Tip for anyone who sees this: If you put a spatial Anchor INSIDE of the storage, it will chunkload it. It appears you will need an anchor PER storage you have, They will work kinda if you only have it in 1, but you need to go into the storage with it, else it will not be chunk loaded. It will also be glitchy with redstone and some blocks if you have the chunk loader in another storage. I tested this in version 1.20.1 so it may not work with all versions! If you take out the storage with the chunk loader, it will stop working for all storages that you went into and out of. Same with taking out and putting back a storage you already did this with. Keep in mind you will most likely need an anchor outside of the storage if you want to be able to trigger redstone outside. This is most likely due to it thinking what the video maker said. Hope this helps, and have fun with this info.
Important to note; once a Cell has been used in the Spatial IO Port, the dimensions of that Cell become permanently locked. Requiring the use of spatial pilon SCS dimensions as specified/used for that Cell size, with no ability to reset/erase/wipe the Cell data. The dimensions do not have to be in equal parts (1x1x1), and you can in-fact commit a 1x1x2, 4x10x9, etc area to different cells. The reason it did not copy at 4:30 - 5:00 was because the SCS dimensions did not match the Cell size being used - which can be seen briefly at 4:18 - 4:19 for the Cell being locked to the 1x1x1 size rather than using a new 2³ Cell, not because the SCS dimensions were uneven or that the Cell needed to be a 16³ as described (a 2³ cell will store a 1x1x1 to 2x2x2 area - it's in the name "2 cubed"). I was having difficulty in determining why extending the dimensions by 1³ was not working, since Cell sizing is not mentioned in any tutorial videos or the AE2 documentation and the Cell i used said "unformatted" - I eventually discovered the issue discussion on github.
There should be a skyblock style playthrough in there. One world in a chest nobody would know about. Interesting idea to have a simulation style world inside a modpack.
this is more of an adventure style then skyblock but there is a modpack called Material Energy^4, which uses the spatial storage system to great effect, it sets up the different cells as mini worlds for you to beat, its very good u can find it in the curseforge mod client thing(forgot what its called)
10:12 The grid... A digital frontier... I tried to picture clusters of information as they moved through the computer... What did they look like? Ships? Motorcycles? Were the circuits like freeways? I kept dreaming of a world I thought I'd never see. And then one day . . . I got in...
As a refined storage fanboy who recently started using ae2, i must say that ae2 really is much much much better than refined storage (i only miss the infinity card that 1.12.2 ae2 doesn't have 😢)
I had to put an anchor under the spatial I/O unit otherwise the card just got dumped back into the system. I don't know how this worked with it being connected to both the pink and yellow networks.
How do you get the p2p tunnels from the block to the house to work, I know you use a quantum link, but I cant figure out how that works, could you possibly make an indepth video on how to do just that part? I don't get how you got it linked to the spatial io port
is there a way to power these with mek power sources, creative energy cubes don't seem to be able to power them so would I need to make an AE2 power source?
I'm sure you figured it out by now, but networks can only use their own stored energy. To expand the amount of energy a network can store you need to make a bigger controller or connect AE2 energy cells.
Very confusing when you keep talking about "drives". I'm assuming you mean cells? They've been called cells since AE1, and it even says so in the name. Calling them drives "because everyone is doing it" isn't a good reason, since people new to the mod will (correctly) assume you're talking about ME Drives. Other than that, nice and clear explanation about the whole spatial stuff. Thanks.
This mod has a lot of unique ideas but it honestly just falls flat compared to other storage mods. Way too annoying to set up and I don't understand the use of half of its features, like this spatial storage shit seems completely useless. Something like simple storage network is so much better.
More complicated and also more powerful. For a basic system yeah refined storage is alot more simple, but you can do some crazy cool complicated stuff with AE. Not to mention the compatibility mods that make storing mana, source, chemicals, power and other stuff makes it even more powerful. Personally I like tinkering around with it too, but some packs I just can't be bothered lmao

Good idea but you can't expand further than what has been saved

11:34 : Gonna check it out later, hypothesis, before leaving put an chunk loader there . maybe it will keep the chunk loaded
Chunk loading doesn't work. It's not technically a dimension, even though it kinda is
now THIS is a reason refined storage isnt as good as AE2
AE2 will alway be superior in my eyes
As a refined storage fanboy who recently started using ae2, i must say that ae2 really is much much much better than refined storage (i only miss the infinity card that 1.12.2 ae2 doesn't have 😢)
There is addons that can add dimension cards and infinity cards. @brunekxxx91
This is great! Thank you for the imaginative tutorial
I hope you build something great with this!
im stuck with my storage saying "unformatted"
I can imagine playing with friends and trapping them in the matrix
I had to put an anchor under the spatial I/O unit otherwise the card just got dumped back into the system. I don't know how this worked with it being connected to both the pink and yellow networks.
Can you use the spatial storage to make your base disappear and reappear
You absolutely can
can you use the chunk loader to set up farms inside the spatial io connected directly to the storage ME?
Very good video 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
ngl id like to see how hard it is to do a full 128cubed spatial storage cell being used
My cell just says unformatted and doesn't work driving me crazy. Any help
you must construct additional pylons!

I have a separate tutorial explaining all things p2p
so you can trap someone in a drive ?? and forget about it
Yes you can. But if they died in there they would spawn outside of it
Thanks for guide,
You are very welcome
is there a way to power these with mek power sources, creative energy cubes don't seem to be able to power them so would I need to make an AE2 power source?
Mekanism power works fine for me but you can try using energy acceptor
I'm sure you figured it out by now, but networks can only use their own stored energy. To expand the amount of energy a network can store you need to make a bigger controller or connect AE2 energy cells.
i still dont understand how you are meant to get up to trillions of stored energy
help :3
that's advanced
I want to use it in a world but never get that far
wow, is this stuff in rs?
No it's not
@@Mondays3 :'(

Is different depending on the addon. Cells in vanilla AE2 but AE2things it’s drives
