    im having an issue where i cannot get 8 channels out of my exit p2p, everything is set up correctly as far as i can tell. me controller>p2p>smart cable>sub-controller>dense cable>smart cable> p2p exit>smart cable> 8 inscribers. only 6 of the 8 inscribers connect, the furthest 2 do not. am i missing something?? its like this for every tunnel, pattern providers as well, cannot have 8 on a smart cable after a p2p exit, only 6 light up. so confused, would love to figure out wth going on before i decide to rebuild this entire system lol
    EDIT: someone on my server helped. it was an issue regarding overlaoding memory card configs with more than 32 channels. i had to add more p2p connections to the controller and configure them seperately, and split the inscriber arrays up into seperate memory configs as well. just in case anyone ever stumbles across this and it helps them

    Question: When i have a dense cable with 8 tunneled cabels in it, can i tunnel it again but this time into a new cable, so that i have a cable with only 1 line is used but has in it 8 cables with each 32 lines?

    Love these videos. They are so helpful and make gameplay even better now that I am starting to understand the stuff.

    so... would it be correct to sum up what p2p tunnels do as: squeeze 8 channels down into 1 for easier routing when you have a huge number of channels.

    • @Mondays3
      @Mondays3  Год назад

      Yes that is one use for it. You have multiple types though like light, redstone, mana. It’s very versatile. Most people do use it to compress and move channels though as it saves dense cable

      @@Mondays3what confuses me still is, are p2p channels one way or booth ways? because you only showed one way unusage all the time i believe but could be wrong

    there's a video of some dudes exploiting the sh*t outta p2p tunnels by making more than 384 channels in total

    why is this fricking stuff rocket science i watched the tutorial and i dont understand NOTHING

    • @MarcolinoLP

      Well, normally you dont have to use tunnel systems but depending on how big you want your system and how many channels your using its pretty usefull, as exaple: you got a massive storage room which would use 512 channels and a massive factory which uses 2048 channels you could put all the 512 channels into one dense cable (with tunneling) and the 2048 channels into 4 dense cable (with tunneling), this would save you a lot of time building all of the cables and would save you a ton of ressources and space, because instead of building 16 dense cables to your storage you only have to build 1. Again only if you got a massive base with ton of stuff you really need it but usually dense cable should be enough but more expensive.

      I totally understand. many people love this mod I want to give it a try but the complexity is SO unnecessary and everything is so unintuitive

    This bit confused me. For the advanced p2p tunnel system...can't the dense cable pull 32 from a single controller's face? Since you have dense cable coming from 8 faces wouldn't that be 32x8 faces, so 256 channels?

    • @dejazO0
      @dejazO0 Год назад +6

      no desne cable can only transfer 32 channels no matter how many of faces are covered by cable hence connect it with just one and use p2p.

    • @3verstorm
      @3verstorm Год назад +10

      if you wanted to run individual dense cables to and from every single storage pillar, absolutely, but this would get messy and bulky very quickly and heavily limits your options for expansion in the future
      using the P2P like this is more efficient and leaves many more faces open for future expansion
      think of P2P like zip files; compress a file, send it somewhere else, and unpack it on the other side
      i.e. shove 8 channels into 1 (P2P -> Smart Cable), send those 8 channels to Dense Cable (4 Smart Cable -> Dense Cable), travel as long as needed, unpack on the other end via P2P (Dense Cable -> Smart Cable -> P2P exit)

    i noticed there is a mana p2p tunnel as well as mana energy cells from ae2. is thee any way to use this to store mana in the ae2 mana cells? been trying to find anyway to store a massive amount of mana without using a bunch of mana pools

      I had this problem and it took me so long to find the answer so here it is for you: you just need to use an import bus attached to your mana pool and then connect it to your me system with mana cells in the drives

      No, I don't cover mod related things outside of the game. However it is very easy to make modpacks using the curseforge launcher. Just click create new pack, pick a MC and forge version, then click Add Content. Search for engineer and any mod containing that word will pop and click install on the ones you want.
