The glorious thing about this character is he's similar to shogo from reincarnated as a slime in the sense he thinks he's powerful because he can't die in the sunlight yeah he can't die but he can still feel pain and the day he realizes that hard lesson is going to be a very entertaining episode

Also Tomoki's powers don't work with Princess Lily after she secretively orders a research on way for her and the royal family to be immune to it after they first met. So it might be also possible that the royal family of Princess Lily is also immune to Tomoki's powers.

The MC was basically chosen as a replacement for the Goddess in the long run, since all the gods and goddesses on Earth hate her and are on the verge of just 'wiping the slate clean' with that entire world (the hyumans especially, since they're a mockery of humans in their eyes because of how they were created/taught to act by Her). Athena in particular hates the Goddess because she basically stole her physical appearance, and Amaterasu is barely being held back by the other deities from going Biblical (and she sees the MC as the last hope for that world). The Goddess is arrogant and blind to the fact that the Blade of Damocles is metaphorically hanging over her head, but she's starting to get a clue. We see a hint of it in the anime, as at the time when she makes a deal with the MC to save the hyumans from the demonic invasion, she and her assistant are worried that "[he's] here again", which is implied to be an angry Earth god that she's nervous of.
Spoiler . . . . . . . . Tomoki treats women in the Kingdom as slaves. With his power, he seduced a lot of women married and engaged. In the novel, Tomoki has a lot of children. All those children are from noble women, low class & adventurers. There are some women who resisted his charm but those women were forcely raped by him. He's obsessed with Tomoe, when he saw Makoto he tried to trade his women for Tomoe but Makoto refused. He said something to piss off Makoto, he got beat up so badly by Makoto when Makoto came to his senses he healed Tomoki & left. After that, Tomoki became more crazy because he thought it's Makoto's fault that he couldn't have Tomoe. Those women adventurers that he charmed were displease to see Tomoki in that state of mind & they went their way to kill Makoto but Makoto killed all them with no remorse. For Princess Lily, she kept putting poison in Tomoki's foods to reduce his life span. Princess Lily is using Tomoki as a puppet because she wants to get revenge on the Goddess for the death of her mother. I really blame the Goddess for choosing a kid like Tomoki, who's mentally weak & immature as a hero by giving him power. That really will backfire on her for making the wrong choice. For Princess Lily all the wrong doing she did will put her in position were the people in the Kingdom might start a revolution & kill her because she let Tomoki do what he wants by raping women in the Kingdom.

It's not that accurate. There are people who would but that takes ZERO morals and the belief that the entire world is just a game with zero repercussions, which is rare. But even then they would pull it back and stick to a close group instead of doing it with every woman and their mother in sight like he does. To do to the extent that Tamaki did takes a true idiot, and thankfully those kinds of people are also rare. In reality one of his many victims' lovers or even several together would have killed him by now, even with his powers and harem protecting him. Even if the princess protects him she can't defend well against a revolution, can she? A bigger question is how people with stronger morals would take to the power and how quickly it will erode away their resolve. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Probably the only way to keep your sanity intact would be to refuse to use it.
Scary part is that the eyes work in a subconscious level. Even those stronger than him are somewhat affected, making them lenient towards him and randomly praising him for his actions. Like what happened with Olivia, when they realise it they are often utterly disgusted with themselves and utterly outraged.

Tomoki serves at least one important narrative purpose. Not every bullied kid in anime is just some sweet little guy who needs a break. It instantly sets the show apart from a lot of its peers that makes every character redeemable.
I tell you the truth. He's indeed a most disgusting character in moonlit fantasy really. Along with it he introduced firearms in the story. Forgetting the consequences that would follow not thinking that if humanity won against the demons the empire itself will use their knowledge of firearms to conquer others. Honestly, despite this power opening alot of possibilities for me to non-violently end conflicts, it's the worst power for me to have. What if I fall in love? What if it causes me to subconsciously activate this power? I'd be a nervous wreck over that type of stuff, constantly obsessed with preventing that power's activation unless it's absolutely necessary.
Wear a blindfold for the rest of your life or gouge your eyes out. The latter sounds extreme but it's arguably the most sound way to live a semi-normal life with someone else. The MC was basically chosen as a replacement for the Goddess in the long run, since all the gods and goddesses on Earth hate her and are on the verge of just 'wiping the slate clean' with that entire world (the hyumans especially, since they're a mockery of humans in their eyes because of how they were created/taught to act by Her).
Athena in particular hates the Goddess because she basically stole her physical appearance, and Amaterasu is barely being held back by the other deities from going Biblical (and she sees the MC as the last hope for that world).
The Goddess is arrogant and blind to the fact that the Blade of Damocles is metaphorically hanging over her head, but she's starting to get a clue.
We see a hint of it in the anime, as at the time when she makes a deal with the MC to save the hyumans from the demonic invasion, she and her assistant are worried that "[he's] here again", which is implied to be an angry Earth god that she's nervous of.

Tomoki treats women in the Kingdom as slaves. With his power, he seduced a lot of women married and engaged. In the novel, Tomoki has a lot of children. All those children are from noble women, low class & adventurers. There are some women who resisted his charm but those women were forcely raped by him. He's obsessed with Tomoe, when he saw Makoto he tried to trade his women for Tomoe but Makoto refused. He said something to piss off Makoto, he got beat up so badly by Makoto when Makoto came to his senses he healed Tomoki & left.
After that, Tomoki became more crazy because he thought it's Makoto's fault that he couldn't have Tomoe. Those women adventurers that he charmed were displease to see Tomoki in that state of mind & they went their way to kill Makoto but Makoto killed all them with no remorse. For Princess Lily, she kept putting poison in Tomoki's foods to reduce his life span. Princess Lily is using Tomoki as a puppet because she wants to get revenge on the Goddess for the death of her mother.
I really blame the Goddess for choosing a kid like Tomoki, who's mentally weak & immature as a hero by giving him power. That really will backfire on her for making the wrong choice. For Princess Lily all the wrong doing she did will put her in position were the people in the Kingdom might start a revolution & kill her because she let Tomoki do what he wants by raping women in the Kingdom.

It's not that accurate. There are people who would but that takes ZERO morals and the belief that the entire world is just a game with zero repercussions, which is rare. But even then they would pull it back and stick to a close group instead of doing it with every woman and their mother in sight like he does. To do to the extent that Tamaki did takes a true idiot, and thankfully those kinds of people are also rare. In reality one of his many victims' lovers or even several together would have killed him by now, even with his powers and harem protecting him. Even if the princess protects him she can't defend well against a revolution, can she?
A bigger question is how people with stronger morals would take to the power and how quickly it will erode away their resolve. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Probably the only way to keep your sanity intact would be to refuse to use it.

Tomoki serves at least one important narrative purpose. Not every bullied kid in anime is just some sweet little guy who needs a break. It instantly sets the show apart from a lot of its peers that makes every character redeemable.
