting hands on their products. They don't always hit a homerun, but these last few machines they have launched did incredibly well with US buyers and I can only foresee them having continued success. I had a chance to speak with a Kawasaki representative a little bit about the Ninja 650 as well. All I got was "Don't expect anything anytime soon" in regard to that bike. I'd like to see it succeed and do better, but it hasn't seen a large enough decline in market share to warrant upgrades - and Japanese OEMs don't want everything to be too similar in terms of displacement and engine configs, so Kawasaki will probably keep it the same until R7, GSX-8R, and 675SS start taking enough sales away to trigger a reaction from Kawasaki. Great talking points though. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎

It seems like this motorbike is too small for you.🤭😁
A Honda Grom is one of my personal bikes. No bike is too small for me! 😂
Thank you for watching and ride safe.
52 ccs...
I see they kept that ugly exhaust.
That's where I keep my bread.
@@Omni_MotoI thought it was there for my mail lol.
Ride safe. 😎
@@Omni_Moto Band-aids can be rushed out. Which is what happened. They couldn't wait another 5 years.
While you might be right. It’s a killer bike
@@MasonWood-s5c You think Chinese motorcycle can beat the big 4 from japan 😂
@@lelouchabrilvelda1794 You do realize that CFMOTO owned Yamaha now, right? Maybe you should learn more before you make a dumb comment.
